5 out of 5 eggsGreat Memory

Pros: The high speed, low latency/timings, and low voltage are all very good. I used CPU-Z as a test, and all the specs checked out. This is a great option for the price.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I upgraded my laptop from 4 GB to 8 GB. There was a noticeable improvement in performance. Also, my old memory had higher latency/timings and a higher voltage. The new lower voltage translates to a lower power draw and an increased battery life.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat RAM

Pros: Works as advertised. Fast, no errors in 4 passes of Memtest86 v4.2.0. Runs at 800Mhz 9-9-9-24 at 1.28v on ASUS ASK55A-BBL4-AIB Intel Core i5 3210M(2.50GHz). Windows Index memory score went from 5.9 to 7.5, Passmark Performance Test went from 1296 to 1441, with the major improvements coming in Memory and Video operations.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: ASUS ASK55A-BBL4-AIB Intel Core i5 3210M(2.50GHz) computer was delivered with one 4gb memory stick running at 11-11-11-28 and 1.5v. Why a dual channel machine was delivered with one memory stick is beyond me. Significant improvements in onboard Intel 4000 video performance as well as memory operations.

ASUS was a bit coy about whether this computer would run with 1.3v memory. Crucial had a 1.3v ram stick certified compatible with this computer, but then this memory went on sale and had better timings. Took a chance that Motherboard/BIOS would adapt to 1.3v, and it did. Showing full 8GB installed, running at 1.28v on CPUID, and while a bit hard to prove improved battery life without a controlled test (formerly had the 4Gb + a 2Gb I had salvaged from an earlier upgrade running at 1.5v), it ran about 5 hours while doing a big disk defrag and running an online course with some training videos. That seems a bit better than before for battery life. Boots a bit faster and seems snappier.

All in all, I am loving this ram.

4 out of 5 eggsshould've stuck with either gskill or kingston.

Pros: worked at the ratings that were printed on them, and wasn't DOA... low voltage was a bonus.

Cons: only 5 months of use, and already dead.... worked decently up until that point, but then BSOD and now wont boot.

Other Thoughts: confirmed it's the ram and not some other component by switching them out for the ram the laptop had. will be stuck with 1 stick till next week.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks like a charm

Pros: Popped it in. Started up my laptop like normal. CPU-Z and SIW Hardware both report 1600 speed, CAS 9-9-9-24 timings, and 1.28v. Stable so far.

Cons: Somewhat expensive.

Other Thoughts: Using these sticks in my t430s, needed the extra ram for virtual os's, hopefully I'll get a little longer battery life too because of the low voltage but I haven't measured anything yet.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: 1.35v and CL9. Got two for 16gb total. Much better than the 2gb samsung bottleneck my laptop came with. Plug and play with Dell Precision M4700. (WEI from 5.6 to 7.9 if you care about that.)

Cons: |

Other Thoughts: Nice packaging.
