3 out of 5 eggsGreat Product- Just fasley advertised.

Pros: Great Processor, Fast, Cool at 32C under load (I have Liquid cooling)

Cons: Again AMD tries to pass of there 4 core processor as a 8 core processor, just because a core has 2 integrated control modules does not make that a Dual core module. This is still a 4 Physical Core Processor with 8 Scheduled Managers. Stop lying. - 2 egg

Other Thoughts: I dislike when a company tries to pretend it's a 8 core processor when it is not, Do they realize that they would be liable for a class action lawsuit for false advertisement?

5 out of 5 eggsImpressed

Pros: Blazing fast.

Cons: Liquid cooling is a must to prevent thermal margin.

Other Thoughts: I definitely recommend it. If you don't go liquid cooling why are you getting this beast anyways?

5 out of 5 eggsBest CPU I've personally owned so far

Pros: I actually got this as part of a pre-built system I got from newegg back in 2013 .. the system came with an excellent case with lights, the FX8350 processor, 16gb of DDR3 memory and a 1 terabyte drive for $890... Since then I've only ever upgraded the video card and the power supply which was necessary because of the video card :)

The system is 3 years old but still runs all of the latest games like a champ, I also do a lot of video editing/3d rendering and it's faster than our render farm at work ( 3 systems networked together to pool resources )

I haven't experienced heat issues myself but I'm not sure if this computer came with the stock fan or if it's a 3rd party fan.. I know it's variable speed so when I get into an intensive game I can hear the fan rev up.. but I've never had it get out of control.

Cons: Aside from the fan sounding like a jet engine when the system gets warm while gaming, I have no complaints whatsoever..

Other Thoughts: I usually don't buy pre-built computers but this is hands down the best system I've had that I didn't build myself.. It's lightning fast and still running strong after 3 years

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Performance

Pros: This is my first time getting an AMD CPU. I was going to get an Intel i7, but the price was really steep, obviously. One of my co-workers suggested AMD and he swore by it. So, I finally decided to research. This one performed just about the same as the i7, but for half the cost, so I decided to make the purchase. I am extremely pleased with my processor and know that in the future I will come back to AMD for processors.

Cons: -Nothing. I have so many applications and tabs open in my web browsers all the time and haven't experienced any performance issues from the CPU at all!

1 out of 5 eggsbuy an intel

Pros: it gets by

Cons: slow in CPU focused games, runs ridiculously hot, you need to buy an aftermarket cooler, slower than an intel i3 skylake. Just buy a new i5 for $200 and be happy.

3 out of 5 eggsGood, to an extent.

Pros: Worked very well and let me run my game on max settings except when.....

Cons: If I played any MMORPG's if there were large groups my frames would drop to 9-10 frames. I already tried a different processor and it does not do this on Intel processors. :/
Tried overclocking it to the minimum and my computer would crash. It wasn't getting hot or anything, it would just crash. :/

Other Thoughts: Decided to go with an Intel i7 for the first time ever.

4 out of 5 eggsExcellent CPU

Pros: 1. Runs fast and great for overclocking.

Cons: 1. One thing that caused me to give this 4 eggs is how hot it runs. I would make sure to go with a water cooler or some after market fan. With water cooler and no load it sets at about 40C without water cooler and provider cooler it would set at about 49C

Other Thoughts: Build:
AMD FX-8350
ASUS ROG Crosshair V Formula-Z
EVGA Geforce GTX 980ti
32 GB G.Skill TridentX (2400)
LEPA AquaChanger 240
Thermaltake Core V51
Thermaltake Toughpower Grand 850w

4 out of 5 eggsGreat CPU!

Pros: It worked straight out of the box. Good fast processor.

Cons: None of the processor itself, but the CPU fan and paste don't work as I thought. The CPU runs over 100 degrees F., which is kind of a problem. The processor hasn't overheated and fried, but I feel like it will. Get a separate water cooler.

Other Thoughts: Make sure you get a water cooler for your CPU.

2 out of 5 eggsPLEASE GOD DON'T SUPPORT AMD'S BAD HABITS.

Pros: Good for everything BUT gaming.

Cons: Unstable, bad power consumption for its performance. Overclocking can't really go passed 4.6ghz without a serious mobo.

Other Thoughts: LISTEN, don't get this CPU for gaming, get the FX-4300, it's a quad core 3.8Ghz, but its single thread performance is much better than this. MORE CORES IS NOT ALWAYS BETTER, particularly when gaming because almost no games are optimized for multicore CPUs. Every game I tried to play only used one core on this thing, and it bottlenecked my R9 390 so hard, I was getting 25fps average in ESO. Again, don't get this if you're going to use your computer primarily for gaming, look for high single thread performance.
