5 out of 5 eggsFAST. QUIET. RELIABLE. Nice Graphics Included.

Pros: - Included graphics.
- FAST.

Cons: - No hyper threading.

Other Thoughts: I would recommend this processor for anyone on a budget. This processor comes with graphics. This should be suitable for most "work computers" (so to speak). Don't buy a graphics card and instead put your money towards this processor. Graphics included. I used this on a "budget PC".

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Chip for home and business

Pros: Very fast.
Great performance to power ratio.
Multitasking is a breeze.
4 Physical cores as opposed to 2 physical and 2 logical.
Handles Games like a breeze with the right video card.

Cons: Poor integrated Graphics.

Other Thoughts: Definitely was the choice back in the day. Even uses less power than today's i5s, but the IGPU takes a hit because of it. Have one in circulation as a server and it is still running. If you can snag a used one either in a refurbished workstation or stand alone, I would recommend grabbing it.

5 out of 5 eggscouldn't be happier!

Pros: I bought this when I built my very first computer on a budget, and I couldn't have been happier. That was 3 years ago now and I'm only now just building a new rig. It has handled everything I've thrown at it! For the price I couldn't have made a better decision!

Cons: The cables for the fan it came with were very annoying to make them not rub the fan itself, but that's hardly a con and not worth an egg.

Other Thoughts: For the past three years I've had the original fan cooling my cpu, it lasted through two very intense years of gaming and I have no idea how nothing bad happened.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks well

Pros: Speedy & Reliable

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I might have bought a different model if I knew then what I know now. CAD software is typically single-threaded (except for rendering), but benefits without overclocking. I also have a graphics card now, so I don't need on-chip graphics. So a 'K' model would have been better for me, along with a o'clocker motherboard.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent

Pros: Quick, cool, and quiet! Great card.

Cons: See other.

Other Thoughts: The wires for the stock fan are awkwardly clipped to the heat sink. Took me several tries to finally get them to not rub.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Got this thing running with a CM Hyper 212 Evo cooler, and max temps on Prime95 running for over 13hours hit 65 degrees C. Currently overclocked to 4.1ghz. Adjusted my BCLK to achieve that. So far, runs very well.

Cons: Non-K, but already knew that going in.

Other Thoughts: Mated to an ASRock Z77 Extreme4. over 13hours on Prime95 stable at 4.1GHZ on a single core and 3.9GHZ on all 4 cores.

5 out of 5 eggsIntel Core i5-3470 Ivy Bridge

Pros: Great CPU. I mean all the positive reviews here speak for themselves. This CPU is fast and is very stable and I was able to OC mine to 4.0 on Core 0 and 3.8 on 1, 2 & 3. Make sure if you OC and OC right get a water cooler. This thing will bake itself if used with just a simple fan. The included cooling fan is not good if you are gonna game and OC.

Yes Intel is much more expensive than AMD but there is a reason that's he case. I use to always use AMD. I learned from experience and others that Intel is just the way to go PERIOD. Dish out the extra bucks and get INTEL. Trust me. I'm not bashing AMD they are good but not as good as Intel.

Cons: NOPE! NONE!

Other Thoughts: You're gonna OC. PLEASE WATER COOL!!!!! This CPU is there for you to get the job done. You need to support your CPU in return. :)

5 out of 5 eggsA Lot Of Bang For the Buck

Pros: Fast, cool and quiet with aftermarket cooler. The onboard video is more than adequate. I paired it with an Asus P8Z77-V-LK and I am very happy.

Cons: The intel heatsink is cheesy. Buy an aftermarket. I used a Zalman CNPS9500.
