5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Plugged right in and works great! Made a big difference in the speed on my computer.

Cons: Not a single one.

Other Thoughts: To make this memory run as advertised, you have to go into your BIOS and input the specified settings for it to run as DDR2-1066. If you don't it will run at DDR2-800.

5 out of 5 eggsGood RAM

Pros: Worked fine when pairing with my Crucial Ballastix tracer at 1066 with 5-5-5-15 on my P35 chipset all 4 dimms running at effective 1066 speed (2x2gb+2x1gb).

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: P5K Premium WiFi AP
2GB Crucial Ballastix
4GB Kingston HyperX
My motherboard should only be able to run at 800Mhz ram with all 4 dimms full but its running at 1066 so i feel special

5 out of 5 eggsMoney Well Spent

Pros: Great Memory I have used Kingston Memory for about 5yrs now. I have never had a bad stick or any kind of compatiblity issue's. It's the only Memory I use in my Builds.

Cons: None. Just make sure to set your Voltage and Timmings up properly in the bios.

Other Thoughts: Newegg and Kingston a sweet combo indeed. : )

4 out of 5 eggsGood Ram

Pros: I've never had a problem with Kingston. This ram runs at the specified speeds, once you manually change the timings. I also upped my voltage up to 2.25.

Cons: Having to manually adjust the timings.

Other Thoughts: I've run memtest for long periods of time, with no errors. Would have been 5 Eggs if not for having to change the timings.

5 out of 5 eggsGood quality ram

Pros: I installed this ram on a gigabyte board with a 8650 phenom.
Ran memtest for a 10 hour duration after build. no errors.
Tweaked bios to run at 1066 mhz.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: I have never had a problem with Kingston ram. Always works.
I will buy it again.

2 out of 5 eggsHaving Trouble

Pros: I have used Kingston in the past, and haven't had a problem till now.

Cons: My mobo won't read it at specs, sets it to 1.8v, 5-5-5-18 timings, and 800 for the speed. If I go in manually to set it, my computer seems to freeze up during windows or a game. Even when I leave it at the auto settings, during long game play it will freeze up. I have a Nvidia GTX 260 graphics card, so I do not thing it is that. I am not sure if the RAM is overheating or what is the problem yet. Still working on it. Suggest getting RAM with a better heatsink. It also seems other people have had this problem of their mobo's reading it wrong

Other Thoughts: Gigabyte GA-EP45-UD3r
Intel Core 2 Quad Q9300 Yorkfield 2.5GHz
ZALMAN 9500A 92mm 2 Ball CPU Cooler
MSI GeForce GTX 260 896MB
CORSAIR CMPSU-750TX 750W

4 out of 5 eggs1066 not working with Phenom II

Pros: Purchased two sets of these for two computers. Neither one had DOA. Fast timings and affordable.

Heat spreaders are low enough so that they fit under Xigmatek HDT1283 CPU heat sink.

Runs stable with 5-5-5-15 timings up to 500MHz (1000DDR) with only 2.0V.

Cons: Require high voltage (2.3V) for 1066 operation according to the sticker. I was not able to get them 100% stable on neither Phenom II 940 builds. (One has Gigabyte GA-MA790GP-DS4H MoBo and another ASUS M3A78-T MoBo.) The Gigabyte build was slightly better where 1066 setting was actually OK for normal use. (It only failed in Prime95 testing after several hours.) Best stability was achieved between 2.0-2.1V setting instead of 2.2-2.3V. I believe this is due to Phenom II memory controller and not a fault of the memory itself.

Other Thoughts: Next time I'm purchasing memory for Phenom II system I'll purchase RAM that require lower voltage. Too bad those are more expensive. (But you get what you pay for...)

5 out of 5 eggsGreat

Pros: This ram is Great. replaced my 2gig "1stick" Corsair XMS with this and the performance in XP64bit was incredible

Paired with
AMD Athlon 64X2 Dual Core 5400+ Black Edition "Upgrading to Phenom II"
Asus M3A78-EM
Windows XP 64b "XP all the way" "sorry Vista fanboys"
Nvidia 8500GS "Next in line for an upgrade"

This stuff is great for the cash. Need to set the Freq at 533mhz to get it to run 1066 though.

Cons: ... they used DHL .. took forever to get here. but other than that Newegg still ROCKS

Other Thoughts: its ram .. clock it to 533mhz and you've got 1066 that's all you need to know. ;)

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent so far

Pros: Works as advertised! Good bang for the buck! Slight voltage bump from the MB, set timings to 5-5-5-15, and ran her on up to 1066 with no problems whatsoever. Haven't tried to overclock beyond 1066 yet, but I have no doubt it would do just that.

What an improvement over my former ram (Crucial Ballistix garbage). I fell into that trap on my last build as the 1066 Ram speeds were just coming out and there weren't many options. Had 3 sticks fail......

Cons: Not the Rams fault, but I went with the free "egg saver" shipping (3-7 days) because I was so used to Newegg's awesome 3-day free shipping option. Ordered on a Saturday, but didn't receive until the following Tuesday (10 total days). Not a biggie, but I will pay the extra couple bucks next time to get in a few days.

Other Thoughts: Don't hesitate, buy it!
