5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Super quick
Super easy to install
Reasonable price

Cons: Transferring data was a bit of an ordeal (that could be due to me being a moron, though)

5 out of 5 eggs7.9 Experience

Pros: My weak link was my HD. Not anymore.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: SSD's are extremely fast. Coupled with the old fashion HDD's for data storage you get the best of both worlds.

5 out of 5 eggsGood piece of hardware

Pros: Works extremely well with data encryption on the the drive for laptops.

Cons: Sacrifice of disk space for a reasonable price but for the most part, our users don't use up much space on their laptops and should be saving their important data to the server.

Other Thoughts: We are considering ordering and swapping out the drives for our users that use laptops as their main source of data input. Currently, the laptops are painfully slow and cause a considerable amount of downtime. We need a cost effective way to speed things before our next round of laptop upgrades and this seems to be it.

2 out of 5 eggsCrapped out

Pros: When it works, it works well. After I disabled the start-up graphics, I was able to manage a 21 second boot time.

Cons: I've had this SSD for a little over 2 weeks. Everything was going well until randomly one day when I tried to start up my computer it had to do some sort of repair for start-up. Next time I tried to turn me computer on, the screen went black halfway through start-up. Restarted it one final time and the SSD was not registering. Tried different SATA ports, Power connectors and even plugged it into another computer and it was still not registering. Now I have to send it back for a replacement and have to spend an entire day downloading all my software again.

5 out of 5 eggsBoot Drive Success

Pros: Was easier than I expected to be using this instead of a mechanical HDD. Once Windows "failed to start properly", but windows repaired it automatically. Cant prove that is the drive though. reboots in 13 seconds. Gets to the Login screen before my TV powers on.

Cons: Wish it was cheaper

3 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Very reliable. Quick read speeds, Intel Toolbox is a pretty solid software, makes a good os/boot drive.

Cons: Write speeds degrade pretty quickly and Trim does nothing to help. I started noticing it slowing down on file transfers a few months in. I have the 840pro on my main desktop and I write to that a lot more, but performance didn't drop much.

Other Thoughts: Though absolutely reliable, it isn't the fastest and performance starts to dip rather quickly, as with all Sandforce drives I've owned in the past. I think this will be the last SF drive I'll try unfortunately because I just can't get over how slow the write speeds get and how ineffective Trim is. I recommend a Plextor M5S for the same price (very good drive), or the 840 Pro (worth the extra cost) if performance is what you're after. I do mainly video editing so writing to it frequently with fast recovery is important to me. This is one of those drives you kinda have to "baby" which I did not like.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome!

Pros: Purchased as Shell Shocker deal for $94 + FS and no MIR too! Great priced but what's even better is the performance! Windows 7 loads up faster than the BIOS on my PC! Not only that, I installed MASS EFFECT 3 and the load times were minimal compared to the Xbox 360's, in terms of starting of course. Besides that Photoshop has dramatically improved and the biggest difference is when I edit my home videos on Adobe Premiere. Its twice as fast versus a regular 7200 RPM hard drive.

Cons: None so far...it's performed very well for me. NO hiccups, no noise.

Other Thoughts: This is my first SDD. I'm running on some older hardware but it still performs great. I've compared it to some newer PC's and I think for what I paid for all my PC parts, it is a winner! I'll put what I have below for all those looking for an SSD and wonder if it's going to help or not (hint: it helps a lot!).

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: I got this on the recommendation of a friend (as part of an Intel i5 computer build) because of its speed and reliability. It makes the whole system ridiculously fast, to the point that the computer windows logo at the beginning of the boot process doesn't even have time to finish it's graphic before the computer is up and running.

I picked up a 1TB drive as a backup for images, music, etc., to keep this drive uncluttered (due to the size limitations of the current SSD products).

Cons: no cons yet other than the additional cost, but it's a good investment.

Other Thoughts: using two hard drives like this takes a little more setup because you need to remap your downloads file and such over to the other drive, that takes all of half an hour if you procrastinate.

5 out of 5 eggsSuper awesome

Pros: Being my first upgrade to SSD, I was blown away by the speeds and performance. This particular model functions great! Was happy to see mounting bracket and sata cable.

Cons: Absolutely none.
