Cons: Dead On Arrival. I realize DOAs come with the territory when buying refurbs. However, be aware that these drives are likely OEM drives that have been refurbished by third parties, not by Seagate.

Pros: I am very impressed with speed that my order took from start to delivery. One day and it was delivered the next.
I'll be back to order again.

Cons: Can't think of any.

Pros: Great Seagate SATA HDD, especially the price.

Cons: The only issue is that it took a week to receive it.

Other Thoughts: Add free shipping to all orders so the long shipping time won't be so bad.

I waited too long to install so it was too late to return to Newegg. Oh, well, I guess I'll take the hammer to it and throw it away.

Other Thoughts: I suppose when you buy refurbished you get what you pay for. Test immediately on receipt - I wish I had.

Pros: It was cheap. Dirt Cheap. $29.99 with free shipping. It works like a charm on a mini itx Linux Mint 12 build. I was shopping for a build as cheap as I could go, just because I could. Reliable...so far. But then again, if it dies, I'll just buy another one and reinstall Linux.

Cons: Did I say it was cheap? I wonder how reliable it is. Then again, if it dies, I'll slap another one in at this price and just reinstall Linux.

Other Thoughts: I did this with a mini ITX build. This hard drive cost less than my motherboard...barely. I'm a cheap guy and sometimes I pay for it. For 29.99 I was willing to take a chance. I don't keep my important documents on the hard drive, I back them up somewhere else. I've suffered catastrophic hard disk failure one too many times.

Pros: The name seagate, thats all.

Cons: The drives have 1000's of days use on them. They are not refurbished as claimed. Just formated and resold. They should be tossed int the trash. I won a computer repair shop and have replaced drives that were in better shape then these drives 1 of the 2 drives I received is down to 83% of its health life left. Newegg your good name is at staker here. Pull them of your site!!!

Pros: Got it for less than $30. Installed new copy of Windows 8 Pro without any hiccups. Once a got Crystal Disk Info up I found the drive had less than 75 hours of run time and no SMART errors!

Cons: None besides needing a SATA power connector, my old power supply lacked SATA so I needed an adapter.

Other Thoughts: I think this drive is hit or miss from reading other people's reviews, but the one I got met and exceeded my expectations.

Other Thoughts: Needed a Win 7 workstation for a variety of purposes, had no need for a big hard drive. The price made this a no-brainer. Paired with a left-over Core 2 Duo CPU, a $49 ASUS m/b, and a $20 stick of 4GB DD3, it makes for a quick PC that will easily handle somewhat demanding computing tasks and even decent game performance with a modest video card.
