5 out of 5 eggsLike the energizer bunny

Pros: Had my system built over 3 years ago for gaming. This processor has outlasted everything else. Upgraded the hard drive to a 2 TB Black edition WD. Upgraded the graphics to a 660 TI, maxed out my RAM to 16GB. Just purchased a new 990 Gigabyte motherboard and it has all been built to match this same Beast of a processor. Still running like a champ.

Cons: Only con...........New Egg stopped selling it.

5 out of 5 eggsstill going strong

Pros: Got this baby in 2010, a beast then still a beast. OC to 3.9 with corsair H110 cooler. With my R9 270x 4gig video card and 16 gig memory runs every game on high. Titan Fall included.

Cons: none

5 out of 5 eggs3 years and still going

Pros: It runs like a champ. Never had a problem with it. My machine has never blue screened, and has only lock up maybe twice. I use it everyday.

Cons: No real con's.

4 out of 5 eggsWorks Well

Pros: it works well and has worked well for 3 years.

Cons: I guess the only con is that it isn't SPECTACULAR but it was priced very well and does gaming just fine.

Other Thoughts: decent, doesn't do anything incredibly well and doesn't do anything below average. 3 years of life and no problems.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat CPU

Pros: I've had this processor for 5 years now and it's still running strong. If it were not for my graphics card, my computer would still be great with this cpu. I'm still rocking the GTX 260 :).

Cons: Runs hot with stock fan, but to be expected.

Other Thoughts: Like I seen in a different review, I wish it could upgrade itself.

5 out of 5 eggsOver 3 years and STILL kickin

Pros: Inexpensive, way more than enough for the average user, can handle pretty much any game out there combined with something like an HD7970. Obviously there are some titles that it wont play at max settings, but it WILL play them in an enjoyable framerate *cough*Crysis*cough*. Bioshock Infinite ran beautifully, as did any CoD game, Dead Space franchise, DIshonored. It's overclockable (running 3.7 GHz stable with temps in the high 20s/low 30s under Corsair H100 but you can definitely go higher if you wish), six cores, it's AMD, over 3 years old and it is STILL running like a champ. Sure, it get's beat in the benchmarks by today's processors, but benchmarks are as unnecessary as a measuring contest of a certain male body part. It plays all games and runs programs in a very reliable manner with 0 CPU related system crashes. What more do you want? Definitely a great value. I know it's discontinued on newegg, but if you can get one, it's PERFECT for a budget build even today. AMD/Intel fanboys, it doesn't matter. It's a great product with great value. Would buy it all over again.

Cons: Does not automatically evolve and upgrade itself as the years go by like a Pokemon, discontinued on newegg, can't beat Intel's current top consumer desktop processor (duh, it's old)

Other Thoughts: I think I've said it all. It's 'old' but still works great. I'm not a hardcore overclocker/system building by any means. My specs are a little dated, but I'm waiting on the HD9000 series cards to come out (SOON!) before I do any more upgrades. I might give Intel a try since AMD has supposedly bowed out of the enthusiast desktop CPU market and focusing on mobile processing and graphics. We'll see how things go in the next few months.
