Not all wattages are the same. Traditional Multi-Rail PSUs might claim to have higher wattages, but they are achieved by combining multiple smaller, lower wattage rails. Each smaller rail isn’t capable of running multiple high-power devices (GPUs, CPUs) because the individual wattage caps are simply too low. EasyRail Technology provides true total wattage – when you expect 200W, EasyRail gives you 200W. One Rail, One Setup.

XFX Core Edition Pro Series PSUs are designed to deliver tight DC voltage regulation (±5%) with minimal AC ripple, giving you safer, cleaner power which along with XFX’s new EasyRail Technology allows you to connect numerous devices without worrying about running out of power before reaching the maximum wattage. EasyRail optimizes it all for you. Available in 650W, 750W and 850W, XFX Core Edition Pro Series PSUs with EasyRail Technology give you one continuous rail of power covering the total maximum wattage.

  • newegg 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified The 80 PLUS BRONZE certified power supply provides high power efficiency of at least 82% at any load between 20% and 100%, saving your money on your electrical bill, reducing heat in your computer's system and prolonging its life.
  • newegg EasyRail for Maximum Power Unique, continuous EasyRail technology enables you to maximize available power and make set-up easy. The XFX Core Edition PRO650W (P1-650S-NLB9) is capable of delivering 650W of continuous output even at well above standard operating conditions such as 50°C. Single, high-power +12V rail with EasyRail technology providing up to 53A ensures the maximum provision of 12V power to multi-core CPUs and energy-hungry GPUs. Stack numerous power-hungry components without fear of crashing!
  • newegg Japanese Brand Capacitors (105°C) The PSU utilizes highly reliable Japanese brand capacitors for exceptional stability and product lifespan.
  • newegg 135mm Silent Ball Bearing Fan The 135mm ball bearing fan provides superior cooling performance to dissipate heat in the power supply enclosure while running whisper-quiet.
  • newegg NVIDIA SLI Ready Certified Coming with 2x PCI-E 6-pin and 2x PCI-E 6+2-pin connectors, the XFX Core Edition PRO650W (P1-650S-NLB9) allows you to build a SLI or CrossFireX gaming system.
  • newegg Clean Power Power drawn from your AC outlet is typically dirty with voltage spikes and fluctuations, which can harm vital PC components. XFX PSUs are designed to deliver tight DC voltage regulation with minimal AC ripple, giving you safer, cleaner power. This can also reduce audio distortion and screen flicker especially for high power gaming systems.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat PSU

This review is from: XFX TS Series P1550SXXB9 550W ATX12V 2.2 & ESP12V 2.91 SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS Bronze Certified Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: Great PSU for the price. OEM is Seasonic and the quality really shows.

Cons: No cons- bought it knowing that it was non-modular but it did make cable management a challenge.

Manufacturer Response:

5 out of 5 eggsSolid Unit

This review is from: XFX TS Series P1550SXXB9 550W ATX12V 2.2 & ESP12V 2.91 SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS Bronze Certified Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: Heavy for a 550W PSU which suggests the heat sinks are robust. Seems solidly built in every respect. No frills, sleeved stout PSU.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I have not used one of these myself but this is the second one I have purchased for customer builds. Only time will tell if it was a good choice but certainly there are no outward indications otherwise.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat PSU, great price

This review is from: XFX TS Series P1550SXXB9 550W ATX12V 2.2 & ESP12V 2.91 SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS Bronze Certified Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: Very good PSU, solid 550W. I could not power my R9 280 card with a OCZ 700 W PSU but with this 550W PSU it works like a charm. Will buy 2 more but the rebate expired.

Cons: None

3 out of 5 eggsWatch out for Rebate Nonsense

This review is from: XFX TS Series P1550SXXB9 550W ATX12V 2.2 & ESP12V 2.91 SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS Bronze Certified Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: Well made, quality appears good

Cons: None noted

Other Thoughts: REBATE GAME IS TRICKY!!

These jerks PURPOSEFULLY make the rebate process a nightmare.

I've done hundreds (YES, HUNDREDS) of rebates over the years, and these jerks make the process as hard as possible.

First you get a chicken, at midnight plus three minutes you must pluck 4 complete feathers without drawing blood ...

Seriously, YOU MUST SUBMIT A COPY OF THE “INVOICE". NOT a copy of the ORDER!!!

Wanna know the difference? It has the word "Invoice", all else is the same.

Order Details shows date & time, name & address, order #, shipping info, product name & number, price and rest of $ details, BUT IT DOESN'T SAY INVOICE so they reject it!

They know a certain % of people won't properly re-submit so they keep the $$. It's all a scam game.

YOU MUST WRITE "RESUBMISSION" ON THE ENVELOPE OR THEY'LL REJECT IT AGAIN. You have 30 days from reject date.

No doubt others have written about this garbage, I didn't have time to read through all the reviews 1st, I have a very busy life, but I needed to vent and try to warn others.

Product seems fine, rebate game ... they should be put out of business for running a con game.

Peace out!

Manufacturer Response:

Hello Puterpro,

Afligo, the rebate company that services Newegg Rebates is not XFX. Whenever there is an issue with a rebate, please contact the rebate issuer, XFX in this case, and we can help remedy the situation.

I make sure everyone who contacts me that has rebate trouble, gets their rebate.

5 out of 5 eggs

This review is from: XFX TS Series P1550SXXB9 550W ATX12V 2.2 & ESP12V 2.91 SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS Bronze Certified Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: Seasonic oem

Decently priced

Solid Unit

Good Warranty

Cons: Not Modular

Not Higher Efficiency

Other Thoughts: Very solid psu, especially if you snag it on sale for under 30 USD. I had it as my spare psu for a while, but eventually moved it into my nas, where it stayed on for about 5 months straight without a hitch at about 30% load and stayed very quiet. All in all a very solid unit with seasonic oem.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat PSU, Just Hope Yours Isn't DOA

This review is from: XFX TS Series P1550SXXB9 550W ATX12V 2.2 & ESP12V 2.91 SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS Bronze Certified Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: 80+ Bronze
Long (IMO) CPU 8pin
Sleeved 24pin
Plenty of cables for upgrades

Cons: Maybe it was mine but one mounting hole is a little off
Need lots of room in case to hide cables
Some connectors feel a bit cheap while others feel robust

Other Thoughts: Well, where do I start? The first power supply I got worked fine for one day then I was on a wild goose chase. Ssd and hdd randomly froze and would not come out of sleep. At one point it tested fine on voltages and the paper clip trick so I thought it was the mobo. After 2 days of testing I decided to try it on another computer and it didn't start that one either. IMMEDIATELY sent off for RMA replacement. Got a new replacement and my X4 860K is working great now. You might ask why the 4 star rating. Well it isn't Newegg's fault it failed but they did a great job of processing the return and sending out a new one. I was going to go with the Corsair at first but I could not afford to go the cheap route on the PSU. You have to take all the negatives and positives and decide what's best for you when it comes to buying computer parts. I know a lot of people give XFX a bad rep but along with Asus, they've yet to let me down.

5 out of 5 eggs

This review is from: XFX TS Series P1550SXXB9 550W ATX12V 2.2 & ESP12V 2.91 SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS Bronze Certified Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: PS has a good look and feel to it. Fairly quiet. Good price to value ratio especially on sale. Very pleased overall.

Cons: The voltages ratings are a little different. The PS I received has ratings of 24,24 and 44. Which matches the picture which is different than the Newegg advertisement.

Other Thoughts: One of the gripes I got is that the voltage sticker is on the top not on the side. You have to remove the PS to see what voltages ratings are. I suppose if you have a windowed case, the logo would look better than the specs.

Manufacturer Response:

Hello,

Thank you for the review. We appreciate the kind words and are happy you are pleased.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat PSU for the price

This review is from: XFX TS Series P1550SXXB9 550W ATX12V 2.2 & ESP12V 2.91 SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS Bronze Certified Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: Lots of cables, great value

Cons: Fan is a little noisy, gives off a ticking noise. I'm probably just picky when it comes to fan noise, but thought I'd mention it. I don't think its worth knocking off an egg for this. Just don't expect a 100% silent fan.

Manufacturer Response:

Thank you for the great review.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks as expected.

This review is from: XFX TS Series P1550SXXB9 550W ATX12V 2.2 & ESP12V 2.91 SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS Bronze Certified Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: Works as expected. 550 wattage if plenty for 99% of single video cards models out there.

Here's to hoping it will give me trouble free usage for the next 5 years!

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I very curious to how many units get returned to Manf. as DOA but actually perfectly working unit? Maybe more than half?
I have feeling that many of those that return them didnt actually know what they were doing. As I would find it rare for it to DOA and die in less than a month.

Manufacturer Response:

Thank you for the review GoodSamaritan!

DOA statistics can be very complcaited and if you try to simplify them, you have to be specific.

DOA PSU's are exceptionally rare, usually the customer has it hooked up wrong, then trys to plug it into the wall to confirm it works (which wont confirm it), and gets a false positive.

Most actual DOA's are noticeable physical damage, or a noticeable power surge occured due to faulty setup.

If you have any questions, please let us know.
