5 out of 5 eggsThe Dominator truly dominates

Pros: Super Fast and very reliable. Never had an issue and I leave my computer on for weeks at a time. Sometimes turning it off for a night, other than that, just a restart is the only rest it gets.

After more than a year and a half of blazing fast use, it is, with out a doubt, worth every penny and more if you ask me.

Cons: People say price...I say you get what you pay for.
Do your research before hand, and if you pay more, you will get a better product.

So no cons.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome RAM

Pros: Very Fast ram. Ran it on my x58 (triple channel) and then on my x79 and it worked like a champ.

i7-920/ EVGA x58 classified e760
max overclock all manual settings
9-10-10-31 tRFC 88 1T @ 2202 Mhz w/ 1.7 volts

i7-3820/GA-X79-UDR3
max overclock so far. I havent pushed for more or running then at CR 1.
9-11-11-36 tRFC 218 (on auto) Command rate 2 (auto) @ 2334 Mhz w/ 1.7 volts.
I have not tried to lower tRAS (36) tRFC (218), Command rate (2), or voltage (1.7) yet but I am sure it will still be stable.
If I push the ram further I will post it.

Cons: I guess the price

Other Thoughts: If you want some fast ram and dont want to pay the price for some 1866, 2133, 2400 mhz ram then I would recommend these. I will see how far I can push this ram.

On my x58 i used three sticks of course. I could not push the ram any further than 2202 mzh because the x58 setup could not pushe any further and I already had vtt at 1.5 v so I didnt want to go further. In other words the limit here was the x58 system not the ram.

I overclock everything so I can confirm this ram is pretty darn awesome! I never leave reviews either but, I had to for this ram

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: 16Gb
One of the fastest timings you can find.
Unbeatable price.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: It did show up as 1333 and higher timings in BIOS, but that's an easy fix by switching to XMP.

5 out of 5 eggsmmhmm

Pros: Seeing it receive the maximum 7.9 on Windows Performance Index, and maxing the charts on all PassMark performance tests.... I couldn't be happier with my decision. The clock timings speak for themselves, as does Quad Channel. I need not say more :)

Cons: I imagine the only possible negative [for me] would be that I did not spend that extra cash on a second kit, in order to have 32gb quad using these ultra-fast clock timings. But that isn't a con, that's just a budgeting problem.

Other Thoughts: The 4x8gb kit does NOT have the same clock timings, and won't due to it's size. This is the fastest RAM you can get, especially at the price. And unless you are running a server or a server farm via Hyper-V, you won't even tap half of it. Especially in a game.

The only thing better is the Dominator Platinum series, and when I say better, I don't mean faster. It is slower, but it has more features which are all great. If you want fast, this kit is IT.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat ram

Pros: Quad Channel marketing. Works on AMD systems,
GA-990FXA-UD7, 1600 after a few BIOS changes. 7.9 WEI

Cons: Dislike the marketing to make it seem like Intel only ram, my opinion. Other then that none

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Memory

Pros: - Lowest latency (from what I've seen)
- Sturdy heat spreader (removable, hex screw)

Cons: - Tall heat spreaders, interfered with my Scythe Cooler
(not an issue, able to rotate the cooler 180 deg)

Other Thoughts: No installation issues, Asus AM3+ MB had the right voltages/timings on post and is working excellent.

5 out of 5 eggsCorsair Dominator 16Gb (4X4Gb)

Pros: I purchased this RAM 7 1/2 months ago & I installed it onto an X58 mobo. It worked great even though it was not certified for an X58 mobo. A month ago I finally had all of my pieces to assemble an Ivy Bridge board & CPU. I removed the RAM from the X58 board & installed it into the 1155 board & it performs great for a 7-7-7-20 timed RAM.

Cons: Initally the RAM would not boot my Asus mobo but the MemOK feature self-adjusted the RAM & it has been great.

Other Thoughts: Corsair, like all companies, have occasional failures. I have used many different Corsair products & I have learned to trust their hardware, software & customer service.

5 out of 5 eggsPosted - Runs as advertised

Pros: Posted and runs at advertised timings and voltage. Currently running memtest and everything is going fine.

Cons: Newegg requires me to type here...

Other Thoughts: Ran at slower timings until setting them manually in bios (not rams fault).

Why I chose this ram:
Future potential of socket 2011 even though I will be running them on 1155
Excellent balance between capacity and timings/speed
Heatsink top can be removed to fit under cpu heatsinks
Price really isn't that bad for the capacity and timings
