The powerful processor delivers serious performance on the ultra-demanding games of today and tomorrow. The innovative 45nm quad-core technology optimizes thermal performance for reduced power consumption and noise.
  • newegg Intel Advanced Smart Cache Intel Advanced Smart Cache Technology dynamically allocates the shared L2 cache to each processor core based on workload. This efficient, multi-core-optimized implementation increases the probability that each core can access data from fast L2 cache, resulting in significantly reduced latency for frequently used data and improved performance.
  • newegg Intel Turbo Boost technology Intel Turbo Boost technology maximizes speed for demanding applications, dynamically accelerating performance to match your workload-more performance when you need it the most.
  • newegg Enhanced Intel SpeedStep Technology (EIST) EIST allows the system to dynamically adjust processor voltage and core frequency to decrease average power consumption and average heat production. Combined with existing power saving features, EIST may provide an excellent balance between providing power when you need it and conserving power when you don’t.
  • newegg Execute Disable Bit (EDB) Intel's Execute Disable Bit function can prevent certain classes of malicious "buffer overflow" attacks when combined with a supporting operating system. Execute Disable Bit allows the processor to classify areas in memory where application code can execute and where it cannot. When a malicious worm attempts to insert code in the buffer, the processor disables code execution, preventing damage or worm propagation.
  • newegg Intel Virtualization Technology (Intel VT) With Intel VT, one hardware platform functions as multiple "virtual" platforms. For business, Intel VT offers improved manageability, limiting downtime and maintaining worker productivity by isolating computing activities into separate partitions. In the home, Intel VT allows creating unique user environments for multiple family members using the same platform simultaneously.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome CPU

Pros: I bought a prebuilt made by Ibuypower with the I5-750 in 2010 and have since replaced the stock cooler, ram, and GPU. I replaced the stock cooler with a large and in charge Noctua air cooler. I replaced the stock 4 GB of ram with 8 GB 1600 Mhz Gskill Ripjaws. I run this CPU @ 3485.7ghz with a multiplier of 21 and BCLK of 166Mhz. I usually never see CPU temps above 65C in my real world gaming usage. My mobo is Gigabyte P55M-UD2 and my GPU is EVGA GeForce GTX 660 Ti SC 2GB. I find I am still able to run most games with settings maxed @1920x1080p here in 2015. I am able to play any game with great satisfaction in terms of high settings and fps and my 5 year old I5-750 and my 2 year old GPU are still delivering outstanding results. At this time I own over 800 games on Steam and many more beyond that. Intel made a real nice CPU with the I5-750. The 1st generation core I5 and its 45nm Lynnfield Nehalem micro-architecture have delivered excellent performance and vale over time and I am extremely satisfied with this purchase.

Cons: CPU can sometimes make a high pitch squealing noise if it is OC too high or if alt tabbing back and forth between a game and steam the noise can be noticed.

Other Thoughts: I5-750 is an awesome CPU.

5 out of 5 eggsi5 750

Pros: Was used since 2009 and still keeps up with current GPU's, This CPU is still better than anything AMD has to offer.

Cons: Zero

Other Thoughts: I loved this CPU the performance is still decent enough to not bottleneck current high end GPU's, But I replaced it with a i5 3470 because finally after 5 years it is starting to reach it's limits. But honestly anyone still using a i5 750 could get a couple of more years out of it.

5 out of 5 eggsStill going...and going....

Pros: Bought this processor around Oct. 2010, and it's been going strong in my P55 SLI motherboard ever since. I've had it overclocked to 4.0 GHz on a Coolermaster Hyper 212+, but I usually leave it around 3.6 just to avoid the extra heat. I'm still playing new AAA games, 5 years after the processor was introduced.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: I've upgraded my video cards twice since I bought this CPU. 9800 GTX+ SLI to a GTX 570, and a GTX 680 two years ago.

5 out of 5 eggs4+ years

Pros: Great processor! I bought it from Newegg in February of 2012 for a new gaming build. Its been going strong ever since, and handles everything I throw at it with no problems. I have no reason to upgrade it yet.

Cons: None.

5 out of 5 eggsPerforms Well

Pros: Upgraded recently from this chip to i5 1155 and am thinking I wasted money on upgrading too soon. I could have stayed with this chip for another year.

Cons: none really, performed well on max settings Guild Wars 2

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Customer Service from CoolerMaster

Pros: Cooled my old i5-750 very well, temps never went over 45 C with a slight overclock, which isn't bad considering the price.

Cons: The metal retainers to clip the fan to the heatsink are very difficult to get on, later versions have plastic clips which look like they are easier to deal with.

Other Thoughts: I bought this in January of 2010 for my i5-750. After about a year I decided I wanted a larger heatsink, so I bought a Xigmatek. I eventually got rid of that build and went with a laptop for a while, but the urge to game came back to me. I recently bought an i5-3450 with a new build, and upon finding this heatsink in a box, found that I had lost the metal retaining clips. I went on Cooler Master's website, and after proving ownership with a copy of my newegg invoice, they sent me a notice today that my new retainer clips are in the mail. I hope I get the new plastic ones, but no matter what, I am very happy with their willingness to send me new clips despite the fact that losing them was completely my fault, and for free! Thanks, Cooler Master.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat CPU

Pros: Very good CPU, OC to 3.2 GHZ without problems, was going to go to 3.8 but that I broke part of my Heatsink so it doesn't seat as well.

Cons: None at all

5 out of 5 eggsUpdate

Pros: This processor tolerates overclocking very well. I have mine running at 3.497 gHz with the stock cooler. It took 5 cycles of IntelBurn Test like a champ. At load it stays around 70C and idles at 42C.
Ideal for gaming since most games don't take advantage of the i7.

Cons: Absolutely nothing.

Other Thoughts: I have had this CPU for a year and half, it is still going strong, have had zero issues.
