2 out of 5 eggsDead after 1 1/2 years

Pros: Lots of connection options
Sturdy well built- very heavy = good parts.
650 Watts is good for most standard builds.

Cons: Died after 1 1/2 years of 2-3 days a week use.

Other Thoughts: Out of the box back in November 2011 I really liked this PS. I have always purchased Antec. I had a Neo 620 years ago that burnt out, so I then replaced with a cheaper Green power and that one is still going in my kids computer (my 1st build) after 4 years. When I purchased this one in November 2011 this was for my Quad Core, and a Radeon 6570, so it was plenty powerful for the build.

I'm a little disappointed that my second higher end ($$) Antec has failed me! I just purchased a OCZ 750 and are going to try that route instead!
This has a 3 year warranty and I'm now going to deal with that headache and will see what that brings me my supply back.

Manufacturer Response:

5 out of 5 eggsWorth while PSU

Pros: -Quiet
-Seems to be very efficient.
-Good price / I should have purchased mine through Newegg.
-Plenty of connections
-Works great for my needs

Cons: Not modular - Not worth docking an egg, with proper cable management it isn't a problem in my case.

Other Thoughts: Replaced a broken PSU, and has gone above and beyond what I needed.

5 out of 5 eggsBeen working fine over a year!

Pros: I bought this PSU because i needed one for my new built computer and was attracted by its nice color and the 80+ certification. It's been swapped around from 3 computers, and hasn't had any problems. I actually bought a second, lower wattage one (also Antec) for my home server since i was impressed at how well it stayed cool and silent. It's been over a year and have had no problems whatsoever with it. Great power supply!

Cons: None, it works great!

1 out of 5 eggsAlmost Lasted 2 months!! -_-

Pros: None at this point - The Pros tend to be forgotten when you are in the middle of a project and your power supply dies and takes your work with it...

Cons: Died after 1 1/2 months - Now I get to do the RMA dance with Antec, and in the meantime I am without a PC...Yay!

Other Thoughts: You are seeing a trend now in the Newegg reviews... I hope Antec corrects whatever issues they are having with this power supply, because the word is out.

Gamblers: You can roll the dice on this one.

3 out of 5 eggsBurnt out in 2 years. Not impressed

Pros: Quiet. Good wire harness

Cons: 2 years is way to short of a power supply to last. 5-7 years is expected. I had a consistent burned electronics smell from purchase. Not sure it was this power supply. It was not close at all to full amperage load either.

Manufacturer Response:

Hi Steve4505,

That's short for sure - sorry about this but we'll get you a replacement. Please visit our support page and file a trouble ticket: www.antec.com/support/. Once we receive that, we'll have a customer rep contact you for RMA details. Thank you.

5 out of 5 eggsN/A Reviews are a Joke

Pros: I have owned this power supply for more than 2 years. I have never had an issue with it nor has any of my clients. I ONLY use Antec PSU's when replacing someones burnt out PSU or in new computer builds as that is what I do for a living. I think that the N/A reviews have been made by the same person using new made up N/A names. We here have installed hundreds of Antec PSU and have only had one be returned and it was only because the user unplugged the P4 port from the system board. The PSU worked flawlessly

Cons: No con's other than one person using N/A as a cover to talk down about a Fantastic Product.

Other Thoughts: When I purchase a power supply again for myself or a client you can guarantee it will be an ANTEC Power Supply.

1 out of 5 eggsDO NOT BUY! FIRE HAZARD!

Pros: Worked fine for 8 months.

Cons: One surfing net night I look up and see flames shooting out the fan hole. Fools you into feeling safe by sporting a UL logo.

Other Thoughts: Do not buy this. I'm only glad. I happened to be sitting there when this thing flamed out so it didn't burn my house and kill my family. I will never own another Antec product. I'm still fanning the nasty black chemical fume smoke out of my house.
