5 out of 5 eggsGot ran over by a car and survived.

Pros: Backed my car right over the package FedEx so conveniently placed right outside my garage. Drove right over it. It didn't even dent. I expected catastrophic failure when plugging it in, but instead, it worked like a charm.

The fan is very quiet -- I hope it's not the side effect of a car being on top of it.

The fan also spins for a little after the ATX power is off -- I hope that also a feature.

Cons: Did not protect other components in the box that were also driven over.

5 out of 5 eggsLove it!

Pros: Lots of plugs. Cables have braided sleeves over them. Long so they reach in side of large cases.

Cons: Because they are little longer means a little excess cable. So be sure to have the room for wire management. I don't see this as a reason though to score them poorly.

Other Thoughts: Couldn't be happier. This is my second power supply from them that I have used and as always it works and performs just how I want. I don't have a need for 950w but it is nice to have something that is over rated so as I add more devices I know it can handle it.

3 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Purchased since Oct. 2012, it's been working since

Cons: it is not a modular power supply. I didn't realize how troublesome it is until the HUGE chunk of cables sucking up at least 1 x 5.25" bay. There are a lot of excess cables, for power supply of this magnitude, should be ALL modular

Other Thoughts: with that much chunk of cables getting in the way, I won't recommend this to anyone

5 out of 5 eggsruns 3x 7970 crossfired

Pros: I believe I probably wrote another review about this power supply when I first used it in my build, prior to adding 3x Radeon 7970 cards into my machine. I figured I would write a follow up so that anyone else contemplating a power supply that can handle 3x 7970s would have some valid information. Prior to installing those vid cards this power supply ran cool and quiet. Now it runs very warm and the fan has to kick on higher rpm due to the increased load. If you figure each 7970 pulls around 250 watts then the graphics pull on the 12v rail is 750 watts. That leaves 250 watts left for the rest of the system since this is actually a 1000 watt power supply. It seems to be chugging along fine thus far.

So far I have only been using the current configuration for about a week now. I'll have to see how well this unit holds up over time. If it starts to faulter or fails I will be sure to write another post.

Cons: none so far, all of the cables that everyone complains about aren't an issue if you're using most of them. ;)

Other Thoughts: Here's my specs in order to give you an idea of what kind of power draw this power supply currently supports. (these are not for bragging rights, merely to help others with or planning on configuring a similar system.)

5 out of 5 eggsMy kind of power supply

Pros: One single rail that handles everything, plenty of connectors. Nice sleeved cables. Weighs enough that you know they were serious when they built it. From my understanding they do use parts from SeaSonic. 7 year warranty.

Cons: Not modular for those that like modular so hiding leftover cables takes some thought.

Other Thoughts: I've been using PC Power and Cooling since the late 1990's only had one power supply burnout (I was using a Peltier cpu cooler and didn't realize I needed more power than the ps offered) got a replacement without a hitch. I can't remember if I bought this 950 from Newegg or ordered direct from PC Power and Cooling. Anyway I am a loyal fan.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome power supply

Pros: Every cable known to man comes with this bad boy and silent.

Cons: What con?

Other Thoughts: As stated by others has many many cables, took me a while to hide all of them in my case and I have a full tower so just keep that in mind when buying one.

5 out of 5 eggsEvery calble you need

Pros: Every cable you need to power a powerful gaming PC.

Cons: Cable management is pretty hard with this model. Every cable you need, but extra cables will get in the way if you're using an ATX case. Make sure you get tie-downs when you purchase this baby.

Other Thoughts: It's a very sexy looking PSU, with everything that I needed for my gaming rig. Definitely recommend it for any PC enthusiast. I also recommend purchasing an E-ATX case for this, just to avoid the annoying cable management.

4 out of 5 eggsERMAHGERD CERDS

Pros: SOOOO much power, you'll probably never need more power than this has to offer. It's also well ventilated and remains cool and easy to blow out dust if it gets collected. Definitely built to last.

Cons: DAT CORD DOE, DAT CORD! There's an awful amount of cords in this thing that make it difficult to manage. If you have a smallish or cramped case you may have trouble hiding all of the unused cords and unless you're packing your case with like 7 hard drives and 3 graphics cards... you're gonna have a lot of unused cords.

Other Thoughts: Ultimately a great power supply for a computer built to expand.

2 out of 5 eggsTime is money.

Pros: Quiet. Inexpensive. Great reviews.

Looked cool (matched my black and blue color scheme).

...great return policy.

Cons: Unfortunately, it died after a week.
Cheap?

Other Thoughts: Life is too short for second chances in business.
Switched to Corsair; it has not disappointed. No hard feelings with PCPC; just no second chances.

The was the first and only NEW PSU to ever X_X out on me...so this was probably an isolated incidence. If I saw a killer deal on one, I'd probably chance it again.
