1 out of 5 eggsBeware

This review is from: Thermaltake TR2 TR-600 600W ATX12V v2.3 SLI Ready CrossFire Ready Power Supply

Pros: Had a great set of connectors for my AMD FX build. Had just enough SATA power connectors for all my drives (6). Matched my black Redbone case perfectly.

Cons: Lasted almost exactly 60 days before developing an ear-piercing squeal. Sent in the rebate IMMEDIATELY after building my system (following the instructions EXACTLY) and I still haven't received it.

Other Thoughts: would be a great PSU, even without the rebate incentive if it actually worked without screaming at me.

Manufacturer Response:

Hi Jason A,

5 out of 5 eggsGood Supply

This review is from: Thermaltake TR2 TR-600 600W ATX12V v2.3 SLI Ready CrossFire Ready Power Supply

Pros: Installed without a hitch.
Fit in the case snugly.
Had all the necessary connections
Everything was flexible and easily adjusted for airflow.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: I probably won't ever need another power supply with this build. If you're going mid-tier, go with this. Solid choice.

1 out of 5 eggsDead after 40 days...no returns

This review is from: Thermaltake TR2 TR-600 600W ATX12V v2.3 SLI Ready CrossFire Ready Power Supply

Pros: Worked fine for a month.

Cons: Shut down PC normally and it wouldn't start back up. Swapped PSU with a spare and it started right back up with no problems. Basically a $50 PSU rental.

Other Thoughts: I've had numerous of generic PSUs last much longer. Very disappointing.

3 out of 5 eggsDecent price. See below comments

This review is from: Thermaltake TR2 TR-600 600W ATX12V v2.3 SLI Ready CrossFire Ready Power Supply

Pros: Seems to put out the power needed. Come in a nice box and everything worked fine.

Cons: After owning/using this PSU the last 2-3 weeks the fan has been making loud noises and I know for a fact it is the bearings in the fan/the fan it'self. If I slightly tap the side of the PSU sometimes I can make the noise stop for a while. If you plan to use this for a 24/7 machine, I would look at a better PSU that has a better fan.

Other Thoughts: Just wish the fan was not already having issues. I do not see paying money to ship it for RMA and be out the extra cost.

1 out of 5 eggsBroken Fan - High Pitched Noise

This review is from: Thermaltake TR2 TR-600 600W ATX12V v2.3 SLI Ready CrossFire Ready Power Supply

Pros: The installation was easy and it fits in my case just fine.

Cons: The PSU was fine at first, but after a few weeks it's making a horrible high pitched noise.

I am guessing the fan is going out.

Or my insanity from the high pitched noise it's making me see things down there. I can't seem to isolate what is making noise, but it's most definitely not sword wielding mice.

Other Thoughts: Hopefully I can get this resolved. Most likely I am just going to replace the PSU.

5 out of 5 eggs

This review is from: Thermaltake TR2 TR-600 600W ATX12V v2.3 SLI Ready CrossFire Ready Power Supply

Pros: very nice power supply works great

Cons: there mail in rebate program is a joke. I mean you have only 20 days to send it in and that starts when you place the order, so by the time I received the item and then installed to see if it was going to work before I hack the UPC # out of the box and not be able to return it the great 20 days have expired. that's why these places do these rebates they make money on people like me that works for a living and doesn't have a lot of free time. I think if there going to have a mail in rebate it should be at least 30 days

1 out of 5 eggsPiece of poop

This review is from: Thermaltake TR2 TR-600 600W ATX12V v2.3 SLI Ready CrossFire Ready Power Supply

Pros: 600W for 60 bucks.

Cons: Not rated, random computer shut downs. DO NOT BUY

Other Thoughts: My PC set up was beyond perfect. Air in and air out. temperature was all very low yet, this thing would give out mid-gaming.
