5 out of 5 eggsStill Going

Pros: I must say this PSU is the best I have ever owned, then again its my first big name PSU. I bought this back in 2011 and my machine runs almost 24/7 longest up time was a month long. I never hear a noise out of it, my systems peak power at 90% load is just under 750w and this guy doesn't give up. I will say I got a bit confused when I upgraded to the crosshair formula-z board. it has a 4pin and a 8pin for the CPU. the 8 pin I did have to go through the front of my case "antec 902 v3 mid case" but other then that its great!

Cons: I think the only issue I have is the limitations of its time. when this was released back in 2011, modular PSU were just starting to cater to the needs and demands of users. granted not every system is built like the next guys, but cable sleeving could of been better but would raise the cost, the unit itself feels very solid and I have confidence that it will be the last thing that I will ever have to replace. now back to the cables. the cable connectors for the data drives, I wish it came with a variety of styles as corsair is now doing in 2015. but again for its time it was a darn good unit!

5 out of 5 eggsStill Kicking

Pros: Extremely reliable, appropriately priced

Cons: It doesn't do my laundry

Other Thoughts: I bought this back in May of 2011 and it is still going strong. Never had any issues with the PSU and it has loads of cables to keep all your goodies juiced. Still haven't found a reason to upgrade to a new unit. If you are looking for a reliable, hardworking, solid power plant look no further.

1 out of 5 eggsSilverstone ST75F-P 750W ATX

Pros: Unit worked for several months

Cons: Unit failed after about 5 months. The unit's power would cause my server to reboot as if there were a power outage. Then, one day I powered it up, it last 5 minutes, then the power went out. I tried to reboot, but the motherboard would not power up. I substituted with a 650 Watt unit and the mobo powered up fine.

Other Thoughts: I had another Silverstone a few years ago that failed after about 1-2 years.

2 out of 5 eggsWorked during warranty, failed immediately after.

Pros: Worked as it was supposed to and powered anything I threw at it. Fit well in my itx case (lian-li pc-q08) and fully modular cases were a definite plus. I used a short cable set (also silverstone) for the lifetime of the psu, which also worked great.

Cons: Failed on me not 3 months after the warranty expired, despite receiving minimal use for the warranty period. No replacement available and it appears to be the only unit with this high of a capacity that will fit in my case, so that's disappointing because I don't want to support this kind of support if that's what I'm going to get.

Other Thoughts: I'm wary to buy another one of their units if it's not going to last past the warranty period. I bought this power supply as an investment assuming it would last me many years to come and I am sorely disappointed and now have to put my upgrade money towards another power supply instead, and it probably won't be a silverstone.

5 out of 5 eggsModular installation is the way to go!

Pros: Building a system without a modular power supply is just silly these days. Whether you are building a gaming system or a family PC the freedom a modular Power Supply gives you is awesome. This came with everything you I needed to properly secure the Power Supply as well.

Cons: None.

1 out of 5 eggsI will never buy SilverStone product ever again

Pros: 100% modular power supply, plenty of cables etc...

Cons: This power supply is used i a HTPC. Fan started making loud noise (much like a diesel engine). Wrote to SilverStone on 3 occasions and never got a reply. They have to be the worst technical support in the industry, or just don't care about the people the sell to. I would not recommend any SilverStone product to anyone.

Other Thoughts: Stay away from SilverStone products unles you have money to waste

Manufacturer Response:

4 out of 5 eggsgreat power supply

Pros: Quiet, even under full load. Modular. Reliable

Cons: Having no power switch on the back makes working on your computer tricky. I always ground myself of off the psu, and because of the lack of a switch I now use a spare psu to ground myself. Also the cable sleeving is somewhat transparent, along with not going close enough to the connectors.

Other Thoughts: Despite the cons that i listed this is a solid psu for the money that i would recommend to anyone.

1 out of 5 eggsStay Away!

Pros: Modular, and when it worked it was good.

Cons: I wrote a review earlier giving this psu a 4/5 but as of now, i feel i have to let people know to stay away from this psu. As i stated before, i rmaed my original because of a faulty fan. Received a new psu with a faulty fan. And as of last night the psu now makes a constant beeping noise, even when the pc is off. Unplugging the power cord is the only thing that stopped the beeping. Silver stone has the worst customer service i ever had to deal with.

Other Thoughts: I haven't even owned this psu for more than a year and its already time to buy a new one.
I don't even want to go through the horrible rma process again so this psu will be going in the trash.
Silver stone makes great cases but stay away from their power supplies.

Manufacturer Response:

Thank you very much for purchasing SilverStone. Although rare nowadays, there is a possibility that your system may be incompatible with ST75F-P's power output characteristics. Sometimes incompatibility may result in system to not booting up correctly all the time or cause electrical noise. In any event, we still want to make sure you have a working SilverStone PSU and is 100% satisfied, so please contact our US office directly again and let us help you get another PSU:

4 out of 5 eggsVERY BAD Customer service revised.

Pros: I would like to revise my comment that I posted earlier today. I had to speak with a manager at Silverstone and explain the problem that I was having. He called me back after five minutes and appologized about my problem. He also advised he would have a newer model sent out today. He also gave me the tracking # up front.

Cons: Had to work for replacement.
