5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: I've known many of my friends with the same processor, I know the capabilities of it and I would say they are awesome, no need to drop tons of cash on an i5 or i7, this processor keeps up with the best of them

Cons: none

5 out of 5 eggsGreat for the price

Pros: Very fast and efficient. Keep's up with me just fine.

Cons: 125W cpu. Make sure your board supports it.

Other Thoughts: This CPU was given to me along with a nice asus MB. I am running 8 gigs of ram and a 240gig SSD and it boot's up my computer faster then my monitor turn's on and show's the screen.

5 out of 5 eggsStill Going Strong

Pros: Bought this back in January of 2010 and still using it to this day. Finally getting around to buying a new computer, but it's still very capable of running most games at at least medium quality when paired with a decent gpu.

Cons: Runs hot, stock cooler is loud and not super efficient. Uses lots of power, especially compared to modern architectures. And it obviously doesn't stand up to a modern processor.

5 out of 5 eggssimple and honest my fav Amd cpu

Pros: Games great, cheap and fast

Cons: runs warm had to buy an aftermarket cpu to keep it at good temps

Other Thoughts: well i bought a oem without a fan because i knew i was going to need an aftermarket fan for it. Once installed and overclocked to 3.8GHZ with my little trusty asus M5A78L-MLX plus motherboard i must say i like it better than my fx4100 or my fx6300 , its a true quad core , its raw , its fast , (this is coming from a intel fan ( i use more intels than amds) i must say for under 100 dollars this thing is well worth its price i paired it with a used ati radeon 5750 graphics card and i'm amazed at how good that card plays games in this system. The phenom made the 5750 shine way beyond its benchmark score wow a 50 dollar board 65 dollar used 5750(ddr5 version) and a 95 dollar (with aftermarket heatsink included in total price i payed for it) this is a true budget gamer and it games great , Ive played Dungeon siege III, Dragon age II, GW2, even Battlefield 3 (on high settings) and this cheap build plays them all great.. Hats off to amd for giving blue collar people options to enjoy a Computer without a big price tag attached to it.

5 out of 5 eggsexcellent value CPU

Pros: Very adequate CPU for everyday use.

This is my second purchase of this CPU in 4 years. I'd buy it again for the price.

I use mine in a machine that is a MythTV media center that does transcoding on an Ubuntu machine.

Cons: Cooling fan sounded like a garbage truck was driving arround my living room.

I replaced it with a Zalman CNPS7000v(aluminum) for $10. Very, very quite now.

I'd advise that you buy a quiet heat sink/fan if you buy CPU.

Not the fastest CPU, but is there really a reason why you need to spend $300 for a CPU???

5 out of 5 eggsPrice!

Pros: Fast
Cheap
Reliable
Can keep up with most modern games
One of the best budget gamer CPUs

Cons: Power consumption, but is expected from older architecture.
Heat, but the stock cooler sucks :P

Other Thoughts: Make sure to get a better CPU cooler. I have this chip at 3.9GHZ 55c max temp with 5 hours of prime 95.
Couldn't get to 4GHZ, but runs nice at this frequency.

3 out of 5 eggsPowerful, but temperature problem!

Pros: A very great and powerful processor! Helps a lot in all my games I play!

Cons: I tend to have a problem with the temperature with this cpu. Idk if it's normal or if maybe my product is defective. I tried playing TERA (an online MMORPG) on maxed graphic details. Runs the game at 40-60fps (I have a evga gtx 660ti 2gb gpu). The temperature I read from the speedfan program is that my cpu is hitting 60-70+ degrees celcius. It even sometimes get to the point where my monitor screen will just go black and the computer itself starts acting up. The fan starts spinning faster and louder and I feared the cpu was begining to fry up, so I quickly just cut the power switch off on the psu. Idk what seems to be the problem with it.

Other Thoughts: Hoping for a reply on how to handle this situation. :/
