1 out of 5 eggsAlso had issues with this product

Pros: Cheap

Cons: Didn't work despite passing memory tests

Other Thoughts: We had a Dell M6600 that came with (2) 4GB sticks. We upgraded to (2) 8's since we were running SolidWorks on the machine. Worked fine for about 6 weeks then started taking forever to load drawings. Memtest found nothing wrong, Dell built in diagnostics found nothing. Dell's online diagnostics failed it on Advanced Pattern but couldn't identify which stick failed. Tested each individually, both passed! Had a spare so I swapped and tested each individually all passed. In the end we had to buy (2) new sticks from Dell(made by Samsung) and now Solidworks loads drawings normally again. So one of the 3 sticks(at least one) is bad but impossible to tell which.

1 out of 5 eggsDon't buy for MacBook Pro

Pros: On a MacBook Pro, nothing positive.

Cons: In spite of Memtest reporting a "pass" on all tests (multiple times), this RAM would freeze my client's MacBook Pro at least twice a day. Finally discovered that he bought this instead of RAM that was designed for Macs. There is a difference. Managed to mitigate the issue a bit by installing SMC Fan Control to keep the temps -way- down but, as my client is a musician, the fan noise doesn't let him record. So the 16GB came out and will be used for a PC (which can live with marginal RAM).

Other Thoughts: Mac users should stay clear of these modules.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome

Pros: Got this for my MacBook Pro that specs state max RAM is 8gb, but 16Gb works perfectly.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Always been happy with the quality of Corsair products.

4 out of 5 eggsthey work

Pros: Inexpensive

Cons: looks cheap

Other Thoughts: These were purchased for an ITX build which used laptop ram. I am very happy with my purchase but I think a 'value' product ought to look valuable.

1 out of 5 eggsBad Memory

Pros: It worked after I installed it

Cons: I started having blue screen issues (system crashes) with my laptop and start up issues.

Other Thoughts: I will check out their warranty to see if Corsair stand behind their product.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent RAM

Pros: Easy Install. Works as Advertised and My late 2011 Macbook Pro has 16GB of RAM.

Cons: None Noted.

Other Thoughts: For the love of everything that matters, If you have a Mac, Order Mac RAM. You wont be kicking yourself for not doing it in the first place.

1 out of 5 eggsFaulty Product

Pros: They were on sale

Cons: I now see while they were on sale. I purchased these, installed them in my machine, and the computer would not boot. I then tried mixing my old, working, RAM with one stick of this pack, still did not boot. I also tried them both, single and in pair, in another machine and still nothing. It wouldn't be so bad it at least one would work, then I would at least be able to have a slight increase in memory. I am extremely disappointed that now NewEgg wants me to pay for the return shipping. How is this good customer service? I will seriously think before buying CORSAIR again. More so if it is their "VALUESELECT" line.
