4 out of 5 eggsDisplay has been great for several years now.

Pros: -Slim & light design
-Light is downward facing and unobtrusive.
-Multiple inputs on the back
-Comes with cables
-Power brick is very small
-Display is good after some tweaking.
-Runs nice and cool.

Cons: -Power supply broke at the year and 6 month mark (wouldn't power on) but Acer promptly sent me a new one without sending back the old. problem solved.
- The stand is flimsy and will wobble wight light weight of monitor
-Sometimes need to hit the power button two or three times for it to register a press.
-No auto select for inputs.
-Button location is hard to use and creates much difficulty in navigation.
-No headphone out or audio jacks period. (not expected but would be nice).

Other Thoughts: I used this monitor for exactly a year and eight months before it failed. This display is much touted in reviews, and I was very happy with it (save for a few niggles mentioned in the cons) but then one day it just didn't power up. The unit worked an hour before. I would not even get the orange standby light, however the power brick showed a green light.

I was forced to send this unit back under warranty (which is 3 years.) This process cost $40 on top of the original $149 I spent on it making it a $210 purchase after shipping and tax + 6 days+ downtime.

Obviously the manufacturer's warranty and solid reviews on this and other websites indicate that this display should not have failed when it did. Never the less, I would not purchase another Acer display when there are quality Sony, LG, Toshiba & Samsung monitors at affordable prices.

2 out of 5 eggsLots of problems

Pros: Slim monitor with decent color and finish.

Cons: First slew of issues was with the external power brick which failed after only a few months. I had a compatable one lying around so it wasn't as big of a deal, however acer would not replace it. Second issue maybe 4 months into owning the monitor was one day the menu screen kept coming up and going away and even getting to other buttons like input which was annoying to say the least. Ripped out the button interface board, which had nothing wrong with it upon further testing; something acer wanted me to pay $30 for shipping (on a $120 dollar monitor?!). Latest development is now a gradient of teal in a progressive scanning movment on the right edge of the monitor bleeding into the center has appeared. This is after 2.5 years now and its time to put this beast to rest.

Other Thoughts: Compared to my Acer P235H which has had its fare share of abuse from constant moving over the span of 5 years. This monitor sadly doesn't hold a candle.

And i would recommend anybody with the misfortune of a button cycling to rip out the board that houses the push buttons. It will resolve the issue but leave you with nothing in the way of interfacing.

1 out of 5 eggsGARBAGE!

Pros: None

Cons: Blew up within a month of getting it was told that I had to contact the manufacturer. They wanted me to pay return shipping for their faulty product.

Other Thoughts: Garbage is all I can say. I gave it a 1/5 because you sure as heck can't go any lower.

3 out of 5 eggsGenerally a nice monitor

Pros: This is overall a very solid monitor. The screen image is great, and it's pretty aesthetic.

Cons: Just recently, after 4 years of frequent use, the monitor has been spontaneously resetting during certain activities (e.g. watching videos or playing games). This can happen as often as every thirty seconds, which is extremely inconvenient especially due the monitor taking 4-5 seconds before it can display an image again.

I googled the problem and it seemed that a decent amount of other people have the same problem. Apparently this is a sign that the power inverter is detecting a fault and tripping.

5 out of 5 eggsWould buy again

Pros: Great colors. Brightness is good after some adjustment. Came with HDMI and DVI cable. Bought 4 years ago and it's still going strong.

Cons: No vertical adjustment.

Other Thoughts: I paid $150 for this. I got more than expected.

3 out of 5 eggsDark spots, Flat colours.

Pros: Well it's what I needed at the time and it's definitely stood its ground when it comes to a lot of things.
-Good picture quality
-Clarity
-Not reflective
-minimalist bezel
-good contrast ratio

Cons: Where to start.
First off, I paid full price at a best buy 2 years ago and didn't realize until i had photoshop installed and found out it was defective and outside the return period.
but that's my own fault and not a reason to dock stars.
-Dark spots appeared all across my screen, little tiny spots that are just slightly darker than everything else.
- The colours are amazingly flat, i can tell yellow white from white but often have a hard time telling other colours apart. things tend to blur together.
-A defective monitor went through several stages of testing and nobody noticed.

Other Thoughts: Honestly it was a good monitor when i needed it at first, but as I transitioned from gaming into art it didn't meet my needs at all.
Never had a problem with the UI tho.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat monitor

Pros: Still works after years of use for playing video games, watching videos and doing Paint Tool SAI drawing for up to and sometimes more than 10 hours a day. Great vivid and sharp colors. HDMI outputs work great. No dead pixels. Ecstatic I've made the purchase when I did :)

Cons: The settings assessable through the buttons at the bottom are a bit hard to navigate around but that's a small price to pay for a good monitor considering I've maaaaaybe touched them 3-4 times in the last 3 years.

1 out of 5 eggsComplete scam of a warranty

Pros: Good picture, brightness levels.

Cons: When it breaks down from wear and tear, Acer refuses to repair their items because "products that contain evidence of rodent, insects, or their remains could pose a health hazard to our repair technicians and therefore cannot be repaired by the manufacturer."

Other Thoughts: If you have so much as a dead fly or insect in the case of your monitor, Acer will refuse to honor their warranty commitment. Apparently some sort of Creepshow roach swarm came out of the monitor, and the techs never wear gloves. Heaven help them if someone forgot to wipe the dust off of the monitor, they would refuse that as well, I'm sure.

1 out of 5 eggssperadic no signal

Pros: Nice size

Cons: Doesn't always work randomly get no signal regardless of connections etc... Warranty program is non-existent so left with replacing both monitors with a more reputable company.
