Good
- Pros: The plus is the cords hold into place and don't slip out. Where I have read others well. It has enough power for the buck. I am running a DFI board with a E7200 OC to 3.0ghz and 3650 ATI x2 in crossfire, WD 80gb sata2 x2, dvd rw, 3 fans plus the cpu fan. on it. It is holding well
- Cons: the only real con is the cords are stiff and makes it a little hard to place them.
Quiet and Cool
- Pros: Good build quality. Four 12v rails are nice, and an unusual feature. Delivers solid power on every rail without spikes or sags. Active PFC is much appreciated. Modular cables are a plus, all cables are sleeved and color-coded for easy connectivity. Runs quiet and cool even at heavy load. Includes cable ties and printed documentation that is quite helpful and informative. Newegg savings make this unit a terrific value.
- Cons: The cables are rather stiff, so you may want to look inside your case and flex them appropriately ahead of time to ensure easy routing once everything is connected.
- Other Thoughts: After switching to dual 9600 GT cards, I wanted to upgrade from my beloved Corsair 620 watt PSU for added stability. This unit fit the bill perfectly. Now my system is rock solid stable and has extra power to spare for future upgrades. As always, Newegg amazes me with their fast shipping and great service. Overall, I am delighted with this product.

WARNING -- Stay AWAY from this power supply...
- Pros: 1) Cost
2) It's a "green product" 3) Modular design 4) Lots of connections
- Cons: I bought this power supply on 11-30-08 as a spare for that day when I had a problem. I ended up using it in my new build for my i7-920 gaming PC in November of 2009. It lasted LESS THAN two months. My setup isn't unlike a lot of other out there. i7-920, 6Gb triple channel DDR3, twin 1Gb Seagate 7200 rpm drives, Blu-Ray drive, GTX 275 and an Omega Striker sound card. 950 watts should run this setup without any issues. I turned off my computer an Friday night and POOF, it wouldn't power on on Saturday afternoon.
- Other Thoughts: I substituted in a 700 watt power supply and it works great. I have submitted for a RMA from COOLMAX and from what I'm reading on here, I'm not sure what will happen with it. -- For the record, I use a power conditioner in front of my electronics, so "bad power" shouldn't be an issue. (My other 2 computers work just fine!!)
Also, I bought the CORSAIR CMPSU-1000HX last night from NewEgg as my replacement. Let's hope it works out well.
- Pros: Great Power Supply. Have had 0 problems.
- Cons: None
AS OTHERS HAVE NOTED: THE FAN DIES
- Pros: The price
The economy of power consumption
- Cons: The fan dies
- Other Thoughts: In the process of trying to get the unit swapped right now, and am probably going to be stuck without a computer for a while. I am hoping that they will do the right thing and send me a replacement with a return shipping label, but I doubt it.
