5 out of 5 eggsStock fan is fine

Pros: I don't know what people are complaining about with the stock fan. It does the job just fine. The 4 corner posts that mount to the motherboard -are- made out of cheap plastic I must admit, but the heat sink and fan itself are fine, and my system idles at 30 degrees C at 3.4 GHz right out of the box in the Rosewill Challenger U3 case which has great air flow. I haven't played around with the over clocking yet, but I will do that this weekend and write another review. I should mention that in addition to the thermal paste included on the stock fan, I added a small drop of Arctic Silver myself before affixing to the CPU.

Cons: The Corsair H90 does NOT work with this socket/CPU. I purchased this by mistake and will be returning it. I just wanted to let anyone know who might be thinking they can make this work because their case has a 140mm fan on top that it does not work. The connector is just too big for the socket since the LGA 1150 CPU is so small compared to other Intel sockets like the LGA2011. Not taking off an egg because that was my fault. That's why I ended up using the stock fan which seems fine so far. Played Diablo III and the stock fan kept the processor cool without issue.

Other Thoughts: I almost went with an AMD. I'm glad I stayed with Intel.

5 out of 5 eggsAmazing for about anything.

Pros: The processor is extremely fast and will satisfy just about anyone. The price per performance is unbeatable. Oh, and it's unlocked for overclocking possibilities.

Cons: Well, it's not hyper threaded like the i7-4770k. It seems to run a little warm, but mine is in a mini itx build which may be the cause, probably due to the confinement of the case and I'm just using the stock cooler.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Extremely fast and powerful, in comparison to an AMD FX 4100, it far surpasses overall performance. Definitely worth the money. I was able to gain a solid 15-20fps in the games I play while at max settings. In World of Warcraft I saw the biggest jump in fps.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: This is my first Intel product, I have always used AMD and i will never go back to AMD processors after this.

My build:
Asus Maximus Hero VI
Intel Core i5 4670k
EVGA GTX 660ti SC 3GB
G. Skills Sniper 8GB
WD Velociraptor 500GB HDD
Corsair 128GB SSD
Corsair TX650 PSU

5 out of 5 eggs4.4Ghz

Pros: New LGA 1150

No pins to bend/deal with

3.4Ghz stock

Unlocked multiplier for manual overclocking

i5

Cons: Not Hyper Threaded (4770k is)

i5

Lots of complaints about the temps on this processor line being too high. I used a corsair H105 and have minor spiked temp issues @ 4.4Ghz water cooled.

Hit or miss overclock potential

Horrible lid thermal paste application Haswell wide.

Other Thoughts: My build:

Asus Maximus VI Hero
4670k
GTX 770
Gskill DDR3 1600Mhz 8Gb
Corsair Air 540
Corsair H105
NZXT RGB LED

The unicorn of Haswell processors can overclock up to ~4.9-5Ghz+ (about 5-10% of all 4670k's made), 80% are going to fall within the 4.2-4.6Ghz range, and ~5-10% are going to fall between 3.8-4.2Ghz.

That's the research I did, but i'm well aware the internet lies sometimes. Especially reddit.

5 out of 5 eggsPowerful CPU

Pros: Super fast CPU at a great price

Cons: I do not like the stock cooler. It feels cheap and it's kind of awkward to install, but I haven't had any issues at all with it on stock settings.

Other Thoughts: This CPU is impressive. I haven't overclocked it yet because I don't foresee it being a bottleneck in my system for a long time. I highly recommend it.

5 out of 5 eggsAmazing CPU!

Pros: This new CPU has been amazing! Tested out on a couple older games that are more CPU heavy and it ran prefect. CPU is OC to 4.

Cons: Nothing to report

5 out of 5 eggsBeasty

Pros: - Extremely fast, allows for quick everyday computing, and also helps reach very high FPS in cpu-tilted games.

- Overclocking helps a lot, I was not expecting much when I had overclocked the cpu from 3.8 to 4.2 -- but wow. In games like minecraft, my average fps of 50's instantly got up to the 100's(intergrated graphics). With my dedicated gpu I got up from my average 120 up to 250.

- Very cheap

Cons: Cons? Absolutely none.

Other Thoughts: If you are going for gaming this is more than enough.

5 out of 5 eggsCajun's Review of Intel Core i5-4670k

Pros: I was looking to replace my Intel Core 2 Quad Q9650 and after reviewing several AMD & Intel CPUs I went with the i5-4670k. This CPU is fantastic!!! It can handle anything I throw at it which is mainly games right now. In overall performance I noticed a dramatic increase in performance over my older CPU. I can only imagine what the i7-4770 would be like. The price is only $240 and my old CPU was around $350. I'm glad Intel has these quality "middle ground" CPUs and there is nothing to complain about.

Cons: none so far except for the stock CPU cooler which I replaced on purchase with a new one

Other Thoughts: My older computer was a Intel Core 2 Quad Q9650 @ 3.0 GHz, with 8 GB of DDR2 RAM, and my new setup with the Intel i5-4670k &8 GB of DDR3 RAM pretty much blows it out of the water. My older system is still works well but it was time to upgrade to a whole new system. Only thing I brought over from the older system was the video card ( EVGA GTX 660 ti )
