2 out of 5 eggsDecent for a budget stick

Pros: Cheap for the size
No cap to lose like many other sticks

Cons: The metal flap/slide can come loose so it will randomly open
The USB plug is loose and you can feel wiggle room in the stick

Other Thoughts: I liked this stick initially, and getting it free with a motherboard combo purchase was a nice touch but if I had a choice now, I would not buy this stick.

I got it back in November along with a motherboard and in the past two weeks it has started to fail. I mainly used it to transfer small files, but I have to hold it in the slot a certain way for it to work now on my PS3 and PC. If I let go it "comes out of the slot" for lack of better words. A coworker of mine has had one of these and he said his started to do the same thing. I'm guessing it's because the USB part of the stick is loose and you can wiggle it around a little bit.

Bottom line is I would look for a different stick to buy if you were looking for one.

5 out of 5 eggsBest drives on the market

Pros: - good drives
- kingston created the best design for flash drives, very easy to flip over the cover, it keeps the base from getting damaged, solid construction, good transfer speeds, HAVEN'T HAD ANY ISSUES WITH THEM AND BOUGHT OVER 10.

Cons: NONE

Other Thoughts: Newegg customer service has been horrible for the past 2 years. It took me 4 months of constantly calling back supervisors who never return calls or take care of issues to get my problems resolved, and they still aren't after all this time and a settlement. I have not received what was promised, and my issue was resolved after almost a half a year. It has become a hassle getting through, every call takes a half hour to get through, then no ONE WANTS TO HELP OUT IT'S RIDICULOUS.

2 out of 5 eggsVery Slow Transfer Rates

Pros: It works.

Cons: Very slow transfer rates. Only 2 to 3 GB per second write speeds. Too slow compared to my other USBs. I'm disapointed!

1 out of 5 eggsDon't bother

Pros: Looks nice

Cons: Slow, slow, slow
Does not have indicating light

Other Thoughts: Don't bother buying this one. Writes at 3 MB/s. I purchased a Lexar USB 3.0 for the SAME PRICE and capacity at Staples and writes at 19 MB/s! (My computer does not have USB 3.0 so this is not the reason why it is faster).

4 out of 5 eggsVery satisfactory

Pros: works, small form factor, no cap to lose

Cons: The flip side of "no cap to lose" is that the actual connector is not as well protected as it would be with a conventional cap.) Would also have appreciated a loop to hook on a lanyard. (Some lanyards have a small-enough loop that will connect up with this drive, but others don't.)

1 out of 5 eggsSLOW JUNK

Pros: 16gb

Cons: Everything about this drive. I bought 2 of these when they were on sale for transferring files when working on computers for people. I don't have enough time to wait for this thing, as it is the slowest of the 10 flash drives I have on my desk. ENTRY LEVEL is not an excuse that Kingston should be spouting. ALL my drives are entry level.

Other Thoughts: Never again will I buy Kingston flash drives.

5 out of 5 eggsGood flash drive.

Pros: It hasn't failed. USB 2.0 compatibility.

Cons: Not the speediest.

Other Thoughts: USB 3.0 is not yet an industry-wide standard, making USB 2.0 still quite useful in spite of its comparatively low transfer speed. This makes drives such as this ideal for backup/file transfer or creating install USB or bootable operating systems. I have used only a few times so far, but it has worked just fine. If you plan to use ReadyBoost, get USB 3.0, as it makes a significant difference, whereas USB 2.0 does not.

2 out of 5 eggsSlow, Slow, Slow...

Pros: It has a strong metal swing out cover. It works. An egg for the cover and an egg because it works.

Cons: Slow as molasses. Slowest USB flash drive I have ever used. I made the mistake of buying two of these because they were on sale. When something has a great price and you buy two, in the end it doesn't matter when it turns out to be an inferior product. I keep seeing that when other people have said that they are slow, a Kingston rep leaves a note saying it's an "entry level product". So are my other two flash drives, both USB 2.0 and both 16GB. A friend also has two of different brands, but both USB 2.0, both 16GB and both "entry level". Compared to these other "entry level", inexpensive flash drives, this thing is a joke. You can format it, write zeroes and then format it, try it in a USB 3.0 port, but alas, still slower than anything else out there (what I have used and seen personally). I've purchased other Kingston products and never had such terrible quality. I'm sure Kinston will use the excuse I see over and over again on here. We live and we learn.

Oh, on the bright side, it works.

Other Thoughts: The lower than advertised capacity is nothing new. Layman's terms capacity and true capacity are two different things and are almost always different on these types of things and on hard drives. I expected this. Actual capacity is 14.5GB.
