5 out of 5 eggsXFX Does it again

This review is from: XFX P1-750B-BEFX 750W ATX12V 2.2 & ESP12V 2.91 SLI CrossFire 80 PLUS GOLD Certified Full Modular Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: Great power supply. Quiet, delivers the power I need, fully modular.

Cables and wires are protected by a thick mesh-like cover, and the hybrid fan option is a great feature.

I wrote a review about XFX's R9 290 and how much I loved the company and their products. They once again prove my point. I received my $20 rebate in around a month's time.

Thank you for another great product.

Cons: None

Manufacturer Response:

Excellent. We are happy everything is going as expected.

5 out of 5 eggsThank you XFX

This review is from: XFX P1-750B-BEFX 750W ATX12V 2.2 & ESP12V 2.91 SLI CrossFire 80 PLUS GOLD Certified Full Modular Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: Modular, Stable power,Looks Great.
Came with every cord i needed.
It's working perfectly so far.

Cons: None that i can really think of.

Other Thoughts: I purchased this after I had a 6950 video card stop working. I was running 2 in crossfire, and not only did XFX replace the bad 6950 card, they replaced the working one too so I could keep my crossfire setup. They replaced the 6950's with 2 7800 series cards that score i touch higher than the 6950's did. they did it fast, and at zero cost for me. I will be buying more XFX products!

This Power Supply has been a beast for my build.

5 out of 5 eggsNice PSU

This review is from: XFX P1-750B-BEFX 750W ATX12V 2.2 & ESP12V 2.91 SLI CrossFire 80 PLUS GOLD Certified Full Modular Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: This PSU is nice, and comes with a nice price tag. It came nicely packaged, the cables are nice and flat, no problems with shortage. I'm running this in a CM Storm Stryker and had no issues with any cables being too short. It has two modes, hybrid and normal, which is a really nice feature to have. So far no issues overall, this thing is quiet and keeps everything powered up. If I run into any issues I'll be sure to update, but so far I am really happy with this PSU.

Cons: None so far

Other Thoughts: I had other choices in mind when I was shopping around for a PSU for a new build. I had other PSU's in my wishlist such as the Corsair AX, Cooler Master V, Seasonic, and EVGA Supernova. All of these, but the EVGA, have one thing in common, they are Seasonic OEM, but the XFX had a better price. So keep that in mind. You'll be getting the same quality. Just keep an eye out on the pricing.

5 out of 5 eggsStrong and Quiet

This review is from: XFX P1-750B-BEFX 750W ATX12V 2.2 & ESP12V 2.91 SLI CrossFire 80 PLUS GOLD Certified Full Modular Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: Very good performance, draws less power than the Kingwin 700 watt unit it replaced. Conservatively rated power output. I can't hear the fan over my CPU fan, which is not very loud, even with all the other fans turned off. The air coming out of it is cool.

Cons: Doesn't make coffee.

Other Thoughts: Great value in a rebranded Seasonic product. I recommend this PSU highly.

This review is from: XFX P1-750B-BEFX 750W ATX12V 2.2 & ESP12V 2.91 SLI CrossFire 80 PLUS GOLD Certified Full Modular Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: Decent looking PSU..
Specs looked good

Cons: DOA
Cables are a joke, I have another PC with an EVGA PSU and the cables are amazing..

Other Thoughts: Would not recommend to others, I've bought XFX in the past and been happy.. Seems quality control has gone down hill.

Manufacturer Response:

4 out of 5 eggsGreat PSU with occasional coil whine

This review is from: XFX P1-750B-BEFX 750W ATX12V 2.2 & ESP12V 2.91 SLI CrossFire 80 PLUS GOLD Certified Full Modular Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: In use for 9 months now. Rock-solid power supply, great looks, top notch packaging, excellent modular cables, easy install and cable management.

Cons: Subtle coil whine and occasional electrical buzzing sound. Not enough to rate this power supply lower, but it's there. Not sure if this quality is covered by warranty.

Other Thoughts: I don't regret my choice of power supply, but it would be nice to get this one slightly annoying aspect of this otherwise stellar PSU fixed.

Manufacturer Response:

Hello Sigilcaster, Coilwhine is covered under warranty. If you would like this unit replaced, please contact us at neweggsupport@xfxforce.com. Thank you

4 out of 5 eggsNot bad

This review is from: XFX P1-750B-BEFX 750W ATX12V 2.2 & ESP12V 2.91 SLI CrossFire 80 PLUS GOLD Certified Full Modular Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: Love the modular design. Really saves on packaging space since I dont have one giant plug.
Quiet on standard mode, but I haven't had a chance to really tax it yet.

Cons: No straight connector for my SSD drive, so I could not mount it to the side of the case behind the mobo. So now I have 4 bays installed for one SSD because of the 90 degree connector. Oh well, have to spend a few more bucks to get another cable.

An LED power indicator would have been nice.

Manufacturer Response:

Thank you for the review. We appreciate your feedback. If you need a specific cable, please email me at neweggsupport@xfxforce.com.

3 out of 5 eggsNo Customer Servce

This review is from: XFX P1-750B-BEFX 750W ATX12V 2.2 & ESP12V 2.91 SLI CrossFire 80 PLUS GOLD Certified Full Modular Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: Nice looking, seems well made, all the cords i needed

Cons: I was getting no powerup. Instructions give no debug instructions. No phone number. i entered an RMA in the website and three days later no response. i was able to figure it out as a miss-placed plug, otherwise i would have had no choice but to return it. After 30 days, i'd been stuck.

Other Thoughts: I would not buy this brand again, if it goes out - I'm stuck...

Manufacturer Response:

Hello, We're sorry you are having trouble with your PSU. Our Customer support phone lines are open M-F 9am-5pm PST. 800 880 3225. Please make a support ticket before calling. Thank you

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent Power Supply

This review is from: XFX P1-750B-BEFX 750W ATX12V 2.2 & ESP12V 2.91 SLI CrossFire 80 PLUS GOLD Certified Full Modular Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: It is very neat, great cable management, ultra stable voltage readings and has a special switch that allows you to turn off the fan when the PSU is idle and will turn on itself when required. It is a rebranded Seasonic X series MK3 also used on the Corsair AX series, which means that going either 3 won't disappoint you.

Cons: The cables are flat and hard to manage and hide as they don't bend that well, poor documentation (At least it is intuitive to assemble and connect the proper cables).

Other Thoughts: Overall, is a well round product that won't disappoint you. It is able to powerup my i7 2600K @ 4.40GHz watercooled with a modest Antec Khuler 620, 8GB G.Skill 2,133MHz, Sapphire HD 7970GHz oced to 1,125 with a Asus GTX 650 DirectCu for PhysX processing, OCZ Vertex 4 128GB, all stuffed into the NZXT Phantom PHAN-001WT.

Manufacturer Response:

Thank you for the great review! If you ever have an issue with this PSU, or a question, please contact our XFX Support team at neweggsupport@xfxforce.com.

3 out of 5 eggsGreat power supply. Customer service was not as great.

This review is from: XFX P1-750B-BEFX 750W ATX12V 2.2 & ESP12V 2.91 SLI CrossFire 80 PLUS GOLD Certified Full Modular Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: The power supply runs cool and quiet. Gives it's rated power without any problems. It's an excellent power supply with quality components and excellent performance. The full modularity is a plus for cable management and the cables look clean enough without the need for sleeving.

Cons: I'd have to say my worst gripe about the power supply wasn't the power supply itself, but the customer service. The box was missing cables. First I tried going to XFX's website to try to contact customer service, but there was no obvious contact email. The customer service number wasn't to call center, but to a voicemail which I left a message for but never got a call back.

To reach customer service, I had to browse through the newegg reviews for XFX products until I came across the email for the rep on newegg. I got in contact with Mark. Because of delayed response times and them not knowing their own products, it took about 2 weeks to finally get the cables I needed. Overall, I'm not sure if I'd buy from them again for all the trouble that they make you go through to reach a person and then communicate with them over days at a time.

Other Thoughts: The quality of the power supply for the price can't be beat. It's almost worth the trouble of going through customer service for any issues. Hope that nothing goes wrong and you will have a great product.
