What's one of the biggest sources of heat and noise in a computer? The power supply. So an efficient, quiet PSU is a joy forever . . . but you also need the muscle to run your ATI Crossfire display board. Running at 80% efficiency, and reducing the noise by nearly 90% (10 dB), this 750 watt supply is a thing of beauty. A sturdy little unit that is compatible with ATX 2.2 systems, it has a Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF) of 100,000 hours or about eleven years! So it's only natural that they offer a five year limited parts and labor warranty, just in case.

Good as a replacement supply or for the hobbyist building a powerful system of their own, this supply delights in being drama-free and boringly reliable. Check it out and see if it's what you need.

Pros: Didn't take out any of my other hardware when it died.

Cons: My first unit lasted about 2 months before quitting with a loud pop. Replacement until worked for 10 months before I began getting random reboots several times an hour. It has been replaced with another brand, and there have been no further problems.

1 out of 5 eggsBLEW UP!

Pros: umm, it lasted 3 months

Cons: One of the capacitors just went and it went off like a SMOKE BOMB!!! filled the whole room full of smoke and a weird smell. I'm running a Q6600 with one 8800GTX and a couple of drives, nothing that could even remotely push this PSU. I've had PSUs go once in a blue moon and besides an old vantec in a friends computer never saw anything this dramatic!

Other Thoughts: PC Power and Cooling better have a paid cross ship RMA service like silverstone or there will be heck to pay.

1 out of 5 eggsFail

Pros: good price.....

Cons: DOA. Hooked it up, my PC didn't get power. Tried a different power supply and my system booted up with no problems.

Other Thoughts: Just got my money back for it. Didn't bother with a replacement. Maybe I just got a bad one? (I do feel slightly bad for not giving it a second chance)

Manufacturer Response:

Hi, we are very sorry for the problem. Damage during shipping is the major cause of DOA units. We are positive that a replacement PSU would have worked out just fine for you. Possibly you will give us another chance on your next build.
Thanks

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent PSU

Pros: Does exactly what you'd want a power supply to do. Fan is nice and quiet, too. The quality is exactly what I'd expect from PC P&C

5 out of 5 eggsLove it!!!!

Pros: Solid, clean power. I had a lot of trouble deciding between this PSU and the same wattage model from C##sair. I decided to go with this one because of the deal at the time. After getting my rebate back, I was only out $85. Great price for this beast. The huge 12v rail is great for running 2 gpu's unless you get a couple GTX 295's or 4870x2's

Cons: NONE!

Other Thoughts: My rig:

Intel Q9550 oc'ed @ 3.4ghz w/Xiggy Dark Knight H/S
EVGA 750i F.T.W. Mobo
4GB G-Skill Pi DDR2 800
EVGA GTX260 Core 216 SC(will be 2 when RMA arrives)
Antec 900 w/5 fans
PC P&C 750w PSU....and no hiccups at all

1 out of 5 eggsWorked for 3 months

Pros: Its Red

Cons: I bought this because of the reputation that pc power and cooling had for power supplies of the highest quality and am very disappointed that it went dead after 3 months while browsing in Firefox. I have some of the most generic hard drives in 6 year old computers that have lasted the life of those computers yet I get a High quality product which fails months after use PC Power and Cooling has lost all my business.

Manufacturer Response:

Hi, we are very sorry for the problem. The overall reliability rate for this product is excellent, and we will gladly repair your unit under warranty. Please visit the link below and create a support ticket to get in touch with our support staff.
Thank you

5 out of 5 eggsWorth every penny

Pros: This is an amazing PS. There are so many wires and the wattage is high enough that I can continue making upgrades to my comp for years and never have to replace it.

Cons: It's HUGE. I had to replace my mini-case and this thing still stretched across the new case so there was just enough room to fit my disk drive in. Plus, all those wonderful, extra wires have nowhere to go. Make sure they don't interfere with your fans.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat power supply

Pros: Great power supply and great value (I got this for $110 shipped). Extremely quiet, heavy as a brick (or maybe two). Cool red color scheme. Lots of cables for future upgrades.

Cons: Lots of cables: not really a problem because I had plenty of room for the unused ones in my case.

Other Thoughts: I have read some reviews here about OCZ not honoring their rebates. I was a bit disappointed when I received power supply and realized that PC Power and Cooling was now part of OCZ. However, I received the rebate from OCZ within a few weeks of mailing it in.
