Pros: Picked this up for $200 after a $100 mail in rebate. AMAZING SSD, I get 520 MB/s reads and 500 MB/s writes

Cons: nothing, this is the best SSD you can buy, frimware was perfect, worth the wait for this to come on the market.

1 out of 5 eggsreconsider buying these drives

Pros: 3/5 drives work.

Cons: I received one bad drive (out of 4 I purchased). The drive errored out upon initial fdisk. Because a month had elapsed I contacted Intel directly for warranty service. I paid the price of the drive to facilitate a cross-ship.

When Intel sent the warranty replacement it was used and failed in the same manner. After paying the cost of the drive for a cross-ship for the first drive, they demanded that amount again for the replacement of the replacement.

I suggest not dealing with Intel on these drives unless you have very large credit card limits.

And two faulty out of 5 drives = 20% drive failure rate?!? Something must be amiss at Intel quality control.

Other Thoughts: Please get your act together Intel!

4 out of 5 eggsGreat Product

Pros: Worked great, Windows 8 loads insanely quick. Love it for gaming as it loads content in games fast which gives an advantage over a normal HDD.

Cons: Has issues every now and again where is will cause a blue screen with windows 8.

5 out of 5 eggsIntel SSD + data migration = +++

Pros: Fast. Quiet. Seamless migration of Win7 OS with Intel data migration tool.
Previously had Windows experience index at 5.8 limited by fairly quick RAID 0 array. Disk IO now at 7.8. Now my limitation is the video card.
I'm running a nearly silent PC. Prior to SSD I could hear loud disk crunching even with dampers. Now I am thinking "how do I quiet down my 28 dB fans?"
Props to Newegg for prompt delivery.

Cons: Would be faster if I had a SATA 3 port. Next stop new MB, processor. Con is my system - not the SSD.

Other Thoughts: Reduced primary disk data content to 150 MB prior to install.
Installed SSD, OS immediately installed drivers on reboot.
Downloaded and ran Intel data migration tool.
On reboot, switched BIOS to read SSD as primary.
SSD now running as silent primary, RAID array still makes a nice scratch disk for HD video processing.
When I first started I was nervous, reading reviews about stalled / hung disk migration. Intel made this EASY.

4 out of 5 eggsLess compatible than Samsung 840 Pro

Pros: This is basically a good drive, and a solid performer.

Cons: Did not work in my Lenovo W520 notebook. I worked with Intel and with Lenovo and neither seemed to care that I couldn't get the drive to work in the notebook. I recently bought an SSD from a different manufacturer and it worked flawlessly the first boot. The other drive is much faster as well. I'm sure the Intel is a good drive, but I have not ever been able to have it boot in the machine.

3 out of 5 eggs520 Cherryville SSD

Pros: Faster than a normal HD

Cons: I had a 320 series 120gb SSD from Intel and I felt that was MUCH faster than this one.. But I already gave it to my wifes brother. It is kind of a disappointment.. I am not certain if I have a buggy SSD or what but I tried to reformat twice and I still have somewhat average speeds with this thing.. I expected more from it with the price and intel name on it..

5 out of 5 eggsFast and painless

Pros: Fast. Intel's cloning software made the move was painless. Made a 3 years old Sony Vaio VPCCW21FX seem blazing fast. WEI rates it a 7.8.

Cons: Price.

5 out of 5 eggsUnbelievable.

Pros: This is my first bootable SSD drive on a desktop. I wasn't expecting too much of a change from my build from 2011 with a 3Gb/s Western Digital magnetic drive. But man, the speed increase was more than noticeable. I'm running this out of an Intel 6Gb/s port with a 6Gb/s cable and I don't know if it's actually using extra bandwidth or if SSD drives are just inherently faster. Either way, I'm satisfied.

Cons: Mounting this drive on the Cooler Master HAF 922 was a little tricky. The screws that came with the drive are too short for the mount support, so I had to use spare screws from my case. The HAF 922 saved me. The drive itself has no problems though.
