5 out of 5 eggsstabilized my computer

Pros: Exactly what I would expect to pay for the quality. Fixed the computer having random slowdowns and reboots. Swapped an old FSP 500W unit out for this one. Seems like the old unit has had trouble being stable for many years but kept running. It had lower 12v combined, plus it was split rail. Glad to have one that's not split. This new unit has been in for over a month. Was prompted to actually install it when someone donated a newer graphics card to me, and it would reboot when starting a game. Instantly stopped doing it, and also gave me another 100mhz CPU o.c., which the old one wouldn't do when it was new. Not exactly using alot of voltage. One card, one CPU very slightly overvolted and with a 400mhz overclock. This is why we get power supplies 500W or better regardless of how much theoretical power your components will use.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: Recommend, but consider going 620W if it's not much different in price. I would even get a 750W unit if I wasn't at the time just looking for the lowest price for highest quality unit I could find.

5 out of 5 eggsStill Going

Pros: Size, quiet

Cons: Not modular

Other Thoughts: Didn't have a big budget to work with when I built my rig back at the end of 2011, this fit the bill mostly in price. Of course at that price it was not modular, but that is the only negative. Has run quiet and cool for 4+ years with no issues at all. I currently using it in my existing case with a new MB and a I7 5820K CPU, handling it just fine.
Considering the M1211 series for a new case, only with more power for a new graphics card.

4 out of 5 eggsFantastic Non-Modular PSU

Pros: I am running a server on this PSU and I am very happy with it, it is quiet, reliable, and stable. It can handle an overclock, and it is just another fantastic PSU from SeaSonic.

Cons: Not modular

Other Thoughts: I wish it was modular like my 520 EVO but it is still fantastic in a large case.

Manufacturer Response:

Hi Stacey, The S12II-520 is the Modular version of the M12II-520. If you wish to have the Modular version, then please consider the M12II / G / S12G / X / P / FL series. Thank you.

5 out of 5 eggsQuality PSU

Pros: Bought to power a new i5 6600K/Gigabyte GAZ170X Gaming 5 build. Although listed as a tier 2 PSU on Tomshardware PSU tiers, this Seasonic unit is nearly perfect in terms of quality and performance. My voltages on all rails are within 1% and there is 0 fluctuation, regardless of load. Although the wattage is moderate, easily handles my overclock and GTX 970 with plenty of power to spare and is virtually silent. There is no better budget PSU. Cables, while not modular, are flat with plenty of connectors (2x6+2 PCIe) with the exception of the ATX cable, which is round and sleeved. Cable management is easy with a good case.

Cons: The only complaint is that the EPS12v cable could be a little longer. While I was able to route mine behind my ATX mobo (PSU bottom mounted), it is tight and difficult to plug in. Not a problem if using a smaller form factor mobo or running the cable on top the motherboard.

Other Thoughts: Google other reviews of this PSU. Its hard to believe the price for this one. I have owned several other Seasonic power supplies and they have all been stellar.

1 out of 5 eggsbad

Pros: nothing

Cons: It sometimes works normally, but sometimes makes my house trip when I press power-button. When I found that problem was made by it,the numbers of date is nore than 30 days,I cannot refund or replacement this problem product.

Manufacturer Response:

Hi Baoyin, I am sorry for the inconvenience this has caused. If your home fuse is tripping, then perhaps you will need to check for possible short circuit or grounding issues either in your wall socket or possibly in your system. Please visit www.seasonicusa.com to start a RMA and please contact us via newegg@seasonicus.com if you have any issue or concerns. Thank you.

5 out of 5 eggsVery Good Unit

Pros: Extremely quiet in my application.

Excellent SeaSonic quality...as expected.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Keep in mind, this fan does not have any modular cables. So make sure you have space in your case for a bundle of cables.

5 out of 5 eggsA+

Pros: what is there to say? i ordered, it shipped, i received and i installed. it was easy to do.
i am not an "inside pc" computer person, but i have done all of my own work on them over the years. this was simple. unscrew the old, take out, screw in the new and power on.

great product so far.
bought november 2014 and running strong.

Cons: none so far. i hope like everyone that it holds up for a good while. i havent really used this pc much so even though it is close to a year old, it hasnt had much run time on it. but, i also don't run this pc hard, even though it is a gaming pc. im a light gamer basically.

1 out of 5 eggsDOA

Pros: If not working out of the box is a pro

Cons: Dead on arrival. Will never order from seasonic again.

Manufacturer Response:

Hi Vince, Sorry for the inconvenience but for your unit, did you make sure all the necessary cables are connected? Often times even if one cable is not properly connected, the unit will not start up. All units are tested before leaving the factory to reduce DOA incidences. If you have any questions, please contact us at: newegg@seasonicus.com Thank you.

5 out of 5 eggsNo Problems

Pros: Nice PSU. As of this review it has run for six months 24/7, no problems. SeaSonic is on my short list of PSU brands worth looking at (and it is a very short list).

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I did the math and the electricity savings of getting a higher efficiency PSU than this were perfectly matched by the price increase.
