5 out of 5 eggsSeems to be a good product.

Pros: No problems at all out of the 4 sticks that I bought. This is the first time using this brand.

Cons: None on my end.

Other Thoughts: Just replaced my motherboard with a (MSI A78M-E45) and processor (A10-5800K) along with a Samsung 840-EVO ssd, and Windows rating (graphics) was only at a 4.1. I figured it was the memory so saw these on sale and bought 2 sticks to replace 2 (4gb) sticks of older Corsair 1333Mhz, and my graphics rating went up to a 5.6. Ended up buying 2 more sticks for a total of 16 and now I am at 6.8. Good memory!

1 out of 5 eggsRMA

Pros: RAM was great and stable and I had used it for over 3 years.

Cons: Denied my warranty when the RAM died. I sent it in for an RMA and they informed me the pins were damaged. They were not damaged when I sent them in. I should have taken pictures but thought this was a good company as I've purchased their RAM exclusively for over 6 years. I guess the economy must be getting to them. They just lost a long-time customer over a product that was $44.99 when purchased.

Manufacturer Response:

.
Dear Customer

Glad to hear the memory was working well for 3 years. This is a high performance memory kit that is perfect for any system builder. The specifications are above standard, so make sure to configure settings in BIOS/EFI. Without the proper settings, the motherboard may attempt incorrect values. With regards to RMA, every item is inspected upon return for any physical damage, and the warranty sticker. As long as the RAM passes these two requirements, we will be glad to send you a new kit. It is very simple and clear cut, there is no need for us to play any games. We will do everything in our power to accomodate each valued user, but we can not replace physically damaged modules. For any further questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us directly.

4 out of 5 eggsSolid RAM

Pros: Great ram, looks good

Cons: had to set my bios to docp to get it at 1866, was reading at 1600 before...not really a con though

Manufacturer Response:

.
Dear Customer

Thank you for your G.Skill purchase and review. Glad to hear you think the RAM looks good and works well in your system. All DDR3 motherboards can only default up to the standard value of DDR3-1600. Any higher requires manual settings or enabling of the XMP/DOCP profile. Doing so allows the memory to run at the rated performance values. With 8GB of DDR3-1866, your computer should be capable of anything you put it to. Video streaming, multi-tasking, gaming, and more can all run while the operating system remains nice and smooth. This is the beenfit of having sufficient RAM. For any further questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us directly.

5 out of 5 eggsIt's RAM

Pros: It's exactly the speed I needed and it seems to be nice and fast. The cool colorful heat-spreaders are boss. It wasn't DOA and still isn't dead after a few months.

Cons: It wasn't free.

Other Thoughts: It's RAM.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat performance for the money

Pros: Performance and stability were hard to beat at this price when I bought them, especially when they go on sale. My set of 4 runs flawlessly at 1866 with the timings listed. I can run with slightly lower timings (8-8-8-24) at 1600 without issue as well, but another set in another machine were somewhat prone to errors at those settings so I switched back to factory settings. My bios detected the wrong timings (much slower, CL11? - no thanks), but manual setting fixed that just fine.

AMD FX-8350 at 4GHz
Gigabyte GA-FXA990_UD3
4x4GB RAM (this review)
Corsair H80i CPU cooler
Geforce GTX650 Ti

Cons: None at the moment

Other Thoughts: I haven't pushed this set of hardware with drastic overclocking or anything as the performance is fine for me - even gaming

Pros: Super smooth ram. I have no issues with these ram sticks. My motherboard defaulted them on 1600mhz. I had to go into my bios and put on the first XMP/DOCP profile to make them 1866mhz. What a difference in games.

Cons: none.

3 out of 5 eggsNot actually compatible with Z97

Pros: Nice appearance, great for motherboards that it's compatible with.

Cons: isn't actually compatible with Z97 motherboards. I have an Asus Z97-Pro (WiFi AC) and after a lengthy call with tech support it turns out it's not compatible.

Manufacturer Response:

.
Dear Customer

We can surely help in getting your computer system stable with G.Skill RAM. Not sure which technical support you called, but this memory kit is compatible with the ASUS Z97 motherboards. If it was not compatible, they should tell you within one minute after knowing what hardware you have. In BIOS, enable the XMP Profile under AI Overclock Tuner, then the motherboard can automatically detect and set all performance values of the memory kit. If you continue to have a problem, test each module individually to see if one performs differently. It may be a bad stick causing problems. Should the issue persist, contact the G.Skill support team directly and they wil make sure the RAM is working fast and stable in your computer.
