5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Does it's job. Doesn't cost a lot.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: I guess instructions would be nice for those with no mechanical aptitude .

5 out of 5 eggsPerfect

Pros: Arrived on schedule and in excellent condition - Easy to install - all hardware included - solid construction - nice clean fit

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: The key is to attach the brackets to the hdd 1st, the side that has 4 pre-threaded screw holes attaches to the 5.25" bay sides.

5 out of 5 eggsQuality Product

Pros: Good fit, no wiggle room. Even if your case doesn't have spaces for screws on one side, this thing will still hold them acceptably in place due to being exact size of 5.25" bay.

Seemingly good metal quality. Not flimsy. Honestly think some desktop case metals would give way before these things did.

Screws included.

Cons: Just one, but people need to be aware of it:
Install can be challenging if you're unprepared.
You need to be sure you have a screwdriver small enough for the task because of the tight fit. This isn't exactly evident in the product description.

Other Thoughts: Make sure you have a narrow screwdriver, its got to reach down in there at a angle to screw the screws into the drive, which is a challenge for most of the large necked "all in one" screwdrivers out there.

2 out of 5 eggsso much less

Pros: Price, with rebate. Parts are shiny.
I have a hole in the front of my tower (now) that heat can be vented out.
I have room for one more 3.5" drive bay on my tower.
One of the stars was for 2 day packing & shipping from newegg!

Cons: Wrong sizes of screws, not enough screws, no faceplate.
Holes in brackets don't match drive.
It works, but at an absolute minimum. For sure I thought a nice faceplate would be supplied so you are not staring into the back of your tower, but I was wrong.

Other Thoughts: I don't know how a price of 11.99 is justified? This is by far a HUGE disappointment. How can you mess up an expansion slot? Buy this particular one and you will find out!
Even the drive is not secure, as it can pivot up and down and I cannot do a single thing to change it!

5 out of 5 eggsWorks well, looks cheap

Pros: 1) Cheap - 5 bucks each when I bought them.
2) Study, strong, metal.
3) Easy to install, with many options of how you desire to install it.

Cons: 1) No instructions - it took about 10min to figure out how I needed to install it onto a 3.5" card reader I bought.
2) Screws could've used a tad bit longer length (1/16" maybe).

Other Thoughts: Firstly, I learned the hard way that apparently when mounting a 3.5" Card Reader into a 5.25" Drive Bay, the card reader sits about 3 inches inside of the actual case - I did not expect this. It makes it very hard to insert the cards without dropping them inside the computer case, while its fans are running.

This was designed (says so on the box) to fit HDDs and SSDs into 5.25" Drive Bays - so anything else automatically may fall short in your expectations.

It is lightweight and sturdy, but it could use small, rubber flaps on the edges to provide less friction and vibration when using an HDD in a 5.25" Drive Bay.

Overall, given the lovely price, it's not bad of a product. I just wish it could seat my Card Reader forward by 3 inches -.-
