5 out of 5 eggsGreat again! My 2nd set

This review is from: CORSAIR DOMINATOR 12GB (3 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model CMP12GX3M3A1600C9

Pros: Works well, easy to overclock, easy install, works with previously installed memory

Cons: I wish they would reduce the price and get rid of the fan. Unrelated: I wish Corsair still offered the 3 x 2GB kit with CAS latency 8.

Other Thoughts: I added this memory to my already installed Corsair Dominator (3 x 2GB). The only differences were the size of the kits, 6GB vs 12GB, and the CAS latency, 8 vs 9.
After lots of research I thought I would have issues due to mixing CAS latencies but after some minor changes in BIOS my PC booted up and recognized all 18GB.
At first, I manually set CAS# to 9-9-9-24 and all other BIOS memory settings to AUTO. This forced my previous memory to run at these timings to match the new kit.
After stress test and seeing no issues, I set overclock to run all memory at 1805Mhz which forced the memory to run at 9-9-9-24 anyway and, after another stress test, still no issues.
I did NOT install the fan.

5 out of 5 eggsexcellent as usual

This review is from: CORSAIR DOMINATOR 12GB (3 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model CMP12GX3M3A1600C9

Pros: As usual new egg rocks and so does corsair, this is the 12th purchase of Corsair RAM , both value select all the way to dominators, and have yet to ever have on stick fail, just run them as spec'd and they will last a lifetime. this particular set runs super, and the price was good for the kit, did not use the airflow2 fan yet but dont really think i need it since i run them @1600.

Cons: none as usual, newegg and cosair always knock it out of the park.

Other Thoughts: the airflow2 fan is probably overkill but is a nice add on,

Pros: These have been working flawlessly for 2 years now at their rated speeds and timings on my EVGA X-58 Classified.

The well designed heat spreaders plus all the airflow in my case and I don't even need the included fans.

Cons: None.

Cons: None that i can think of

Other Thoughts: Works flawlessly as does every other Corsair product I've purchased. Will stay with Corsair memory on all my future builds.

5 out of 5 eggsAs always

This review is from: CORSAIR DOMINATOR 12GB (3 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model CMP12GX3M3A1600C9

Pros: Worked flawlessly just like always from Corsair.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: I run a P6T ASUS motherboard and if you have a lage aftermarket cpu cooler then the RAM cooling fan will not fit. Not a bad thing since I don't think it will make much of a difference especially if you have good air circulation in your case to begin with.

Upgraded from 6GB with this kit and my old 6GB kit were the same exact spec from Corsair.
