5 out of 5 eggs

This review is from: Thermaltake TR2 W0070 430W ATX12V v2.3 Power Supply

Pros: I have bought about 5 of these over the past few years and they have all been great. I have been running two together for a few years and it handled SLI GTX480s with no problems. I would definitely recommend for a lower end system that does not have a power hungry GPU (unless you are going to use two like I did).

Cons: Contains no bacon

Other Thoughts: The available PCI-e connectors were somewhat limited for my system, but this is something you know before you buy.

4 out of 5 eggslike a charm

This review is from: Thermaltake TR2 W0070 430W ATX12V v2.3 Power Supply

Pros: It has plenty of power for my old computer and works perfectly

Cons: not enough power for my new build and it's not modular or simi-modular

Other Thoughts: I bought this at my local Best Buy to replace the PSU that died in my HP Pavilion media center a1357c running win 7. I had running for 2 1/2 months and either the mobo or CPU died now the new mobo and CPU take over 200w of the 430 and i still need a graphics card. I'm hoping the new board will fit the old tower because I don't have enough for a new tower in my budgit

4 out of 5 eggsRebate is a lie

This review is from: Thermaltake TR2 W0070 430W ATX12V v2.3 Power Supply

Pros: The power supply works really well.
Hope it will last at least 3 years.

Cons: Rebate never arrived, never heard back from the company, thermaltake is the oppsosite of Newegg. You can't trust them.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks fine

This review is from: Thermaltake TR2 W0070 430W ATX12V v2.3 Power Supply

Pros: More than enough connections for a basic home PC with limited gaming

Relatively quiet (although this is the loudest component on my PC)

Cons: Some of the Molex/SATA connections on the same cable are just tad too close together in some instances and need to use the second cable, but that could just be how I have things set up.

Other Thoughts: Been in use since December of 2014 and no hiccups at all.

This review is from: Thermaltake TR2 W0070 430W ATX12V v2.3 Power Supply

Pros: -cheap
-fits in trashcan
-small
-doubles as a heating unit

Cons: -Piece of cr**
-constantly buzzing (not coil whine but bzzzzzzzzzzzz)
-Actually 350w
-still buzzes when switch is off
-makes you feel like it will explode and your house will burn down

Other Thoughts: DONT EVEN BUY

5 out of 5 eggs8 years going strong

This review is from: Thermaltake TR2 W0070 430W ATX12V v2.3 Power Supply

Pros: Reliable, I have had this in a computer for 8 years with no issue. I do clean the dust out of the case twice per year.

Cons: Not very fancy with the cables.

Other Thoughts: If you are hesitating about this because of the low price, don't. It's been a workhorse for 8 years running. Not as fancy as some other ones but the job gets done.

1 out of 5 eggsDOA

This review is from: Thermaltake TR2 W0070 430W ATX12V v2.3 Power Supply

Pros: -PSU looks good

Cons: Came in DOA, hopefully Thermaltake won't screw me with RMA this time.

Other Thoughts: I bought this today, and couldn't wait to hook it up along with my new GT 730. I was disappointed to say the least. I plugged it in, and it made a high pitched whining sound. That definitely was no coil.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat budget PSU

This review is from: Thermaltake TR2 W0070 430W ATX12V v2.3 Power Supply

Pros: I picked this up at a local retailer to fill the gap while newegg rma's my modular psu. Honestly though its doing the job well and looks almost as nice. I had to do more cable routing to achieve this. It will make an awesome little backup or i may throw it in a build for my 16 year old. I'm happy with it so far.

Cons: Its not 80+

Other Thoughts: I've never had a bad thermaltake product. I even had them cooling 478 p4's in surveillance system builds that lived in the worst possible dust, grease, and heat you could imagine. I had hard drives, boards, and lots of other stuff die, but none of the thermaltake cpu fans i used. Nice to see the same quality crosses over to the PSU's they make.

5 out of 5 eggs6 years and counting

This review is from: Thermaltake TR2 W0070 430W ATX12V v2.3 Power Supply

Pros: Been running 24/7 for the past 6 years and still running our low powered server without a hiccup.

Cons: None after 6 years of continuous use.

Other Thoughts: I keep putting off that I should eventually need it to be replaced as I don't want it to take out our server rig when it dies but it just keeps on ticking so I became a procrastinator cause of it.
