5 out of 5 eggsStill Working It

Pros: -SILVER Certified
-Modular
-Lots of cabling options
-Slick packaging
-Quiet

Cons: -Stiff cables (believe what you read)
-Ugly. Snot green doesn't look good on anything (not really a con, but I'm trying to find something)

Other Thoughts: Still doing it's job after 2 years of use. I don't have anything insane with my setup (125W CPU, 1 SSD, 1 HDD, 1 Optical, and only one video card), but this guy is doing his job admirable and extremely quiet.

Here's hoping to another 2 more years of respectable service.

4 out of 5 eggsGave up the ghost

Pros: Fancy packaging, modular; all power cabling nicely wrapped in mesh sleeving.

Cons: Finally gave up the ghost--died on me when computer was on idle/not much load. I was running a EVGA sli mobo w/ GTX 570, 2 cd drives, 1 hdd, 1 30gb flash drive, and several small fans--not a heavy load by any means.

Other Thoughts: will have to wait and see what their tech support/warranty service is like

5 out of 5 eggsGreat, solid PSU

Pros: - Packaged beautifully. The box it came in is marvelous.
- Looks awesome. Green color scheme! It can be difficult to find green parts these days. Everything is just blue, blue, blue.
- Pretty quiet.
- Modular.
- Poweful. Shrugs off overclocking components like it's nothing.
- Comes with all the extra cables you'd ever want in a little carrying case.
- Good quality, sturdy cables (read more in the cons).

Cons: - The cables are STIFF and THICK. I read the reviews beforehand, and I saw people complaining about the stiffness of cables, but I just thought they were being babies. They were certainly correct. These cables are stiff as hell and rather thick, too. It makes cable management a huge pain in the rear. However, I suppose this is an indicator of good cable quality.
- Not all of the cables are modular. There are several PCI-E connectors that are hardwired into the PSU as well as the motherboard power cables, but that cable is acceptable to be non-modular. However, I don't see a reason to have anything hardwired other than the cables you know for a fact will be used (mobo power). Check out the pictures and you can see specifically which cables are non-modular.
- Though it may look like it, this power supply does not light up. This isn't really a con, because this was not advertised, but I just want to warn those that think it lights up.

Other Thoughts: All in all, I believe this was well worth the money. Your power supply is the most crucial component in your system.

I'm planning on buying a new graphics card or two in a few months, putting them in CrossFire/SLI, and overclocking them. We'll see how the PSU holds up after that.

5 out of 5 eggsBest bang for the buck

Pros: Color scheme looks cool

Modular connectors makes it easy for cable management - if you don't need a cable [molex for example] then you don't need to plug one in

SLI Ready

One +12V 62A rail

Plenty of extra cables and a storage bag

Cooling fan at the bottom of PS is nice for my bottom mount case (HAF 922)

Cons: None really. Only gripe I have so far is that even though this is a modular PS, I had plenty of "hard wired" cables that I wasn't using that I needed to bind together using a twist tie. Thankfully this PS is bottom mounted in my HAF 922 case, so I can lay these cables off to the side on the bottom of the case. If this was a top mounted case, then the bundled cables I'm not using would hand down and look unsightly.

Other Thoughts: Even though I like how this PS mounts in my HAF 922 case, I wasn't able to use my Thermalright Spitfire VGA cooler. If you've seen it, you know it's really large. Anyhow, I couldn't use the cooler because the PSU was in the way. I tried mounting the cooler in the opposite direction, but it rested on top of the CPU cooler and it's possible the card didn't quite seat in the PCI-e slot, as the video would not turn on. So now I ended up buying a different VGA cooler that not only fits the card better, but fits in the case as it should. Trying to find a cooler for a non-reference GTX 460 was a pain, but Newegg had them in stock (and I bought the last two, LOL - COOLMAXX 4000).

Other than this minor issue, I haven't had any problems with this PS. The one +12v rail is awesome and provided more than enough power for my two GTX 460 cards running in SLI. They're only 24A each and this one +12V rail is rated at 62A.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat power supply

Pros: Quiet, easy to connect everything, provides more than enough power for my needs. Came with plenty of cables. Also has a great look to it.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: I have had no issues with the power supply. As a first time builder it was very intuitive to plug everything in with the supplied cables.

1 out of 5 eggsPopped after 3 weeks

Pros: Worked great until....

Cons: The sound of a 22 caliber pistol shot out at 5 AM, followed by a completely dead computer. No word yet if it took anything with it, but this is never a good situation to be in.

Other Thoughts: Newegg has deactivated this item, so you're basically stuck with XFX for RMA's, hopefully they handle my situation well. (I sent it back today.)

5 out of 5 eggsFantastic

Pros: Solid power supply. Never had any issues. I'm loving the 80-plus silver rating-- my system idles < 70W power usage, and under load never goes over 300W.

Cons: None. If this meets your power specs, GET IT.

Other Thoughts: Specs:

XFX Black Edition 750W 80 Plus Silver
MSI PC67A-GD65 (b3)
Intel i7-2600k O.C.'d to 4.2GHz
EVGA GeForce GTX 460 1GB
4x4GB GSkill Ripjaw DDR3 1600
Crucial C300 128GB SSD (SATA 3.0)

4 out of 5 eggsSturdy

Pros: Cables long enough to reach anywhere in a mid-size case. Heavy enough to put a dent in steel plating. Can be used as a boat anchor in an emergency.

Cons: Cables are a bit too long, really.

Other Thoughts: Wow, this thing is heavy. Great modular design, but I have to question putting both the EPS and ATX 4+4 connectors as permanent attachments on the PSU. Why not make them modular and mutually exclusive? The point of a modular PSU is not having any extraneous cables, and this guarantees you will always have ONE. Minus 1 egg for not punishing the engineer.

5 out of 5 eggsVery nice

Pros: Very quiet, sturdy construction, comes with tons of added extras and the packaging is amazing.

Cons: Upon first boot, there was a clicking noise coming from the fan. It took me awhile to figure out what it was, but after moving the thick cluster of cables to the side the sound went away. I guess the fan is so close to the cables on the inside of the casing that they touch sometimes. This might be because I installed this as a bottom PSU instead of a top, and the cables might be pressed up against it more than usual.

5 out of 5 eggsi got the power

Pros: From what I gather, this PSU has internals by Seasonic, which means low ripple and high quality. It has loads of connectors, and they are all actually long enough to work in the antec power-goes-on-the-bottom cases.

Best part? one giant 12v rail, so the parts that need power get it. The modular cables are all thicker gauge than any I've ever seen which is comforting, the sleeving is great, and the unit itself is heavy as a freaking brick.

I upgraded from a XION supposed-to-get-my-rebate-but-it-never-came model, and this one seems to be higher quality in every way. It powers a q9550@3.46 on an MSI 780i Diamond @ 400FSB (with proper overvolting), 4gb ddr2@2.2v, 2 gtx460 hawks @ 900/1800/2000 with small over volt, a 300gb velociraptor, a bluray drive, and the 16 billion fans that can fit in an antec 900 with no issue. I could never touch those OC numbers stable with the old PSU. This one makes it seem like the parts I have can do more.

Cons: how the hell am i supposed to trick out my fly case with NO LIGHTS ON THE POWER SUPPLY?!

ha nah there's no problems. This thing is great.

Other Thoughts: I love the packaging. After working in a retail/repair shop and dealing with OEM PSUs all day long, it's pretty awesome to see so much thought going into the design of the box. It even came with a little carrying bag for your cables! I cannot say enough good about this power supply, the price was great even without rebate and the quality is superb.
