5 out of 5 eggsFinally! RAM that works the way its suppose to!

Pros: Went into my Bios and went to my XMP settings, and selected the correct profile. Then Bam, everything was set correctly. Now the test to see how long it'll stay alive.

Cons: Nothing i can say so far.

Other Thoughts: Can't put it in slot 1 due to my cpu cooler (evo 212) is blocking it's path. But that's only minor due to how my mobo is setup. Simply put the RAM sticks to 2 and 4 slots.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Memory For The Money!

Pros: It works perfectly!

Cons: No problems.

Other Thoughts: Installed in new build in November 2014. ASRock motherboard had no problem recognizing memory speed. Great memory for the price.

1 out of 5 eggsonly runs at 1600mhz otherwise BSOD!

Pros: works at lower clock speeds...but why would I pay more money for that?

Cons: not compatible with asrock 970 pro 3 motherboard and fx 8320 processor...its all over the web that this motherboard and processor will only handle up to 1866mhz yet the newegg memory finder found this RAM for me saying it will work. Needless to say I've spent countless wasted hours trying to load different hard drives, memory tester (which the ram tested fine). It defaults to 1600mhz in the bios and if you try to load the profile for the ram and bump it up to what its suppose to run at (2133mhz) you get a blue screen until you change it back. Not very cool..alot of wasted time/money figuring out that newegg/gskill doesnt even tell you about compatibility issues when you're checking for compatible ram for that mainboard.

Other Thoughts: I already had crucial 1600mhz ram that worked just fine, was trying to get faster ram, not more expensive ram at the same speeds!

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Customer

We are sorry to hear you had such issues. The RAM is compatible, but if you have certain hardware that does not allow it to reach maximum frequency, lower the frequency and it will work fine. With DOCP enabled, set the DRAM Frequency to DDR3-1866 or DDR3-1600 and the system can be perfectly stable. Additional tweaks may be necessary to fully stabilize DDR3-2133, but it requires advanced knowledge and experience. If you would like assistance with it, contact the G.Skill technical support team directly. They can provide the expertise you need and save you the headache of having to do research and figure things out. Once you are through with them, your computer will be fast and stable.

Thank you

5 out of 5 eggsPrefect.

Pros: It does what it says it will. Runs at the advertised speed. Only had to go into BIOS and select the XMP profile for it, and was good to go.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: I bought this kit to go from 8Gb to 16. I originally bought this set back in '11 with my 2500k build. Recently started maxing out my ram, so it was time to get more. Only thing is the heatsink is SLIGHTLY different than what's pictured, and covers the whole top edge to edge. Must of been changed recently because my old sticks look like what's pictured.

1 out of 5 eggs

Pros: none, wasted alot of time trouble shooting

Cons: doesn't work to specs

Other Thoughts: Purchased to upgrade an identical model number kit (12-14 months old) going from 2x4 to 4x4. this kit will not run at 2133 1866 at best. Had recently run memtest 86 on exsisting pair with no errors. Motherboard is Asrock fm2a75m pro4+ with amd a107850k cpu

Manufacturer Response:

.
Dear Customer

We are sorry to hear you had such issues. The memory kit will surely work to specifications. For DDR3-1866+, keep in mind AMD CPUs can only support ONE DIMM PER CHANNEL. The CPU will be overloaded with full slots running at a high frequency. In addition, it is not guaranteed multiple kits of RAM can operate to full specifications in the single system. To remedy this issue, please contact the G.Skill support team directly and we will make sure your computer is operating at maximum performance. With the RAM configured properly, it will also improve your APU graphics capabilities.

Thank you

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Reliable Fast Memory

Pros: Great frequency, low CL9 latency, looks and reliablity

Got this kit when I upgraded my gaming rig to i7 3770k from 1st gen i7, detailed specs down review. Just have the system daily driving at 4.5GHz with this kit at great latencies for its class, down at 2000MHz and have not had any issues at all since the day I set it up just over a year ago now, but I do have more room to overclock with the kit at slightly faster than rated Latencies

This kit is staying in my main PC until DDR4 is commonplace

Cons: I didn't get 16GB originally- Writing this as I order a second kit!

Other Thoughts: G-Skill Ripjaws X DDR3 2133 CL9-11-10-26 2T @ 2000MHz
Intel Core i7 3770k 3.5GHz @4.50GHz ~1.2v
Asrock Z77 Extreme4
Noctua DH-14 140mm monster heatsink
Thermaltake Armor A90 w/ Corsair HX750 PSU
GTX660 MSI Twin Frozr II

for a couple years I wrote articles for a reviewing website, on mid-range PC components in my spare time and was also an overclocking enthusiast (on a budget)

5 out of 5 eggsStill Going Strong

Pros: Bought these with the rebuild of my computer over two years ago. They have not had any problems and I am quite pleased. Diagnosing RAM issues can be a real pain. I came back to upgrade to 16gb.

Cons: None to think of.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Looking & Performing Memory

Pros: I love the blue of these sticks. Matched with the rig I was building.

As far as performance, I upgraded from a 4GB, so noticeably a big difference.

Cons: None
