2 out of 5 eggsHot power supply when it's burning

Pros: I've had this power supply for over a year and it's been great. In fact it's been really great. Runs quiet lots of connections, and it still powers the computer when flames are coming out of it.

Cons: My only complaint is that it caught fire, and it did even did that really well.

Other Thoughts: I still am trying to figure out why it caught on fire... I have only cleaned the case ever since I installed the power supply over a year ago. My only conclusion was that I had left it running over 24 hours, and I've done that many times before with this computer along with previous computers that I have had. I'm just glad I was home and awake when it happened.

2 out of 5 eggsworked great until it caught on fire

Pros: does what it says -- 650w of power, very quiet, low power consumption, no issues powering my PC.

Cons: caught on fire after a year, took my motherboard and RAM with it. luckily the CPU survived.

Other Thoughts: opened an RMA after it happened, never heard back from Antec about it -- looked into it more recently and they've replaced their old RMA system, so I guess mine got lost in the shuffle. luckily I'm still within the 3yr window, so I opened a new RMA and I'm hoping they replace my unit with a different model. after reading the reviews here, I'm afraid of using this model. I prefer not dying in my sleep.

4 out of 5 eggs3 years and counting

Pros: I made a review over 3 years ago, but I felt I needed to do an update.

This Antec unit has run wonderfully this past 3 years, and I just recently in the past 2 months added a r9 280x and a FX 8350, which are of no issue for this power supply.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: Glad to see they are still selling PSU for so many years. It just works and works and works...

3 out of 5 eggsGood, But...

Pros: Good low end power supply. Steady voltages and gives you what you need out of a 650 watt power supply. Quiet and no fancy lights (I don't want those for this application).

Cons: Not modular, but there are not to many cable to manage anyway. Gets a bit hot so keeping it in a cool area is a must.

Other Thoughts: After 2 solid years of use it's 12 volt is running at 14 volts. This of coarse is causing all kinds of issues. I will have to rewire the whole setup with a new power supply. I wasn't expecting this to last 6 years or anything but I was hoping for more then 2. This is under 24/7 365 use though so keep that in mind when reading this. Under normal use it would have lasted a lot longer most likely.

5 out of 5 eggsNo problems

Pros: Been running this power supply on my home file server for ~2 years now. Not one problem yet. Quiet enough to sit under my desk unnoticed. Powerful enough to drive a low-end RAID card and 5x2T disks.

Cons: None so far

5 out of 5 eggs2 Years Running no problem!

Pros: Works as it should. I have 2 and they are still going strong. Bought them 4/17/12. Over 2 years and not a problem at all.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I run my computer a lot. The only time it goes to sleep is when I do. So this power supply and been running for hours...
