5 out of 5 eggsApology

Pros: Good as it says

Cons: None so far

Other Thoughts: Related to my previous review, I just want to apologize to G.SKILL for alleged problems that I complained to.
There is no problem at all, everything works as it is supposed to.
I was mislead with the previous RAM settings that needed no additional tweaking to be able to run at max speed.
Now, with minor adjustments, everything is perfect.
Sorry once again and thumbs up for G.SKILL!

1 out of 5 eggsNot fair

Pros: I believed it was the price

Cons: Did not get what I payed

Other Thoughts: My friend bought me this ram and brought it to me in Serbia. I have chosen it cause of it's specifications. However, when I installed it and checked it, my bios and memtest are showing that it's working on 1333Mhz instead of 1600. It has sticker with all advertised features, but that is not true. Each memory stick works on 665Mhz instead of 800. My previous ram worked at 1600Mhz, so motherboard is not a problem. Now, cause of my location, I can not turn it back to seller and that is just not right. I feel very much dissapointed.

Dear Customer

We will be glad to help you with this issue. It is normal for the RAM to default at a lower speed. This allows the memory to be used in any DDR3 computer. To enable the performance values of the RAM, you must enable XMP/DOCP, or manually input settings for the RAM. Depending on CPU used, additional tweaks may be necessary, so if you need help with this, please contact the G.Skill support team directly and they will make sure the RAM is running fast and stable in your computer. This is very high performance RAM so we cre certain you will be very pleased with the result.

Thank you

5 out of 5 eggsExcellence

Pros: Fast, matches my mobo

Cons: Not faster

Other Thoughts: I stopped blue screening ever since I picked these up, although they were really rare, obviously they were RAM related. Food for thought.

4 out of 5 eggsIt's ram

Pros: It is faster than most ram at ddr3-1600, for around the same price. I have only had it for about a week but it has held up so far and looks cool too.

Cons: The way the site describes Cas is a little confusing, and they sell similar sticks for around the same price value even though this stick is 14-28 percent faster, not an issue with the ram itself but still disconcerting.

Manufacturer Response:

.
Dear Customer

Thank you for your G.Skill purchase and review. This is the best DDR3-1600 RAM on the market. CAS Latency defines the performance level of the RAM, the lower the number when comparing the same exact frequency means it is better. There are other kits that are CL8, CL9, and CL10 that are close in pricing, but pricing varies with NewEgg. It is possible to get a faster kit for cheaper than a slower model on special. For any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us directly.

5 out of 5 eggsMem Is tight. Definatly change your Bios

Pros: Now my build is solid as a rock. Definitely gunna get the other two sticks. AI suite 3 likes to over clock the memory over the settings suggested and my system seems just fine.

Cons: I got 2 sticks of 4 gigs for my build figuring I would get the other two later. For a couple weeks my new build was crashing for sleeping, for big loads, running my apu at high temps quickly. I still could manage, and figured I made a bad apu/gpu combination or had burnt out the apu temp sensor. Once I checked the comments here I realized I made the mistake a lot of others had here. I didnt manually change the bios to the extreme profile.

Other Thoughts: Theyre Grrrrreat

5 out of 5 eggsLowest Latency In Its Class!

Pros: Fastest RAM for my price point and it's awesome. I picked this DIMM because it had the lowest CAS latency for PC1600. So far they run like a champ!

The weren't too tall since they fit under my Noctua NH-D14. I was worried since they had the heat sinks sticking up but it fits with 1 or 2 mm to spare.

Cons: Just wish they came in red but that's a personal preference.

1 out of 5 eggsStrange Brew

Pros: Good numbers. High speed for investment.

Cons: I purchased two kits making 16GB of this RAM. Since installing I had random errors pop up. As usual one thinks it is NOT the new item that was just installed, so I have checked EVERY other aspect of this system. Drivers, software etc. I actually ran MS memtest at bootup which found no errors. Finally after weeks and a ton of frustration, I downloaded Memtest86+ and immediately upon execution it began showing errors. I then removed this memory and re-installed the original 8GB, reran the memtests with no errors, Also the problems have thus far gone away.

Other Thoughts: I never expected brand new memory from manuf. would be bad but I guess it happens. Now to see how easily I can get them replaced without any major hassles/headaches.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Customer

We are sorry to hear you had such issues. For future reference, you should only use a single kit of RAM in your system. This ensures optimal performance and prevents any mismatching problems. Also, this memory kit is above standard, so make sure to configure settings in BIOS/EFI. If a module appears to be defective, please send it in for RMA exchange and a new kit should work much better. Visit the G.Skill website for complete RMA procedure. The G.Skill RMA procedure is quick and hassle free, so your computer will be up to full speed in no time.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome Deal

Pros: Great timings, great appearance, great value. These are a steal for the price considering they are have below average timings (lower is better) and are priced the same and even less than other RAM.

Cons: No problems at all.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Stuff

Pros: I can't believe I got RAM this fast and pretty for about $10 a Gig. The heatsinks look and work great, and the timings are really tight.

Cons: Did not jump into the motherboard by themselves when I opened the package. Really none that I can think of.

Other Thoughts: I really do like to peek into my rig and look at them sometimes :)
