With all the processors, cards, fans, add-ons and being added to systems today, it's harder to find the power to you need without overheating! Your relief has arrived! Here's extreme PC power & cooling performance and reliability, with 750W of continuous power and a peak power of 825W!

It features a powerful single 12V rail rated at 60A continuous. The ultra-quiet cooling design leaves the inlet wide open, so 90% less noise is generated per watt with an impressive 83% efficiency. The active PFC (.99) neatly handles input sags and surges and eliminates the need for an 110V to 220V input switch. Automatic fan speed control minimizes noise without sacrificing proper cooling.

This power supply has a 24-pin main connector, a 4-pin 12V connector, an 8-pin 12V CPU connector, 8 peripheral connectors, 6 SATA connectors, a floppy connector, and two PCI-E connectors, two 6-pin to 8-pin PCI-E connectors. The Silencer 750 Quad is NVIDIA SLI and CrossFire certified. This economical, ultra-quiet power supply is backed by a 5-Year warranty and support.

  • newegg EPS12V Compatible Compatible with the EPS12V standard, the PC Power & Cooling Silencer 750 Quad power supply provides maximum power stability to drive the latest Intel and AMD processors as well as other components for desktop and even sever computer systems.

  • newegg Ultra-Quiet Cooling Design The PC Power & Cooling Silencer 750 Quad power supply employs an innovative, ultra-quiet design at the inlet side of the PSU fan for minimized air turbulence. By constructing a noise suppression air gap, no air turbulence and obstruction exist within 1" at the fan inlet, resulting in an ultra-quiet operation.

5 out of 5 eggsEverlasting Power

Pros: Still Kicking! After more than a year of 24/7 use!

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I've read some reviews about power supplies that give up in a few months or so and I've got to say the money spent on this power supply was well spent! A bit Pricey but you get what you pay for, in this case Q-U-A-L-I-T-Y-!

2 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Worked great for 18 months...had better overclock results with this PSU than the one it replaced.

Cons: Dead after 18 months in a medium use situation. (4 hours / day average). Hoping it didn't take anything with it.

Other Thoughts: To be fair, it had quite a load to drive and I didn't leave it much headroom...but still.

Manufacturer Response:

Hi, we are sorry for the trouble. These units are designed to be sensitive to component problems, and shut down to protect your system. Your system components should be just fine. Please visit the link below and create a support ticket to get in touch with our support staff.

5 out of 5 eggsHas stood the test of time

Pros: This is a very stable unit that I have been running in my PC for 2.5 years.

Have had no issues with cable length or cable numbers. I run 2 optical drives, 4 hard drives, 1 PCIe vid card, 1 floppy drive.

Not loud at all.

Cons: No modular rails. (if you dont need all the cables)

Other Thoughts: I recently had some problems with my video card (nvidia 8800 GTX) which died. I had questioned the usual, drivers and card, but I have had PS's die in the past about the two year mark.

I know that wavering power or a dying PS can cause video distortion or a lack of signal all together.

I hooked up a multimeter to the 12v and 5v rails to test the current. Not even a waiver in either rail.

An RMA of the card and problem solved.

I am now building a rig for the spouse and probably going with the same PS.

5 out of 5 eggsAmong the absolute best available

Pros: Rated power is continuous rather than peak as with most manufacturers.
83% efficiency.
Single 12V rail, rather than the marketting-malarky multirail of most others.
Plenty of connectors, all sleeved as well.

Cons: Came with a prime premium, but the performance and stability have been well worth it.

Other Thoughts: I am running this model PSU in two systems in my house at the moment, one of them being a Core2Quad gaming system and the other a dual core Xeon server running an eight disk array. Works beautifully in both, even after a year of continual use on each system. I would prefer if it had a 120mm fan for airflow rather than the small 80 these are built with, but it seems to work fine with the reduced airflow regardless.

5 out of 5 eggsTim Taylor Power!

Pros: Superior power, practically silent, well built, keeps cool.

Can supply power to my beast of a machine, for constant 15 hours of daily use editing high-end graphics.

Cons: Was not endorsed by Tim Taylor.

Other Thoughts: PCUs were difficult to research in regards to building my machine. I am very pleased with this model. Used it regularly for over a year with no problems...great find!

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome Power Supply

Pros: Provides more than enough power for all of my stuff. Core 2 Quad Q9550, GTS 250, 9 LED fans, 3 HDDs, 2 DVD drives. Haven't had it die or not work yet. It seems like it'll keep going for a couple more years.

Cons: Can't make me bacon and eggs.

Other Thoughts: I would buy this again, but the price seems to have gone up since i bought it for $110 over the summer. I guess i'll look somewhere else for my next PSU, not worth it at this price.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat PSU

Pros: Great power, low ripple, high efficiency, very quiet. Very well built.

Cons: Makes cable management slightly diffcult:
some of the connectors are not quite long enough to fit all the way around my HAF932's mobo. A little bit warmer than I might have expected, probably in and around 40 C after 1 week full load via folding, providing around 600 W or so...

Other Thoughts: note: fan expels rear and draws internally.

1 out of 5 eggsDiscovery

Pros: This is a fairly well made product with conventional electronic component and an adequete design. Better than average ripple.

Cons: The problem that has plauged the 750's are poor filter cap's in the primary stage. I know this because I have purchased 4 units over time & all but 1 failed. Even thought I RMA'd the unit to OCZ. They did not replace all the defective units, even claiming once that they could not find the return in their shipping dept. One of the units they sent back to me has just failed, and yes electrolytic fluid leaking out of the filter capacitor onto the PS circuit board.

Other Thoughts: I am sure after 1000's of returns they know exactly what is wrong. I guess it is better to dump all these units on consumers as recertified than to dump them in the garbage.

Manufacturer Response:

Hi, we are sorry that you have had this problem. We repair units in house, and before we do, we have to determine what has failed. We replace all bad components, so any issues would have been repaired prior to shipment. You seem to have an unusual rate of trouble, so we would like to speak with you about this, and take care of your problem. Please contact us through the link below.
Thanks

5 out of 5 eggsGreat PSU and Great Customer Service

Pros: This is my third PCP&Cooling PSU and they all work(ed) great without a hiccup. Quiet and rock steady output on a large single rail.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I thought I had a problem with this unit as an intermittent startup problem was seemingly fixed when I switched PSU's. They gave me an RMA quickly and with no hassle. 10 days later the startup problem came back and I realized the PSU wasn't the culprit. I wrote them and admitted the mistake was mine and offered to pay for return shipping. They said not to worry about it and that they had already tested my unit saying it should give me peace of mind to know the unit was good and would return it ASAP.
Product reliability is a prime issue for me but so is customer service. PCP&Cooling has me as a customer for life.
