Not all wattages are the same. Traditional Multi-Rail PSUs might claim to have higher wattages, but they are achieved by combining multiple smaller, lower wattage rails. Each smaller rail isn’t capable of running multiple high-power devices (GPUs, CPUs) because the individual wattage caps are simply too low. EasyRail Technology provides true total wattage – when you expect 200W, EasyRail gives you 200W. One Rail, One Setup.

XFX Core Edition Pro Series PSUs are designed to deliver tight DC voltage regulation (±5%) with minimal AC ripple, giving you safer, cleaner power which along with XFX’s new EasyRail Technology allows you to connect numerous devices without worrying about running out of power before reaching the maximum wattage. EasyRail optimizes it all for you. Available in 650W, 750W and 850W, XFX Core Edition Pro Series PSUs with EasyRail Technology give you one continuous rail of power covering the total maximum wattage.

  • newegg 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified The 80 PLUS BRONZE certified power supply provides high power efficiency of at least 82% at any load between 20% and 100%, saving your money on your electrical bill, reducing heat in your computer's system and prolonging its life.
  • newegg EasyRail for Maximum Power Unique, continuous EasyRail technology enables you to maximize available power and make set-up easy. The XFX Core Edition PRO650W (P1-650S-NLB9) is capable of delivering 650W of continuous output even at well above standard operating conditions such as 50°C. Single, high-power +12V rail with EasyRail technology providing up to 53A ensures the maximum provision of 12V power to multi-core CPUs and energy-hungry GPUs. Stack numerous power-hungry components without fear of crashing!
  • newegg Japanese Brand Capacitors (105°C) The PSU utilizes highly reliable Japanese brand capacitors for exceptional stability and product lifespan.
  • newegg 135mm Silent Ball Bearing Fan The 135mm ball bearing fan provides superior cooling performance to dissipate heat in the power supply enclosure while running whisper-quiet.
  • newegg NVIDIA SLI Ready Certified Coming with 2x PCI-E 6-pin and 2x PCI-E 6+2-pin connectors, the XFX Core Edition PRO650W (P1-650S-NLB9) allows you to build a SLI or CrossFireX gaming system.
  • newegg Clean Power Power drawn from your AC outlet is typically dirty with voltage spikes and fluctuations, which can harm vital PC components. XFX PSUs are designed to deliver tight DC voltage regulation with minimal AC ripple, giving you safer, cleaner power. This can also reduce audio distortion and screen flicker especially for high power gaming systems.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent PSU

This review is from: XFX Core Edition PRO850W (P1-850S-NLB9) 850W ATX12V / EPS12V SLI CrossFire 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: -Reliable
-Quiet
-Looks great
-Plenty of juice for OC and SLI/Crossfire

Cons: -Not modular
-Only Bronze

Other Thoughts: I bougt this because it looked great, but it is truly a solid, reliable Seasonic-made unit. I have been running an overclocked FX-8150 (4.6 GHz), and an overclocked 660ti (previously 6950 bios-update to 6970), along with 16gb of overclocked Corsair Vengeance, an SSD and two hard drives. I also have a sound card, portable HDD backup and run a million USB devices. This is a great PSU and it simply looks better than anything out there. I cannot recommend it enough.

Manufacturer Response:

5 out of 5 eggsGrossly overlooked

This review is from: XFX Core Edition PRO850W (P1-850S-NLB9) 850W ATX12V / EPS12V SLI CrossFire 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: Good solid power supply. No problems with it at all. No hiccups, no power drains, no noise, hardly ever gets hot, quiet. Had this item for 2.5 years and not a single solitary problem with this power supply. It is a true workhorse that many computer enthusaists just overlook. I turn mty computer and it gets the power it needs with no problems at all. Nada, none, zilch.

Cons: No cons. None at all.

Other Thoughts: I understand XFX is known for their fine quality video cards. I have an old 4870 that I had on a previous build on this build I presently. It has been about 4 years and that XFX 4870 video card is still going strong with no hiccups. Having said this, if anyone is looking for a power supply that is good with a good price this is a very good alternative. All the Antec, Thermaltake, and Corsaiir are too expensive. XFX gives you a good power supply for a good price. I was skittish in buying it but since I was short on money this was the only one I could afford. I'm glad I did. This XFX Pro850-watt power supply is surprisingly very good, and very reliable. I'm a loyal customer because I will never, ever get ripped off by Antec, Thermaltake and other psu companies again.

1 out of 5 eggsDead on arrival

This review is from: XFX Core Edition PRO850W (P1-850S-NLB9) 850W ATX12V / EPS12V SLI CrossFire 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: Nice look to it.
Long cords.
Nice packaging.
Decent warranty.

Cons: Power supply did not work.
RMA site on Xfx is just awful.

Other Thoughts: After trying to get a replacement on their site and reading the review from another retailer that stated a customer got a doa unit and then the replacement was doa, I decided to just ship this back to newegg. I will be purchasing the next one from Corsair since my old 850W Corsair PSU is the only reason I was able to get my new PC to work. First purchase of an XFX product and likely my last.

Manufacturer Response:

Hello EricC, PSU's at XFX are immediately replaced without question for new owners, the 2x DOA review was not "true" to the sense. For future reference or help, please email us.

1 out of 5 eggsOne shot wonder

This review is from: XFX Core Edition PRO850W (P1-850S-NLB9) 850W ATX12V / EPS12V SLI CrossFire 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: Nice package.

Cons: I selected this PSU for a new system build based on specs and many favorable reviews. Installation went well, and it powered the system through OS installation, updates, etc. I shutdown the system, unplug it from the wall and go on a trip for week only to return to a dead PSU. I followed the manufacturer's troubleshooting steps to no avail, it's just flatlined. Now I have to pay shipping just to return it for a replacement, so much for the rebate!

Manufacturer Response:

Hello Clemson,

We're sorry you had issues with your PSU. If you have any questions about your return, please contact us at neweggsupport@xfxforce.com.

Thank you

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent supply.

This review is from: XFX Core Edition PRO850W (P1-850S-NLB9) 850W ATX12V / EPS12V SLI CrossFire 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: Virtually any power connector you'll ever need, and there's plenty of them as well. Exhaust fan is nice and power, while still quiet, as well!

Cons: Not modular. Takes a lot of space to house the other connectors you may not be using; get some zipties and you'll be fine, though.

Other Thoughts: My first one was bad, apparently, but Newegg replaced it quickly enough at no cost. Second one is still going strong, no problems on it.

1 out of 5 eggsGood till it wasnt

This review is from: XFX Core Edition PRO850W (P1-850S-NLB9) 850W ATX12V / EPS12V SLI CrossFire 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: Nice fan, plenty of power, cool design.

Cons: Bought this last December and just the other day it quit, no power to the mobo. Piece of junk, now i have to spend another 150 to get a new psu.

Other Thoughts: Havent tried seeing if there is a warranty on it, but being passed RMA time and all that im sure its passed the Warranty date.

Manufacturer Response:

Hello Ryan, this PSU has a 5 year warranty, please create a support ticket at xfxsupport.com to get started, or email me at neweggsupport@xfxforce.com for more help. Thank you

5 out of 5 eggsGreat PSU

This review is from: XFX Core Edition PRO850W (P1-850S-NLB9) 850W ATX12V / EPS12V SLI CrossFire 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: -has all the connectors you would want
-runs almost silent
-works

Been working like a champ for three months now even tho Im pulling 820w from it non stop. :)

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: People told me I could run my set up with a 850w psu, but I found out in my case that doesn't allow alot of ocing head room. Might have to amp up for a 1k w in the furture just for ocing but I still love this psu.

5 out of 5 eggsGood Solid PSU

This review is from: XFX Core Edition PRO850W (P1-850S-NLB9) 850W ATX12V / EPS12V SLI CrossFire 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: More than enough power for my needs, more than enough connections to plug all my peripherals up to power.

Cons: Lots of cables see other thoughts.

Other Thoughts: I put this PSU in an mATX case, I would recommend that if you were looking to do the same fork out the extra money and get the modular (or even semi-modular) version of this same PSU. It will save you a lot of hassle using only the cables that you need instead of all of them.
