2 out of 5 eggsPurchaed 04/02/2012 Finally Died

Pros: Cheap, nice LED fan, great power output for the buck!

Cons: Cheap, it shows after dying in 2 years.

Other Thoughts: Would buy again if I was building on a budget! Performed to my expectations, just died sooner than id like.

2 out of 5 eggsDied after less than 1 year

Pros: Very quiet. Plenty of length on the cabling for my full-sized tower case. Good airflow and cooling.

Cons: Died after less than one year. I purchased it on 4/7/2012, put it into service on or about 4/10/2012. It died the day before yesterday, 3/10/2013. No warning or symptoms, no smoke or "bad smell", it just refused to power up. Motherboard LED shows standby power, but pushing power switch just barely makes the cooling fans twitch. I bought three of these altogether. Gave one to my brother, it's still working. Put my spare in to replace the one that died, it's working OK so far.

Other Thoughts: Don't see any point in bothering to return the unit as it has been discontinued and I only paid $49.99 for it anyway.

1 out of 5 eggsFan failed

Pros: It's quiet. The power supply functioned out of the box. The LED lights look cool

Cons: This power supply's fan failed after about three weeks of ownership. The Return process was not very helpful, I ended up forking our $17 for return shipping. In the end, I got a refund of the original purchase amount because at the time this product was on sale. So now, I'm without a power supply, yet again.

Other Thoughts: I really don't like the fact that I wasn't able to get an exchange for this PSU. I don't see how it mattered that it was on sale.

Pros: Used this for a budget gaming rig for my sons friend. Easy fit and well marked connectors. Fired right up and powers everything just fine.

Cons: None.

4 out of 5 eggsGood PSU for the price.

Pros: High output for a cheap price.

Cons: The biggest real con is that it says "crossfire ready", which...it is in a sense. But it only has 2 6 pin connectors. Don't make the same mistake I did and actually READ the full specs on this. But for me this wasn't a major con since I was never planning on crossfiring with this PSU.

A real con though is that the blue LED only works randomly. Sometimes it will be on all day, other times it won't turn on for a week. There is no rhyme or reason why. Also not a big con for me since I have a green theme and this PSU was just temporary.

Other Thoughts: If you want a good cheap PSU with out crossfiring/SLI this is a good choice. Also, if you want a backup PSU just in case, this is a great choice.

4 out of 5 eggs1.5 years and still going

Pros: Picked up one of these for $35 as a shell shocker in 10/2010 and it's still going strong. My system pulls about 450W.

Cons: I'm not the biggest fan of bright LEDs on everything, but it seems like you can't find components without it these days. Modular cables would be nice for a PSU in this price range.

5 out of 5 eggsDANGER !!!!!!!!!!!!

Pros: Looks nice , paint and cables.

Cons: I have mabe 50-60 hours on psu, went to turn on for a rainy day of gaming and POW!!!!!!!. Bright blue shower of moltant metal sparks all over my expensive rig. First time i have ever seen psu explode ! I build PC's for a living and even after many builds i have never encountered a show of shame as brutal as this. Fried my highend motherboard and left moltant metal globs on back of my expensive video card (fell from top of case). If you value your PC dont buy this sorry excuse for a PSU. (Or if you do...Keep a fire extinguisher very close by !!!!)

Other Thoughts: THANKS HEC FOR MAKING ME THIS TICKING TIME BOMB !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! PS.....I have no gaming pc now .... >:0
