Pros: it started out great, lots of power, no problems

Cons: after about 4 months a few of the rails stopped working randomly, i noticed some of my case fans not working anymore....figured it was just cheap fans. but after about 9 months the whole thing died, and it took the motherboard with it. had to replace both...and my case fans are working again now.

4 out of 5 eggsExcellent, proven performance all around in a slightly cheap package

Pros: Very good efficiency, low heat, low noise and excellent voltage regulation (you know, it like, doesn't send, like, electricity spikes to your parts in your box and fry them) Attractive and solid housing. Good length cables. Excellent performance all around and stands up under full load - Try googling some real power supply reviews of it and see what I mean.

Cons: Overall build quality is average. Cables/connectors are cheap and not modular. Doesn't have a BLU light! :) Costs way more now than I got it for.

Other Thoughts: Check out a real review of this thing from awhile ago on hardocp dot com (The 750w is exactly the same, just rated higher). The thing under FULL load holds up and holds up well.

In late '08 an Axxxc supply (hundred and twenty dollar one not quite a year old) died and I was just going to buy what looked like a good value at the big B&M retail store. I stumbled upon it and happened to get it for seventy bucks with no rebate! Had no idea what I was getting at the time but I figured I was getting a totally average quality PSU for what I paid and how much "good" PSU's are. I am truly surprised to see well into the triple digits online. It's still EASILY worth three figures with it's actual excellent performance.

The problem is that at the hundred twenty price point there are others with better/modular cables and also excellent performance. For seventy, it was a freaking steal for me! :)

If you DO see the Real Power Pro line at a low price, it's definitely a bargain and grab one!

5 out of 5 eggsNice PS

Pros: I own 2 of these power supplies, I grabbed them at a far lower price than they currently are. Works great on my Core2 and on my i7 setup. Cables are nicely wrapped in black mesh. Runs my system with HD4870, 4 HDs, and Quadcore Core2 easily. 80plus certified

Cons: Non modular cables

5 out of 5 eggsCOOLER MASTER Real Power Pro 650W

Pros: The COOLER MASTER Real Power series power supplies are the second best power supplies on the market (first being the UCP series).

They all feature high efficiency levels (usually 80 Plus Certified like on this PSU), with the typical efficiency and average efficiency above 85%.

Internally, the large and silent 120mm fan draws in air. Unlike most other PSUs, the COOLER MASTER power supplies are very silent (especially the Silent Pro M series) and actually exhaust heat outside of the PC case. Aluminum heat pipes transfer heat to the rear of the unit where heat is exhausted.

Dual transformers balance all rails, offering greater stability. Three +12v rails with 19A on each, making 57A total. Fully utilized you should get around 40A. Non modular helps in the stability and size of the unit.

This PSU will fit in any normal ATX case. Glossy finish looks splended.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: I use this in my system which includes an overclocked Intel Core 2 DUO E8400 (3.6 ghz/1600 mhz FSB, 1.328 VCore and 1.4V FSB), 4 GB of DDR2/PC2 6400 RAM (Crucial Ballistix overclocked to 960 mhz, 5:6 ratio with FSB), EVGA GTX 260 CORE 216 - 55nm (684/1476/1190), PNY 9600GT PhysX processor (720/1800/950), Creative SB Audigy SE 7.1 sound card, WD Caviar 320 GB hard drive, and 5 case fans. No issues what so ever.

CD/DVD Reader
500GB 7200 rpm SATA 3.0gb/s HD

I am very happy.

Cons: None at the moment.

Other Thoughts: I hope when I expand my PC down the road this PSU will handle it, but it seems it has the strength!

5 out of 5 eggsCOOLER MASTER Real Power Pro 650W

Pros: COOLER MASTER makes top quality products. They make the best cases, CPU coolers, and power supplies. They're disappearing of newegg though. The CM Real Power Pro 650W is very silent and remains very cool. 650W of power is plenty for most, and the +12v line is great. Three +12v rails with 19A each, 57A total. If all +12v rails are used you still have over 40A available. Power switch on the back with an LED next to it comes in handy. It's small in size so it will fit in any PC case. 80 Plus certified/NVIDIA SLI certified.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: If you're looking for a modular PSU, look at the COOLER MASTER Silent Pro M series which recently made their way to newegg, or the superior Real Power M series. The Real Power M feature more power than the Silent Pro M. Modular PSU's are less reliable and slightly larger.
