Pros: This thing still runs like a champ after 3 years and water cooled. Amd keeps coming out with new stuff and even though newer benchmarks seem impressive, the devs aren't making things harder on cpu's for gaming.
There's still a ton of life left in the chip. It's been steadily pegged at 4.0 overclocked since it went into the pc.

I have a corsair 100i attach to it.

Pros: Just a good processor.

Cons: This is a well known so I won't dock an egg - but the stock cooling equipment is junk. This thing just runs hot.

Other Thoughts: Going on 5 years with this fella and it's still performing well. I'm only just now starting to hit bottlenecks on games. Got it paired with a GTX 970 SSC, 16 gigs of fairly fast DDR3, a well designed case, and an aftermarket cooler. Kicking around the idea of swapping on the proc and mobo for an Intel variant, but honestly...this thing does the job still so...maybe I'll just sit tight?

Pros: Going on 4 years, no issues. Still running strong and rarely ever maxes out, even while streaming video games and video editing.

Pros: I have had this since fall of 2011 and it's still running like a champ. Though I haven't overclocked it until today, I finally took the plunge after I added a cooler master hyper 212 evo. I'm quite happy to report it overclocked easily and with the new cooler it's running at 45 c while running prime 95. I'm being a little timid currently and only pushing it to 3.5 Ghz with the air cooling, but it seems to be running great! Glad I bought the black edition. :) Hurray for AMD!

Cons: I wish I could have a guarantee that the next processor I buy will be as awesome as this one.

Other Thoughts: Sorry for those who didn't buy this chip when it was available, especially sine it was so affordable in comparison to other cpu's of the day.

Pros: Pretty straight forward overclocking and runs well with no overclocking as well. Biggest thing, I've had this computer build for ever 4 years now, and have never had any issue with this cpu. Still runs everything I can throw at it with easy. Paired with WD raptor, and ASUS Crosshair IV Formula. Granted most of the items I have in this build are outdated big time and no longer available. Just wanted to post that is this computer is going strong after so many years. AMD is worth the $ savings over Intel in my opinion

Pros: The biggest pro is that I'm still using it after 3 years, and really don't have a good reason not too. One of the best chips ever constructed by any company. Easily reaches 3.7 ghz with the auto overclock. Rock solid performance at a very competitive price.

Cons: I only bought one. It does run a little hot, but with standard closed loop water cooler, it runs cool. My temps stay in the 30's, and never push the chips limits, even under load. It does take some time and knowledge to get a stable overclock over 4 ghz, but it's very possible.

Other Thoughts: This is a chip I'm glad I spent the money on. If it could talk it would tell a thousand tales from a thousand games. It has done everything I've asked of it, even today, at a reasonable price. When I bought this chip, I could have never imagined what a winner it would turn out to be.

Pros: I bought this chip in the summer of 2011 for the dual purpose of rendering and gaming, and it has excelled at both!

Only now at the end of 2014 am I even considering replacing it for a small speed upgrade to a 4.0GHz processor

Pros: Runs nice and fast, can easily overclock to a stable 3.7GHz turbo.

Other Thoughts: I use WorldComunityGrid a cluster computing program that helps with curing cancer, AIDS research, malaria and many other helpful things. The ability for your rig to run 6 process at over 3.5GHz and knock them out in a timely fashion is AMAZING.
