5 out of 5 eggsFast fast fast

Pros: Fast, I mean, wow this thing is fast. I frequently use flash drives to move large video files around and this thing is great. Even at USB2 this has outperformed every other flash drive I have tried.

Writing a 1.5G MPEG2 video file...
USB2, Sandisk Cruzer Glide 32G (the slowest one I have ever used), at Fat32 6:36, at exFat 64k 5:58.
The Lexar took 51 seconds over USB2 and 23 seconds over USB3.

Cons: The "stylish" case is nice but it is a little too slick as some others have commented. It hasn't been a problem but if there's a negative to this item that is it.

Other Thoughts: If you're just moving simple documents or small pictures or backing up a card file save the money and don't buy this. Just get some cheap cartoon character drive and be happy. But if you need to move large things and speed is important this unit can't be beat.

I chose the exFat file system with a 64k cluster size to avoid the overhead of NTFS and for a hopefully a little performance gain with large files.

1 out of 5 eggsDead

Pros: It was pretty fast while working...

Cons: Died really fast....

Other Thoughts: Today, I plug it in and nothing... activity light keeps flashing and system reads it as IS902E instead of Lexar.
Shows as E:\ Innostor NAND Flash USB Device but cant access it at all.
Tried to use it on my laptop and OPPO DVD Player and still getting same result.
I bought Lexar because I still have a 256MB Lexar USB drive that still works after years of use... but it looks like the quality went down...
Very disappointing...

4 out of 5 eggsFast

Pros: - Fast
- Smaller than Corsair Voyagers I was using
- Retractable

Cons: - A little slick but whatever

Other Thoughts: Using Crystal Disk Mark I did a test on a sequential read on at 4000mb and it Read@162mb/Write@148mb! For $60 this is a great deal in my opinion.

4 out of 5 eggsFastest

Pros: This is the fastest flash drive I've tested. Using ATTO it gave 125 write and 170 read for transfers above 32 KBS to 8192 KBS compared to 90 write and 130 read in my Kingston DT Ultimate 16 GB. Oddly enough doing a full install of Linux Mint with no swap and only / (requires plenty of RAM) it booted in 45 seconds, whereas the DT Ultimate with the same programs installed, boots in 30 seconds. Both are very snappy for opening applications in Mint. No noticable difference. For this they are as fast as a good SSD. It transfered files to and from the OS Win 7 SSD about 30% faster than the DT Ultimate.

Cons: One thing I do not like is how slick it is. Very easy to drop. To make matters worse, the polished edges are very rounded and beveled, making it harder to grasp. I have never seen a drive this slick or poorly shaped for pushing in and out. For a retractable, it is solid, but not as solid as the Kingston non-retractibles I have. Other than that it is extremely impressive.

5 out of 5 eggsVery Fast on ATTO Speed Test

Pros: Fast & Cool

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Update to my earlier post. Used same ATTO speed test software as Newegg's video. All larger file sizes tested at +/- 186 write & 180 read using USB 3.0.

5 out of 5 eggsFast & Cool

Pros: Fast as advertised, not hot

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: Used with old mini-tower home computer that I upgraded to USB 3.0 via Newegg using .... SYBA USB 3.0 4-port PCI-Express Controller Card, VIA VL800 Chipset Model SY-PEX20103 ..... and Koutech IO-RCM630 Multi-in-1 USB 3.0 SuperSpeed Front Panel Internal Card Reader with USB 3.0 Port. Plugging this USB 3.0 32 gig flash memory into the front panel yielded 150 read & 130 write speeds using "Check Flash" speed test software on a 4 gig test file. This is the biggest file that this software will use. But the speed was increasing as the test progressed, so with larger files I expect to see faster speeds (just like the video explains on Newegg). During test the metal case was warm but not hot.
