5 out of 5 eggsWorks well, looks cheap

Pros: 1) Cheap - 5 bucks each when I bought them.
2) Study, strong, metal.
3) Easy to install, with many options of how you desire to install it.

Cons: 1) No instructions - it took about 10min to figure out how I needed to install it onto a 3.5" card reader I bought.
2) Screws could've used a tad bit longer length (1/16" maybe).

Other Thoughts: Firstly, I learned the hard way that apparently when mounting a 3.5" Card Reader into a 5.25" Drive Bay, the card reader sits about 3 inches inside of the actual case - I did not expect this. It makes it very hard to insert the cards without dropping them inside the computer case, while its fans are running.

This was designed (says so on the box) to fit HDDs and SSDs into 5.25" Drive Bays - so anything else automatically may fall short in your expectations.

It is lightweight and sturdy, but it could use small, rubber flaps on the edges to provide less friction and vibration when using an HDD in a 5.25" Drive Bay.

Overall, given the lovely price, it's not bad of a product. I just wish it could seat my Card Reader forward by 3 inches -.-

5 out of 5 eggsGreat with NXZT fan control

Pros: Works and strong metal. I installed this in a 5.25 bay that I am using for a nxzt fan controller sentry II and it is literally a perfect fit. you have to kind of figure out where to install bracket on hard drive, but once you do it fits awesomely , So now I get to use that empty space

Cons: only has 4 hard drive screws instead of 8, but 8 isn't needed I just like it to be bolted down tight. some screw hole do seem a little of but could be for 2.5 hard drive im not sure. but not a big deal

Other Thoughts: new egg rocks

5 out of 5 eggsThick Quality Metal - Like to good old days

Pros: - Quality construction - well cut

- Thick metal - not flimsy

- Although packaging or description do not say this, you can install up to 2 drives - I would not install 2 HDDs together on same bracket due to heat build-up but would put 2 SSDs together - if you can get the SATA power and data cables to fit.

- Screws provided - for two drives - are the smaller head screws that typically come with cheaper cases

- Well packaged.

Cons: - Not much of a con but the drilled holes for the 5.25 bay attachment did not properly line up for my mATX case. Only one of the holes lined up so had to use the slot cutout to attach rear side screws. Not a big deal as I was mounting an SSD - no vibration issues of an HDD.

Other Thoughts: Used it to mount a Samsung 840 Pro 256GB SSD. Had to use some pressure to push the bracket into 5.25 bay but once started pushing, it went in quickly.

Easy installation. Other reviewers complain about no instructions but there are two pictures on the back for reference purposes - might want to use a magnifying glass to see the pics as they are small. Once you see the pictures - rest is a "oh yea - I get it" factor. So no instructions are needed.

- Purchased mine from a local retailer (mCenter) a bit cheaper during their BYOPC sale cause I needed it right away to finish my build.

- If you plan to attach two drives in this bracket, you could offset the top from the bottom (i.e. pull top one more rear and push the lower drive more forward in the bracket) so data and power SATA cables could fit better.

- Overall a great buy even at $5.

5 out of 5 eggsExpect the expected

Pros: I got 20% off. That saved me a whole dollar! It worked just like I expected.

Cons: Can't find anything to complain about. I guess instructions would have been nice, but it's fairly self explanatory. It probably would have cost a dollar more with instructions.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: I don't see why so many people have had issues figuring out how these install. It's very easy.

Sturdy construction and proper screws included. Initially, after attaching them to a 3.5 in. HDD, it wouldn't go into the drive bay. However, they do fit. It's just a little snug getting them started. Once passed the initial squeeze, the HDD moves freely without scraping or being loose until locked into place.

They do exactly what they were meant to do; make a 3.5 in. drive suitable for use in a 5.25 in. bay.

Cons: Would be better if they were a bit longer. Say, half an inch. I'm almost reluctant to take an egg for that but some of the edges weren't completely cleaned of burrs. So, between the two things, minus an egg.

Other Thoughts: Gave them a quick scuff with some 250 grit sandpaper and sprayed them black to match the inside of my case. For the record, I painted them after I made sure they fit properly in the case.

I have a CoolerMaster HAF XB. The slight difficulty I talked about in the Pro's could easily be a quirk of my case but I don't own an actual 5.25 in. drive to find out.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks well, decent quality

Pros: Feels substantial, mounted a 3.5" drive in a 5.25" bay with no additional effort required.

Cons: It's somewhat difficult to screw the brackets into your 3.5" drive, but once it's done, it's done.

Surprisingly good little brackets

5 out of 5 eggs
The standard thing you would want to mount a 3 1/2" drive in a 5 1/4" bay.

Good thickness stampings. ...

5 out of 5 eggs
They do exactly what they're supposed to. Thick steel, decent screws included.
