Pros: Was able to unlock the 2 turned off cores to make it a quad core with 6MB of L3 cache using an ASUS M4A785-M motherboard. Stress tested with Prime95 for 24 hrs with no problems and been running 24/7 stable for 3 weeks.

Other Thoughts: I installed this in an ASRock A780GXH/128M motherboard. I was a bit worried it wouldn't work since it isn't listed on the ASRock site as a compatible processor, but it worked beautifully. It booted the first time. The BIOS recognized it as the correct processor, and it recognized both cores. As with a lot of AMD processors the fan and heatsink were a little challenging to install, but really it isn't anything that can't be handled in a couple minutes of fiddling around and lining things up. Nice processor, and a good value.

Pros: 2.2ghz processor, potentially turned into a quad core for an extremely powerful and affordable CPU, can't really ask for more. comes with cooling making it even more affordable. Runs cooler than most processors.

Cons: my board couldn't unlock it, and this is the fault of my ignorance when purchasing a board.

Other Thoughts: Make sure if you expect to go very far with your overclocking that you buy something better than stock cooling.

Also, make sure your mobo can unlock it. Even at 2.2ghz dual core, it's a good processor for the price, but I'd say there are probably better deals out there if you already know it's not going to unlock, but if you have the chance, I'd say go for it! Even if it doesn't unlock, it overclocks well and you still have a cheap and effective processor.

Pros: Smooth cpu - Awesome price

Pros: No issues installing or running it. Did not use the fan and the heat synch came with the cpu. Used the Sunbeam CR-CCTF 120 mm Core-Contact Freezer which keeps the temperature down to 30 deg cel.

Cons: None at all.

Other Thoughts: CPU is very well packaged and comes with the heat sink + fan.

Pros: I got this chip for an internet computer for my father. Was lucky enough to unlock the other two cores and L3 buffer. All cores pass stress tests and everything else I threw at it. Great chip for the price, I could OC it but there is no need for checking e-mail. I know it means very little, however, this budged computer, < $500 has nearly as good scores as my gaming rig; per Win 7.

Cons: Not a huge con, however, the CPU temps won't post properly. This is probably a fault of the bios in the mobo.

Pros: Has all the features I needed (basic upgrade of my old desktop) and the price was perfect ($25 rebate bring cost down to $30).

Cons: Motherboard arrived dead so contacted ECS support. They had me try a couple of things and advised to return the product to NewEgg.
I would have taken a replacement but it would not have arrived in time for filing the rebate.

Pros: unlocked to a quad core phenom fx 5000!!!!!!!!!

Cons: NONE!!!!

Other Thoughts: I used this with the GIGABYTE GA-MA785GM-US2H to unlock it to quad.Not guaranteed to work every time though but it's worth a try!!!!!
