5 out of 5 eggsGreat Bang for the Buck

Pros: Powers an EVGA GTX 780 2gb just fine along with a Samsung 840 EVO 1TB, i7 3770k, LG M-Disc Blu-ray burner, external hard drive, and more. Quiet.

Cons: Not modular.

Other Thoughts: Highly recommend.

5 out of 5 eggsStill going since 2/09/12

Pros: Just a quick summary. Unit has been reliable for 2.5+ years, and still going strong. This unit has a 7yr warranty from date of purchase.

Cons: Non modular, and long cables. But, knew that at time of purchase.

Other Thoughts: I like how the fan in the power supply stays on for a little bit after powering down the pc. This was a steal for $149.00 at the time.

5 out of 5 eggsBest PSU owned to date

Pros: I have built a lot of systems and used a lot of PSU's over the course of the last 10-15 years. This is a brand I have always wanted to get but they usually have quite a high price premium to comparable other units. Unit is extremely quiet, feels solid and has plenty of connections. Lots of people on forums around the web say these PSUs are rated conservative and that this unit is actually closer to a Gold rated if not already so.

Cons: Non Modular but I did know this before buying. I have had modular for the last 3 or 4 build cycles and I assumed I could easily cope with the mass of cables. There is a lot of cables here... just be aware, I was able to hide most of what I didn't use behind my motherboard but if you don't have a good case that will let you do this they are going to have to go somewhere. Not worth taking away an egg.

Other Thoughts: This review is for an open box unit I was lucky enough to snag. 80+ Silver(or better), Single Rail, PC P&C, Potential better performance than rated. Unit will remain on for a moment after shutdown to cool. This baby is going with me to my next PC build, but for now it is calling home;

AMD FX 8150 4.6Ghz
20 GB RAM
ASUS ROG Crosshair V
Two Radeon 280x Crossfire
Three Seagate 750GB RAID 0
Seagate 4TB USB3.0
250GB Samsung EVO
Antec 1200 Case(numerous case fans with LEDs)
22"-29"-22" Eyefinity at 6400x1080

1 out of 5 eggsPC Power and Cooling Silencer Mk II 950W High Performance 80PLUS Silver

Pros: Worked w/o issue for about 1 yr; then when to a different zone

Cons: Noticed Blue ray players and various devices powered by this PS would have intermittent problems; they would work then not work w/o any logical explanation. Began getting Blue Screens detailing hardware issues where I could not pinpoint causal issue. I bought a Back-up Corsair almost 9 months ago fearing I had a power supply issue. Well when it shutdown my processor and failed to open Windows, enough was enough. I pulled this beast out and popped in the Corsair.... All is again well. In fact better than well. I initially bought this brand based on price and projected performance attributes. I hate swapping out power supplies. I was very disappointed in this product. It is Silver Certified and has a 7 year warranty. I'm just not sure I'd ever want to go through a Power Supply swap-out again in a complex machine as I just did. It's a pain and time consuming. And this baby is not modular, making it worse.

Other Thoughts: Weighing everything, I was very disappointed in this product. I have never had a Power Supply fail on me before...This is my 1st "Silver" and this failed where the 20 + Bronze units I have installed in other machines I built and own are still operating just fine.

5 out of 5 eggsReview update

Pros: - 900 Watt power supply!
- Many SATA connectors, as well as others

Cons: - Non modular, but it's posted
- Was expensive when I purchased it.
- MOV to boot, was originally scared that it didn't have this until I researched a little further.
- My experience is that it's quite

Other Thoughts: I've had my computer up and running since late Oct 2013 and so far so good. I havn't had any problems out of the unit and it's quite.

5 out of 5 eggsOver 1000 watts on the 12v rails

Pros: Amazing power output. Over 80 amps on the 12v rail.
I ran four 5830's overclocked at full load on one of these babies Bitcoin mining 24/7 for months.

I then took the PSU and it's currently running a Kncminer Jupiter at 660+ GH/s
Amazingly awesome. I paperclipped it with a resistor and the PSU is going strong to this day. So it's been running 2 years, hasn't given me an issue yet.

The fan stays on even after the power has been removed for a solid 1-2 minutes to cool the PSU off.
It's near silent.

Cons: There are so many cables, it's like medusa's dreadlocks hang out of this power supply. Not really a con if you have good cable management.

5 out of 5 eggsworking good

Pros: the fan stays on after you turn the computer off to evacuate the excess hot air out and for a faster cool down
it puts out plenty of power to run my phenom x6 clocked at 4.2ghz and 4 120mm casino blue fans and asus light scribe dvd drive and 800gb advanced format drive

Cons: the only con i could have is its not modular

Other Thoughts: i would buy this power supply again anytime

5 out of 5 eggsStill running strong!

Pros: After running them for several months at near full load I can say that this is a very capable power supply, and can can actually output nearly 1,200w with no issues. High quality build and never had an issue with several units.

Cons: None really, maybe the brightly colored orange power plug and not being fully modular.

Other Thoughts: Got half a dozen of these units for specialized power intensive computing tasks and they have not failed yet after months of 24/7 use, would recommend.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Works great!!
Very sturdy!
Though non modular, the cables are sturdy and it's all pretty durable.
Plenty of power, as the 900 watts isn't the peak of this power supplies abilities.

Cons: We all know it's non modular, it's listed this. But the only real con I have is the price. But I do believe that the price has dropped since my purchase a whole lot, so I was ripped off, lol.

Other Thoughts: I'm still very satisfied with this purchase. Got scared when I read about some pc power and cooling parts don't have the MOV, but thankfully this model did. I'm happy with this purchase overall
