Its a SSD :) Cons: Still Pricy compared to HD but in time the SSD will fall even more Other Thoughts: while this is not a SATAIII drive it is still a great drive for the price i have bought 7 of these now and installed them in builds for customers with next to 0 problems, had to do a complete format on one Drive but other than that everything has gone smooth and 0 problems so far, I have had excellent luck with OCZ drives i have sold about 25 over the last year with no returns or dead drives yet. 1 out of 1 people found this review helpful. Other Thoughts: This drive will work on older systems with SATA ports, but check your BIOS first! The system receiving this drive was unable to change to IDE mode, so I had to connect it to a system that could and update the drive firmware from 3.50 to 3.55 before I could use it. 4 out of 5 people found this review helpful. This drive was excellently priced, I'm always happy to see the prices of SSDs falling. I have had luck with OCZ SSDs in the past, so I expect this drive to be pretty reliable. Cons: While attempting to install Windows 7 I received the "Windows could not configure Windows 7 to run on this computer's hardware" error message. With some research it seems that this is a pretty common issue with this drive. My solution was to upgrade the firmware, but others got it to work by either secure erasing the drive or by changing the SATA mode to IDE in the BIOS. These are simple solutions if you know ahead of time which one will work, but tough if you have to try them all. Other Thoughts: 3/5 eggs because it is (so far) a good drive, but required a lot of work to get it up and running.
