1 out of 5 eggsHigh pitch noise

Pros: none that I know of

Cons: It makes a high pitch noise all the time, power on or off. This makes the unit pretty much unusable.

On top of that, the connectors were poor quality, I had to use more convincing than usual to set them in.

Other Thoughts: I bought this PSU a couple of months ago, and only today I got to install it in a machine. This unit should have never passed QC

5 out of 5 eggsIncredible Value

Pros: Easily one of the best PSUs out there. The hybrid mode is fantastic. It has three different modes: Fanless, silent, and cool. Even on the highest setting, this power supply is super quiet. I purchased this in January and have been using it since late February, and it's given me no issues whatsoever.

Cons: It wasn't free.

Other Thoughts: I paid about $110 for this on a nice sale, with a $20 MIR that brought it down to $90. If you can, wait for a sale!

5 out of 5 eggsSo Far so Good

Pros: Completely modular, flat black cables, quite even on normal fan mode, 80+ platinum and I can’t forget about the 7 year warranty.

Cons: Cables are a bit stiff and no flat SATA power cable.

Other Thoughts: Was worried about coil whine but I have not ran into yet. :)

5 out of 5 eggsIt's the Best!

Pros: Energy Saver; 3770K clocked @ 4.0Ghz, HD7950 W/ 3GB GDDR5, 2 750GB HDDS & SSD, H60 Liquid Cooling, 4 120mm Case Fans, 16GB DDR3 2133 RAM ,ALL RUNNING AT MAX and only 283 Watts!!!
RUNNING AT IDLE only 104 Watts!!!

Cons: Only for the power companies!

Other Thoughts: This power supply improved my computer efficiency by approximatly 18% and runs nearly cold; I have good hearing and can never hear it. I sometimes check to see if the fan is spinning. The Hybrid tech on it works really nice if you want silence.

2 out of 5 eggsFirst Try. Will edit later.

Pros: Great PSU, modular, and quite.

Cons: However after about 10 - 12 hours the PSU started whining, even when my computer is in sleep mode.

Other Thoughts: After a day of it, i started the RMA process. Hopefully the next one won't have this problem. I will edit this review after i have the new one.

1 out of 5 eggsEfficient but has issues...

Pros: -Really efficient power suppy
-Fan stays low
-Doesnt get very hot
-flat cables

Cons: -coil whine, even with everything unplug except AC cable you can still hear it so it is not my components. it is annoying when going to sleep or near the computer.

Even worse i didn't get my $20 and i pay $160 just to have headaches...

Other Thoughts: Own it for 4 months now I just dealt with it by turning it off from the switch in the back when i go to sleep.
Hoping leaving the coil whine there doesn't cause any damage...

5 out of 5 eggsGreat PSU!

Pros: Perfect, nothing else to say.

- Very low noise, or no noise under iddle.
- No high pitched whine like other users.
- Great quality and efficiency

Cons: Cables a little pain to sleeve due to some splited ones, or Y cable.

2 out of 5 eggsBest Specs Don't Matter With Whine

Pros: -Very Efficient
-Nice packaging
-Solid looking unit
-Great specs for the price

Cons: -Coil whine, high pitched noise
-Cables are not 1 to 1, hard to sleeve

Other Thoughts: I'm very disappointed that Seasonic has not addressed the whining issue. All the best specs in the world are useless if the computer is annoying to sit next to. The build quality is great and the voltage regulation is top notch. Its a real shame that noise kills the product. I'd only recommend this unit to someone that is building a NAS that will go in a basement away from people.

1 out of 5 eggsXP2 still has quality issues

Pros: Best voltage regulation, ripple suppression, and efficiency in it's class.

Cons: Infamous high pitched whine while plugged into a system.

Other Thoughts: It's odd for Seasonic Will stick with them though, just not this round on their Platinum 660w PSU

5 out of 5 eggsNo problems yet

Pros: I burned this psu in on a old P4 system by running it nonstop for a week to stress it.
Rails are dead on, no high pitched noises or voltage hum.
It's the V2 version.
Ability to allow the fan to run slowly for more airflow even though it's not really needed until after 50% draw.
The Sanyo fan will easily outlast the PSU even running 24/7.

Cons: None, I even received my MIR for 20 bucks, it's always a bonus when those show up.
A PSU of this power and quality for $90 is a steal!!

Other Thoughts: As other people have mentioned this psu is designed to be mounted on bottom cases due to the orientation of the sata plugs. They run bottom to top, not top to bottom.
You can mount it on top but the lines would go towards to bottom of the case, bend and go back up to be correct.
A tall tower case the line most likely won't make it length wise.
