5 out of 5 eggsWOW...doesn't that say it all?

Pros: This is my first Thermaltake PSU and I think they have won a new loyal customer. I was very impressed with the packaging and, like another reviewer, I was in awe when I saw how huge and how heavy it was. I had no issues with the length of the cords and, even though I didn't use it, the included extension cable for the 8-pin, EATX 12 v connector cable was a nice touch. I wanted the best modular/semi-modular PSU for my latest build and I did a lot of research before settling on this one. I've had my new build up and running for almost a month now with no issues whatsoever. I clearly made the right choice in my selection. Thank you Thermaltake for the superior products and thank you Newegg for giving us such a wide selection of products to meet our individual wants/needs!! Checkout my Other Thoughts and take a look at the Thermaltake Chaser MK-I case...you won't be disappointed!

Cons: None, zero, zilch

5 out of 5 eggsGreat PSU

Pros: Quiet. Great warranty. Lots of cables. Fit perfectly in the Thermaltake chaser Mk-I case.

Cons: The 6 pin CPU cable was a little short to route thru side panel for cable management. So I just connected it directly instead.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat power supply!

Pros: Great deal at $139.99 for 850 watts! Quiet. Voltages test rock solid. Sharp looking design. Packed in the box very well so it is unlikely it would be damaged in shipping. Nice little bag comes with it for storing the modular cables you don't use.

Cons: Semi-modular. Would have been nice to see it fully modular, but I knew it was not when I bought it, so I won't take an egg off for this.

Other Thoughts: Received confirmation today, via e-mail, from Thermaltake that my rebate has been approved and will be sent out in 8-10 weeks. While 8-10 weeks is ridiculous, it is nice to see that Thermaltake communicates well and is is taking care of my rebate request appropriately, unlike some other companys out there.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Everything works as it should.

Cons: Power cables are too short to plug into motherboard. I have an Antec Three Hundred Two and it wasn't long enough to reach the motherboard power at the very top.

5 out of 5 eggsSuperb PSU

Pros: VERY well packaged, and wrapped... When I first opened the Newegg box I saw this huge PSU box that just made me stare at it. Opening it everything was separated, packed and kept in such a way that looked very professional. Wasn't simply thrown into the box. Even the spare cords were in a bag with a Velcro tip to hold them int there, and the PSU was wrapped in clothe instead of plastic.

This isn't my first Thermaltake PSU I've used, but it is the first I've used for my own system and I was quite happy with how well it appeared to be made and the overall look of it was pleasing as well.

ALL of the cords are well made and the clips are a positive click when seated. I also like how they are wrapped in a plastic mesh sleeve instead of plain wires.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Quite heavy... compared to my last PSU this one has some more weight to it. Actually surprised me at how heavy it was.

No defined up/down position... words on the backside of the PSU face one way, but the words on the side of the PSU face the other... was confusing at first but figured it out after a few tries aligning it with the case. I'm sure my case was the problem of most of my confusion since the PSU mounting holes were all wrong(Rosewill for ya...).

1 out of 5 eggs911 !!!!!

Pros: Plenty of connectors.

Cons: PAY close attention which modular plugs go where. I made a mistake and plugged in a peripheral SATA power cable into a PCI-X without paying attention. I've seen lots of these power supplies and usually molex only fit where they belong. I had a hard drive go up in FLAMES, literally!!!

Other Thoughts: In the end, this was my fault. However, the nature of electricity generally commands strict codes and guidelines. These connectors should really not fit in the PCIX jacks. This could have been catastrophic. The peripheral jacks were black making it hard to see, whereas the PCI are red. I simply overlooked the whole row of black connectors. Good reminder to not multitask when it comes to these kind of things! 1 egg to draw attention to this comment for safety! Otherwise probably a 5 egg power supply

Manufacturer Response:

Hi Steve,

Thank you for your feedback! We greatly appreciate it and will forward this to our design team.

5 out of 5 eggsLots of Power/Easy setup

Pros: Cable management is great, use the cables only that is needed. Leanghths are good. no problems reaching anything in a Coolermaster elite Midtower,670 GTX ,Asus Deluxe Z77 MB, 5 fans, 3HD and 3 dvd/cd drives,3770KProcessor

Cons: Maybe more flexible ends on the sata cable. Always have a tight fit when two DVD drives are right next to each other.

Other Thoughts: Bottom Mountable, have fan Blowing out the Bottom of case and seems to work fine, Running at 29DEG C.
My case has cable access holes that u can run the cables behind everything so the cable Modular management works super. Very clean looking inside. Power Supply color scheme and rounded corners looks great

5 out of 5 eggsSuperb

Pros: Price (promo code + sale + free shipping + mir), quiet, smooth stable power, quality look and feel, lots of cables, cable lengths are good for full tower, runs cool, 7 year warranty, easy install...there are probably more not coming to mind

Cons: None thus far

Other Thoughts: It handles OCing i5 3570K and HD 6950 (7900/680 - come on Santa!!) with ridiculous ease. There is plenty of headroom for faster OCing of more powerful CPUs and video cards. The 8 pin CPU power connector may need an extension for cable management in your full tower, but that is the only cable needing one in mine. This power supply is worth every penny, but to have gotten it for what equated to 50% off with promos and such makes this one heck of a steal for me. I keep looking over my shoulder for "the man." ;)

5 out of 5 eggsWorks as advertised

Pros: All I can say is that this PSU installed super easy and it seems to work as advertised. Very quiet. I cannot even hear it. Fits perfectly into my new Cooler Master case, and runs all hardware as advertised.

Cons: The 8-pin, EATX 12 v connector cable to the motherboard could be an inch longer!! BUT, I managed to route it, unseen, in my new Cooler Master case . . . barely!!!!
