Pros: very quiet. perfect for a budget build as far as an 80 plus certified unit.

Other Thoughts: even though its a low power unit, it makes perfect sense to go with a unit like this when all it is needed for is a basic machine with no high end components. PC Power and Cooling make some nice PSU's

Pros: It's nice and stuff. I would say its quiet but I can't tell 'cause of all the other fans I have.

Cons: Nothing really.

Other Thoughts: I had to ghetto rig my case to get it to fit, it involved a dremel and some duct tape.

Pros: Quality wise, this is a great PSU. The output is very solid, it's got great efficiency, and it's quiet enough to use in a room with a sleeping baby.

Cons: There's only a single SATA cable, and its pretty short. I needed two separate cables - one for a BluRay drive and one for two hard drives. Which only makes sense these days.

Also, is it too much to asked for sleeved cables? There are plenty of other PSUs at this price that have them, and it's dirt cheap to do it. It just makes things so much neater and easier to deal with.

Other Thoughts: I was kind of forced to buy this PSU. It's the only decent PSU that has front-to-back airflow (one with a fan on the bottom wouldn't have worked in my HTPC). So instead of going with more convenient ones, I had to sleeve all the cables and convert one of the molex ones into SATA (regular adapters took up too much room in the case).

On a side note, If you don't have a kill-a-watt meter you really should get one. You always want to make sure that your PC is running within 25%-75% of a PSU's capacity, otherwise you're asking for very low efficiency and higher noise on the lines. And believe it or not, you can run a lot more than you think on a 370W PSU without even stressing it out.

Pros: Solid, quality construction. Sleeved cables. Well-packaged. A great unit in the under-$50 market.

Cons: Only one cable with SATA connectors on it? This is 2009. Many systems have SATA hard drives in one area of the case, and SATA optical drives in another. It's time to modify the cable structure of this otherwise decent unit, or AT LEAST include one 3.5" - 2 x SATA power adapter in the box.

Other Thoughts: Normally, I'd postpone a review until I had the power supply for a week, but the unit is going in a friend's Dell Dimension E520 tower as a replacement, so I don't have that kind of time. That, and the one con is quite an issue, and I want people to know about it. This unit would be the perfect OEM replacement for tons of systems if it just had two leads with SATA on them. If PCP&C makes this change, I'll be ordering plenty more of them in the future; otherwise, I'll have to choose another brand. I'd give it 3.5 stars if I could at this point, but the ratings system won't let me.

Pros: It's pretty quiet. In the workspace I build the PC in, I had to look at the fan to make sure it was turning. You can barely hear the whole PC in my living room, and that may be the CPU cooler.

Cons: The 3 SATA power connectors are too close together. I couldn't get power to one of my drives.

Pros: This is the third PCP&C psu I've purchased. This one was for a client whose psu died and fried everything else.

1) PCP&C is American made, 2) their stats are based on accurate testing methods, 3) they use quality parts, 4) you don't need to know one of hundreds of Asian dialects to speak with customer support.

Performance is important in satisfaction, but the power supply is the most important part. Bad psu can mean death to other parts of your machine. In most cases, this doesn't happen all at once, as in a surge, but over time. Power degradation. Select wisely.

Cons: The molex connectors always seem to be a pain to connect, but death to molex anyways.

Other Thoughts: This is fine for any low-power-consuming machine and is a fine buy for the price. Many specs for newer hardware calls for a more powerful psu, but like I said, PCP&C rates their products properly, and I think many of requirements for such hardware is based on overrated psu's. The difference between properly and overrated power supplies can vary though.

Pros: How do you evaluate a power supply when you first get it, unless you have all kinds of sophisticated test equipment? I'm ordering one of these for a build for a friend, because I have three other PC P&C units; one that has run 24/7 for *ten years* and I'm still using it. I would use it in a new build, it has never even hiccuped. Another one is running flawlessly for 6 years. It was already a few years old when I used it in a new build for another friend. I bought one of the Dell replacement PC P&C units for someone else about 7 years ago and never heard any complaint, that one is probably still running great too.

Cons: If you really want modular cables, you'll have to look elsewhere. PC P&C says "modular cables no good" and I'm not about to argue with them. They've proven to me that they know what they are doing. Better yet, do without the side window and no one will know your cables are messy :). Also, I have to admit that if you have one of those cases with the bottom inlet for PSU cooling air, it makes sense to consider one of the Seasonic units that can be installed upside-down. I'd probably still get one of these though. As far as I can tell at this point, PC P&C PSUs are immortal. I have no evidence to the contrary.

Other Thoughts: Can't beat PC P&C. Seasonic is capable of making really good PSUs (in fact, I believe they contract-manufacture some of these for PC P&C according to their specs and design) but you can't really be sure when you order one if you're getting their top of the line.

Pros: Very easy replacement. Took out old, put in new. Fired right up. Machine runs better than ever.
