This seemed like a good choice. However after powering my system for 15 minutes something inside the PSU short circuited, tripped a breaker, and damaged some of the other components in my build. I've never had this problem with any other PSU I've bought, and I will never buy OCZ again. It is also evident it's built with quality. I see this power supply lasting me for a long time and easily handling the overclock I will soon do and the components I will add on in the future. Other Thoughts: I will never buy from OCZ again. I built a rig in March 2011 with this PSU and an OCZ SSD. The PSU died after less than two months, but I chalked it up to bad fortune and did a 1 for 1 tradeout. Less than 2 mo. after that their SSD died, and now (Jan. 2013) the replacement PSU bought the farm. I am now proudly 100% OCZ free after replacing with a Thermal Take PSU. Cons: Ok, well, this unit worked for about a week before it started randomly shutting off my PC and after a bit, just wouldn't stay on for longer than 10 seconds. I tried to submit an RMA from OCZ, since I mailed in the UPC for a rebate, and cannot RMA from Newegg directly. Technicians were EXTREMELY RUDE AND CONDESCENDING. I STILL don't have an RMA number yet, even after repeatedly explaining to the technician that they sold me a broken part. I will NEVER, and I repeat and emphasize NEVER, EVER, EVER buy an OCZ product for as long as I shall live. You get better customer service at BURGER KING than you do from this company. Rarely do I ever receive a faulty item from Newegg. From what I hear, RMA's directly from Newegg go smoothly. It's a shame I couldn't deal with them directly, due to the fact that I had to send away the UPC for the rebate. Other Thoughts: I wish I never had the displeasure of buying this piece of garbage broken power supply. Manufacturer Response: Our ZX series PSU are extremely realiable and unsurpassed in quality and performance. We have no tolerance for any OCZ Staff being rude or condescending in any situation. There are many possibilities for a problem like this (computer shutting off during POST) and if not resolved quickly we will definitely stand behind the product. Everything runs smoothly without hick-ups. With more than enough cables to spare! I could easily hook up another computer to it if I had multiple mobo cables. Even easier than you'd think since it's modular! Cons: The only con I can think of is that the cables for the mobo are a tad on the short side. But, other than that there are none.
