5 out of 5 eggsGREAT CPU!

Pros: Overclocks fine.

Cons: NONE

Other Thoughts: I have been using this cpu for a while now. It is in the pc I am using to wright this review. Someday I may upgrade to something bigger. For now I just don't need to.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Great processor, I don't really know what all to say since some people want to read about the tech pros to this and others just want some general info. All I can really say without getting into the tech side of things is that this processor will run anything you want to very well.

Cons: The stock fan sucks, it works, but if you live any where warm like me (Phoenix, Arizona) then your idle temps will be high as mine were sitting around 57 Celsius.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Fast and reliable performance. Overclocks easy, runs cool, and lets my 7970 do it's thing. All around, the best desktop CPU that AMD has ever released.

Cons: It's been discontinued and AMD hasn't made anything better to replace it yet.

Other Thoughts: It may be old and even with a beastly overclock can't compete with modern Intel processors in synthetic benchmarks, but it lets me play any game at max settings with 60+ fps and that's all that matters.

5 out of 5 eggsWOW!

Pros: This processor is simply extraordinary. My rig boots up in a matter of seconds. These 6 cores haul through any game or program (with the help of my graphics card of course). I strongly recommend this to anyone who wants a affordable processor that can run very fast. An Intel processor at this speed will cost you 700+USD. AMD for the win.

Cons: None at all.

Other Thoughts: Not really a con but I wish this came with a better fan..Oh well :)

5 out of 5 eggs6 cores Awesome!

Pros: The processor is amazingly fast! and also you cannot beat the price of this thing. Does great will all games that i have tried on my pc and also running the adobe suite is absolutely no problem.

Cons: no cons this was a big upgrade for me because before i was running a single core x64 amd processor.

5 out of 5 eggsIts good for a budget build

Pros: Overclocks well. But not very stable. Temperature are ok. Stock fan and heat sink are doable if you are on a budget. Fan can get loud.

Cons: Sometimes unstable in OC. But may vary from Mobo or chipset selections. Fan can get very loud if OC and hot.

Other Thoughts: I had this for 2 months. Messed with it a lot. Honestly I returned it and got an i5 2500k. Made huge difference in gaming. But if you are on a budget or like to do a lot of heavy muti-tasked applications then this puppy is good enough. Not worth to take eggs off when comparing to better CPUs. Go for it if you are on a budget.

5 out of 5 eggsIT'S BACK

Pros: What can i say it's FAST this is a TRUE 6 Core, not like the 8 it's 4 cores with 4 threads. Not the same as this. Why there so cheap and this cost.I like this so much i put it in a new M.B. waiting for W-8 for this.I have a 2500k and I-7.

Cons: NONE.. i wish the 8 cores were TRUE CORES like this 2.8 it cost a lot of money to have 8 real cores in a chip there is no way AND would be able to sell the chip as cheap as they are selling now.

Other Thoughts: AMD and Intel are both holding back for awhile till they clear their stock. Then late next year DDR4 will be out at 3200-3800 ram speed. With all new Boards with W-8 you aint seen nothing YET.

5 out of 5 eggsOne of the last great AMDs

Pros: I bought this CPU almost the day it was released from Newegg. I bought a better fan and have been running it at 3.6GHz the entire time I've owned it. My CPU has almost never been the bottleneck, it's always been the HDD/SSD, video card, or something else. (I edit video.) Almost every program I use is 64-bit and there are a few times I've seen all six cores maxed out. Ran a WPI score of 7.6 in Win 7 Pro today-- which compelled me to come rate this processor.

Cons: Nothing yet. *knock on wood*

5 out of 5 eggsStill strong 2 years on!!

Pros: Still strong 2 years on
Fast
Stable
Cool
RELIABLE!!!
6 strong cores!!

Cons: >>> return None

Other Thoughts: I have had this processor for 2 or so years....got it back in the days when the Phenoms ruled. See.. I never used it's stock fan. I used a TX3 from Cooler Master and Arctic Silver 5 from day one. This processor has been a marvel. Being able to record a TV show, while working with Adobe photoshop or compiling programs at the same time...this processor does it all without question. I don't think I will ever need an upgrade. It chews through all my games, runs really cool for a 6 core....idles at 34-37C and full throttle never goes above 57C...thanks to that quiet Cooler Master TX3. It runs at 3.2 Ghz and that is fast enough for what I use it for. I will not be surprised if I still have this processor a couple or more years from now....i believe I will and for as long as it works... many thanks to the light and stable Windows 7 and Gigabyte for the excellent motherboard which was been running strong for 2 years, Western Digital for their Black Caviar 640Gb drive...and Newegg!!!
