4 out of 5 eggsnot bad

Pros: The resolution is good, the colors are nice.

Cons: There is a slight yellow hue to the screen. The edges have a slight discoloration which can be seen if your paying attention, but for the most part if your not looking for it, it blends right in.

1 out of 5 eggsThese Monitors are trash

Pros: The monitors were cheap at the time, should have known better. I have owned Gateway monitors in the past and they were top notch. They are now just rebranded Acer trash.

Cons: Bought two of these monitors for two different clients. The LCD died on one of them. When RMAing them realized that these were Acer monitors. Should have known better. Everyone knows that you never buy Acer monitors. They returned the monitor well within warranty but it wasnt the exact monitor, it was all scratched up loose in the box piece of trash. Honestly I will never buy anything from Acer/Gateway.

Other Thoughts: What a learning experience, will never buy another Acer product again. You should do the same.

5 out of 5 eggsDual Screens

Pros: Purchased these for my wife's home office. Brightness, contrast, and color is great. Large screen allows you to work on several projects or place your calender on one and work other items on one or both screens. Takes the hassle out of having to minimize one item to work on another.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: When connecting to a notebook computer you will have three monitors showing. You will need to merge the notebook screens with one of the monitors in order to enable dual monitor mode.

3 out of 5 eggsgood value at $159.00

Pros: inexpensive, matte screen, good value for $159.00

Cons: No height adjustment just Tilt

Refresh rate not great for high motion scenes but for general office work hard to beat. I bought 2 thinking of buying a third

5 out of 5 eggsGreat monitor for the price

Pros: I got this monitor for 161.99. Can't beat that price for a 27" monitor.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: The brightness needs to be turned down some it's the only adjustment I had to make to the settings.

4 out of 5 eggsA bit blurry for actual monitor use, great otherwise

Pros: Lots of screen space
Bright
Easy to setup
Low power consumption

Cons: Pixels are too big to use as an actual monitor used for text. I write software 8+ hours a day and need crisp text. Unfortunately, this doesn't do it because the pixel density is too low. The text looks blurry and gives me a headache after a couple hours of use. My 25" 1080p Asus monitor was considerably clearer.

Other Thoughts: If you use this for something like CCTV or watching certain videos, it's decent although the refresh rate is a bit high for motion. In my case, I'm left disappointed in the image quality.

Given the blurriness, I wouldn't recommend this for actual computer use.

5 out of 5 eggsAcres of Screen

Pros: Very low price for the size. Bright screen.

Cons: I actually had to adjust the brightness down, during broad daylight.

Other Thoughts: Was considering going to UltraWide format, but for the price I tried this 27" and it is possibly the best hardware decision I've made.

3 out of 5 eggsOne is great, other is not.

Pros: I own two of these monitors and they are both very nice. The VESA mount on the back is perfect for using a different stand than the one provided.

Cons: One of the monitors will randomly go black. Not turn off, but black screen. I've swapped the cords used to connect to my PC and the problem persists in the same monitor.

Other Thoughts: All in all, great monitor especially for the price. I only wish that I wouldn't have to turn my monitor off and on every hour or so.
