5 out of 5 eggsGreat CPU, Great Price

Pros: $90 for a quad-core CPU. Intel can't beat that. Sure, it won't perform as well as an Intel quad-core CPU, but it does its job.
Don't let anyone tell you this CPU is no good for gaming. Anyone who does is an Intel fan-boy elitist. This CPU is great for gaming. The graphics card is the bottleneck, not the CPU.

Cons: CPU fan could be quieter.

Other Thoughts: Don't let anyone tell you this CPU is no good for gaming. Anyone who does is an Intel fan-boy elitist. This CPU is great for gaming. The graphics card is the bottleneck, not the CPU.
This is the very first computer I've ever built, and I built it for gaming. This CPU can haul, and it hauls well.

5 out of 5 eggsFirst quad for me

Pros: Quad core for decent price. I don't really do any overclocking, but I got a 7.1 in Windows 7 Ultimate 64 Bit.

Cons: No Cons

Other Thoughts: Read about unlocking L3 Cache. Mine can't do it. I have the latest revision. (I tried) I didn't even know there was no L3 to begin with until after I purchased it. LoL. Oh wells... No Need. Upgraded froma 6000+ Dual Core.

Pros: beauty of a card, was in a pinch for a big project when my old cpu died, this one has yet to let me down. OC's nicely, I've managed to bump it up to 3.7 stable without having to do any voltage adjustments. I run it at 3.5 though just in case

Cons: can get a little hot with major loads

5 out of 5 eggsBudget PC builder's dream!

Pros: Runs flawlessly on my BioStar TA790GXE mobo.

Cons: N/A

Other Thoughts: After purchasing this CPU I then started looking at benchmarks for it. It scored right amongst others that were 2 to 3x as much in price as this processor. Even those with lower scores were costing more than this one. HUGE bang for your buck on this one.

5 out of 5 eggsJust great.

Pros: Cheap. Acceptable heatsink.

Cons: Locked multiplier so overclocking is harder.

Other Thoughts: If you are a gamer deciding on a CPU look no further. Spending more money on a faster CPU will do almost nothing to improve frame rates. I'm using this with a radeon 5770 and I can max out almost any game @ 1920x1080 and I can assure you my video card is to blame.

5 out of 5 eggsTemperature Ratings

Pros: I have this cpu on a MA785GM-US2H in a Antec 300. Idle temps are around 30c but get up to 60c while encoding. I looked up the heat rating of this cpu and found it to be 71c Max according to AMD. I went from a single core athlon to this and my encoding speeds just dropped tremendously. it use to take 9-10 hours for a two hour movie, now it gets done in about 55mins!! i don't regret getting this cpu at all!

Cons: Gets a lil toasty when under full load.

Other Thoughts: Im considering overclocking this cpu in the bios. i heard it reaches 3.2 and stays stable.... might try this.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat HTPC Proc

Pros: - Excellent price / power ratio
- No problems running W7MC or encoding video

Cons: - stock cooling just doesn't cut it for a HTPC application, replaced the stock HSF with a Scythe Big Shuriken (no issues in blocking any RAM slots).

Other Thoughts: HTPC Specs

5 out of 5 eggsspec heads up

Pros: great chip

Cons: none yet

Other Thoughts: Something that was not listed in the specs sheet: this chip supports ddr3 only upto 1333. My sticks of ddr3 1600 not being used to full potential. C'est la vie, I suppose

5 out of 5 eggsGreat cpu

Pros: Just got this baby in the mail, plugged it into my biostar A0E773 board and fired up on the first try. Running it at stock speed (although tempted, and have heard, you can oc to 3+ ghz). However, bought it to play starcraft 2 and runs everything smoothly on all ultra settings (have a ati hd 5670 so lower end graphics). I'd recommend to anyone that wants to save money and get everything out of their system.

Cons: The box is deceptively small, not like it matters, just wanted to add a con ;)

Other Thoughts: Probably will overclock just for the sake of it...
