5 out of 5 eggsGoodbye to a trooper cpu

Pros: Just think if amd would have had this baby back in 2007 we would all be saying core2who?

Runs cool and quite.
Overclocks like a champ.
easter eggs with a core unlock.

Cons: Was released a year to late.

Other Thoughts: All earlier 2 core cpus look like dinosaurs by comparision. This runs year round in 90 degree heat outside and without a hiccup. And at room temp its 3.5g all day long
Sweet!

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Runs cools. Fast enough for everyday use, light to moderate gaming, HD video viewing. Good cheap for a HTPC.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: If want to game then pair this with a decent mid-range 3D Card under $150. Don't bother spending more that.

5 out of 5 eggsGood value

Pros: Zippy little dual core. Price/cost ratio is very good. i had it o.c.'d to 3.4 for about 6 months before i upgraded to a x4 965

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: Good buy if you arent doing anything intensive with your computer. And even if you are, o.c'd to 3.4 it was prettyfast

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Processor

Pros: -Works great and has been working great since i bought it over a year ago
-No compatibility issues
-As usual AMD provides a great quiet fan and heatsink
-Fan is not so large that it gets in the way, but big enough to keep it cool.

Cons: Doesn't do the laundry or dishes.

Other Thoughts: Buy a tube of thermal paste with any CPU to get the most out of it.

In response to the person before me, and to avoid confusion, you can't expect any CPU to single handedly run modern games, it needs to be paired with a good GPU. Starcraft 2 is a modern game and this CPU is outdated by a few years. I play Starcraft 2 at 80 fps on the highest settings with this CPU.

3 out of 5 eggsnah

Pros: This came in a pre-built computer i bought for 600 bucks last year, at first i thought it was good, it'll run a web browser with 10 windows open with ease. scores a 6.4 on windows experience @ 2.9 ghz stock.

Cons: photoshop cs4 and cs5 is a bit laggy, 1 Diablo II window runs with no problem at all, i get 100-200 fps with the built in gfx card, but i have to turn off ALL win7 visual themes or it lags. if you run multiple d2 windows (bots) ..don't bother. I bought sc2 when it first came out and tried to play it, i get a "your computer is lagging the game" message every 2 minutes.

Other Thoughts: Not a bad chip if all you want to do is run windows, some facebooking.. this is perfect for any stay-at-home mom who wants to play farmville, but for anything else, spend the extra couple bucks on a good cpu. i'm upgrading to a 1100T when it gets here next week. wish i would have done it sooner, but money was tight.
