1 out of 5 eggsDOA

Pros: I wouldn't know them if since it never worked for me.

Cons: The item arrived dead on arrival. I now have to go through a tiresome RMA process.

Other Thoughts: I will be avoiding OCZ power supplies.
Because of the time it took for me to gather my PC components, I was unable to test the power supply until recently. I hope I am still covered by Newegg's warranty.

Manufacturer Response:

5 out of 5 eggsRock Solid and Quiet

Pros: Super impressed. I had to double check it was on it was so quiet.

Cons: Has plenty of molex power adapters, but I would like to have seen them be serial power adapters.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat for the price

Pros: Bought this over a year ago for about $30, but was shocked when I saw how much power it pumps out. It keeps a consistent voltage running through to every peripheral, no drops.

Cons: Mine makes a high pitched noise every once in a while, probably a bad capacitor or something. BUT it still works great, so I don't really care, and the noise is nearly inaudible anyway

Other Thoughts: Great for the price I bought it at, but for $59.99 you could get something more powerful

4 out of 5 eggsSolid Value and Super Quiet

Pros: Power levels are clean and constant.
It's amazingly quiet. When I was testing it, I had to turn it over to see if it was working. Wow.
Wrapped cabling is nice.

Cons: The connectors. You get twice as many molex connectors as serial connectors.
It comes with a 4pin aux 12v mb vs the usual 6 or 8pin.
vsb for 5v is not even 1a.

Other Thoughts: I really like this item. more serial power connectors or exchangeable strands would make this a 5egger.

5 out of 5 eggsa well placed investment for the future

Pros: rock solid, stable as a surgeons hand, quiet, very nice

Cons: none, this is topnotch stuff

Other Thoughts: have been using this in my main system for over a year now, overclocked, underclocked, factory clocked. so long as you aren't looking to get into fullblown sli, by this PSU, you won't be sorry.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat Deal...Sort Of

Pros: As many have stated, this is a very quiet power supply; but it still seems to move enough air to keep it cool. I have quite a few OCZ power supplies and have been very impressed with them.
Great deal after rebate too! (Which OCZ seems to do often and I greatly appreciate it)

Cons: NOT an EPS12V power supply!
I should have read the specs better, but the name specifically states EPS12V.
(I still gave it four starts because despite this, OCZ makes a good product)

Other Thoughts: Hello OCZ, and other power supply manufacturers, do you know what makes an EPS12V power supply an EPS12V??? Here's a hint...it has an EPS12V connector.

Now, a power supply can meet EPS specifications (by following the very strict tolerances set forth by the standard), but it it not an EPS12V power supply without the 8-pin EPS12V connection. Just an FYI for your legal department, this is called false advertising. Now, it may be marketing's fault, but the techs should know better and correct them on it.

Sorry, had to get that off my chest with how many hours...wait, make that days, maybe even weeks (not joking here), I have wasted sorting through non-EPS12V power supplies advertised as EPS12V.

That may be a little too facetious for posting guidelines, but I feel that it's well within limits since it's true and buyers should be made aware.

1 out of 5 eggsAnother DOA unit

Pros: Good price, if it had worked.

Cons: Dead. The power switch lit up when I plugged in the A/C cord, but that was the only sign of life.

Put my old Antec 430W back in the computer, and it started right up.

Other Thoughts: Guess I confirmed why NewEgg was selling these off so cheap.

Manufacturer Response:

Hello, we are sorry for the problem. Rough handling during shipping is the largest cause of DOA units, Please contact Newegg for a replacement unit, and you should be working fine.
Thank you

5 out of 5 eggsGreat PSU

Pros: Silent! Replaced an old raidmax 380w psu and I'm extremely happy with my purchase so far. Assuming it works out a couple months I may be buying another one for me other computer. Nice amount of power.

Cons: Wish one of the dongles had 3 more sata power connections rather than 6 4 pin. But not a con, and great for excessive fans. :)

Other Thoughts: Got this for $20 on a shell shocker day, but well worth the $50.

5 out of 5 eggsexcellent product

Pros: Very quiet! works just as it should. (which is apparently harder to accomplish for some manufacturers)

Cons: doesnt have sli support, but then again, its not advertised that it should, so its not really a thought.

3 out of 5 eggsOlder connectors

Pros: Price, good quality, quiet

Cons: doesn't work with newer boards that need an 8 pin connector. It's non-modular so you have a lot of cables all over the place that you probably don't need. I don't like downgrading because it doesn't have an 8 pin connecter, just trying to make people aware so they don't do the stupid thing that I did. OCZ mod stream definitely better.

Other Thoughts: Bought this and was able to use on an older mainboard which I made a build on to give away to a person in need. There is no 110/220 switch on it so I am praying it works where I am sending the computer which is Overseas.
