1 out of 5 eggsCash up in smoke!!!!

Pros: zero

Cons: I purchased 10 of these and 9 of them are dead.

The Team website and RMA process is written in a some language called "F.R.U.S.T.R.A.T.I.O.N."

After entering the same information 20 times in 2 different web browsers, I got frustrated and gave up.

I have also given up TEAM products. Never again.

Other Thoughts: I will NEVER purchase another TEAM product again!!!!!!!!!!

2 out of 5 eggsDied...

Pros: Worked OK while it lasted. USB 3.0 speed was good.

Cons: Purchased in April 2012, dead by Christmas 2013.

Other Thoughts: I never saw it comin'... It used to light up at the end and flash while it was working. The light stopped coming on and neither BIOS or Windows recognized it any further. Comatose; can't wake the little bugger up. Nearly 20 gigs of data down the drain.

4 out of 5 eggsRMA situation improved

Pros: Good, fast, cheap.

Cons: This drive quit on me after about 5 months. Computer reported that the drive was locked. There was no way to unlock the drive.

Other Thoughts: Several earlier customers reported they were unable to return their units under RMA because shipping would cost them more than the unit was worth. I'd like to report that this situation has been improved. There is now an RMA center in San Jose, CA. I was able to return mine for very cheap. They responded and sent me a new unit in a few days. My thanks to the customer service folks at NewEgg for helping me locate the RMA forms on line.

2 out of 5 eggsFailed

Pros: It holds data. The warranty is honored.

Cons: It retains the data but fails to operate. Advertised write speed on the package is USB 2.0 not USB 3.0. The package says up to 20MBs not the 30MBs indicated at Newegg.

Other Thoughts: The drive worked fairly well until it didn't; slow for USB 3.0. It quit one day with client data on it. Lost the data, but Team replaced the drive.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: This USB drive has been working great. I have formatted it a couple times and have been writing data to it continuously, and it has not failed on me. It of course, thanks to USB 3.0, has great read and write speeds. Although the write speeds could be faster, I am very pleased with this USB drive for the price.

Cons: Faster Write Speeds would be nice, but not necessary for the price

1 out of 5 eggsDon't buy

Pros: Electronically not bad, more or less does the advertised job.

Cons: The plastic tabs that hold the drive in the metal case disintegrate on the inside and the guts slide out. The application necessary for replacement by the manufacturer is about the same length as to apply for a job with the NSA; daunting, time consuming, annoying and the information they require is invasive. In addition to which one must pay postage one direction at least. Too much trouble for the $32 I paid for it here at Newegg (it's cheaper now, but still not worth it)

Other Thoughts: As always, the devil is in the details. Team's warranty is virtually worthless. If you have purchased this drive, DO NOT carry it on your keychain. Keep it stored as the fragile thing it is.

5 out of 5 eggsSolid drive

Pros: I have had this drive since 7/12 - never had an issue. Is it the fastest out there? No. It also isn't expensive. It is very reliable. I have used it as an imaging drive over a year and imaged over 100 machines with it. I have never had a fault and it has never lost a file.

Cons: I keep misplacing the plastic cap if I don't put it back in the carrier. I would like it to be faster.

Other Thoughts: For the money spent, this is a great device. It hits a sweet spot on the price/performance ratios for me.

1 out of 5 eggsPoor Quality

Pros: Cheap. Cheap. Cheap.

Cons: I purchased this drive on sale as a back up to my PNY brand drives, ive owned several different usb drives in the past and this is the only one that has ever died on me. I have had this less then 3 months, and the first time i used it it failed 2 hours into using it to move files to another machine I own. I noticed from the day i got it that the usb side did not sit square in the aluminum body, it was off a little. I didn't think that was a huge deal. But its clear now that this thing is a cheap piece of junk. I was expecting to have world class quality, but i did expect it to work.

Other Thoughts: I have contacted the company and they have said they will send me a RMA but what a hassle for a cheap piece of junk. We will see if i get one back or if its of any better quality.
