5 out of 5 eggsWorks great + Linux Support.

Pros: Real Cherry keys. Good software. Very configurable. Semi-official Linux support for every feature that the Windows build has.

Cons: Edit: Removed earlier complaint about reliability - apparently my firmware had been corrupted and a 'reset' from the software fixed my lighting keys not working.

5 out of 5 eggsGerman Ingenuity

Pros: -Looks great
-Really comfortable
-Awesome build quality for the hardware
-Every key a macro key with the software
-I love the lack of the caps lock. More gaming keyboards need it!

Cons: Sometimes when I restart my system my keyboard will freeze up and I will have to unplug both USB cords and plug them back in. It does not happen frequently and never when I am in a game or program so I refuse to take off a egg.

Other Thoughts: I think this keyboard would be considered one of the best keyboards for gaming if it had better software. Power Grid really lacks compared to the potential of this amazing keyboard.

4 out of 5 eggsAlmost perfect

Pros: Looks great. Feels great. Brown switches are awesome. Good software. Love the thumb buttons and Shift key.

Cons: I find myself hitting the macro keys too easily, there's no tactile difference between them and the other keys and often I will hit M5 instead of ctrl or M1 instead of ~. The software is easy to use but it has so much more potential that is out of the reach of even an advanced user.

Other Thoughts: I wish the software was easier to program, there's so many more things that can be done with the lighting, I've seen a couple example online of what people have done, but no one is sharing.

After a couple months the LED behind the '3' key has died. Hopefully this will not be an on going issue.

5 out of 5 eggsThis is the BEST gaming keyboard

Pros: 1. It feels awesome to type
2. A lot of customizations
3. Thumb macros are awesome
4. On the fly macros record time delays
5. The space for your palms is comfortable.

Cons: 1. It's more expensive than most of the other keyboards
2. The software will take a lot of time to get to learn
3. The software for the keyboard isn't the best

Other Thoughts: I love this keyboard so much. I don't know which switches I got, but the one I have isn't too loud when I type. This is the best keyboard I've owned. I've owned all top of the line keyboards including those from Razor and Logitech. This this is far better. The on-the-fly macros are amazing for MMOs and actually record the time delays. Both of the Logitech and Razor keyboards I had didn't do that.. Additionally, this is one of the most comfortable keyboards I've owned. The palm is awesome and I can't stress that enough. This is a keyboard that will do anything you want without the stupid gimmicks. I highly, highly recommend any gamer give this board a try. You'll never want to use another keyboard.

5 out of 5 eggsOne Beaut of a Keyboard!!

Pros: Mechanical board with multi colored switches to choose from..

Backlit keys for those who play in the dark ( with manual key sets to which keys illuminate)

Built in USB and Audio pass through connection right on the board

Roccat software allows huge modifications and macros at your disposal

Cons: For those looking for multu color backlit it only comes in Blue.. But hey Roccat blue is great!!

Wrist rest can't be removed. For some may be an issue I prefer it.

Other Thoughts: As i tried the Roccact Kone XTD mouse i decided to give there first Mechanical board a try and am not disappointed at all.
The software comes packed with dozens of customizable options, Sweet built-in features, and a solid upgrade to mechanical keyswitches with individual backlighting.. Overall this is a great keyboard for those looking for a reliable keyboard!

3 out of 5 eggsHmmmm

Pros: Incredibly sturdy, well built, more than comfortable.
Best keyboard I have ever owned.

Cons: Like everyone else is saying, I had one LED go out in the first year.... But in the last 6 months, i have had 8 keys die. Not a huge deal to me.
BUT THE THING THAT REALLY MAKES ME WANT TO POUR TOBASCO IN MY URETHRA. the cables.... If my foot so much as nips the strong coaxial cable, the keyboard will shut off and re plug itself. I have had many many issues even when I wasnt touching the cable.

Other Thoughts: great keyboard, buttnRoccat needs to get on their customer service game...

2 out of 5 eggsSteer clear...

Pros: Build quality is solid. Design is well thought out. Liked the cable channels, layout, etc.

Cons: DRIVERS. NOT COMPATIBLE with Windows 8.1
-They state it will work with Windows 8 on their site, which it does, however there are numerous issues with 8.1. Drivers would not even load and, although keyboard will function, no lighting, macro or special function keys work. Reached out to Roccat customer service, they responded, but just asked if it was plugged in. :-)

Other Thoughts: Not worth the money - Should have just gone with what I know.

1 out of 5 eggsDo NOT risk it.

Pros: Sturdy build, MX Cherry Switches, software, comfort.

Cons: Horrible Customer service (Roccat), faulty LEDs.

Other Thoughts: I bought this keyboard back in July. By October, the first LED went out. More started to fail. I've contacted Roccat and they have not even answered me, let alone done anything about it. I now have a total of 36 LEDs that have completely failed (actually two of those are weak and about to fail). Many other people are having this issue and even when they get replacement keyboards the same thing happens.
I would NOT recommend spending your money on this keyboard. It's pricey and the risk of having faulty LEDs is too great. Save yourself the headache!

2 out of 5 eggsNot so Great

Pros: Lots of keys
Macro Capability
Good layout
Fairly good key response
LEDs help locate keys in dim light

Cons: Tactile feedback not truly positive like the old IBMs
Shift symbols are Under not Over the numbers. Annoying when looking for that rarely used '&' or '^'
Lights go out

Other Thoughts: This unit replaced an ancient IBM keyboard. I loved the tactile feedback and precise response on the IBM, but got annoyed at the lack of extra keys like context menu, function, etc. Also the clicking from the IBM gets on my nerves.

I had this unit a little over a month and was fairly pleased with it. I do a lot of keying in my work and my own time and wanted the tactile response I got from the old IBM keyboard without the loud clicks.
It is not as quiet as I hoped and the tactile is not as precise as the IBMs.

That would have been ok - with the other positives, but I began to lose LEDs from the keys. About 30% of them are now gone.

Not so good

3 out of 5 eggsBig and Heavy

Pros: Does not move around - heavy with good rubber feet

Cons: Software setup is NOT intuitive. I am a software developer and this thing is poorly documented.

The KEYS are nearly illegible when not lit because the print is GRAY on BLACK. Just stupid.

Got the BROWN key switches which are supposed to be NOT clicky, but they click like crazy.

USB cable that connects to PC IS TERRIBLE. It is WAY TOO THICK AND STIFF, way too long. Clutters up desk. Impossible to hide.

USB cable has TWO 3.5mm connectors, one for MIC and one for AUDIO, but they are SEPARATE. My laptop only has a SINGLE 3.5mm connector so I can connect EITHER the Mic or the Audio but NOT BOTH? Apparently does not work with a headset that has a single 3.5mm connector! I just ordered a Y cable hoping that will fix it. Having separate Mic and Audio seems just wrong. Normal earbuds with MIC do not work. Needs a SINGLE connector like a phone.

Keys stick up TOO FAR above plane of keyboard. No idea why they do this.

There is an extra column of M buttons on the left and my fingers hit those accidentally all the time when going for left shift.

The setup sheet is all BLACK and nearly illegible.

Smart Phone control app DOES NOT WORK - won't connect to PC.

Other Thoughts: Maybe I will figure out how to love this, but so far, not wonderful.
