5 out of 5 eggsGreat Power Supply

This review is from: CORSAIR CXM series CX750M 750W ATX12V v2.3 SLI CrossFire 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Modular Active PFC Power Supply New 4th Gen CPU Certified Haswell Ready

Pros: Great power supply. Came nicely packaged worked perfect out the box and so far its working great in my first build (which I am using right now lol). Very quiet fan everything runs great.

Cons: None that I could think of.

Other Thoughts: When me and my dad were putting together my PC we accidentally stripped one of the holes on the bottom left corner, either because part of the case was in the way (Corsair 500r) or some other reason. But either way this PSU is working as it should.

2 out of 5 eggsWorks well, but coil whine is LOUD!!!

This review is from: CORSAIR CXM series CX750M 750W ATX12V v2.3 SLI CrossFire 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Modular Active PFC Power Supply New 4th Gen CPU Certified Haswell Ready

Pros: Powerful, modular, plenty of connections, solid construction.

Cons: Under load, coil whine is louder than Video card fans, Stock intel CPU cooler, and spinning hard drives combined. Considering the noise, the price is not great for what you get.

Other Thoughts: I can't overstate how insanely loud the coil whine is. When I first heard it, I thought the compressor on my refrigerator (next room) was grinding itself to pieces, or that the neighbor's truck's brake pads had worn to the rivets, and he was driving around the block with the pedal down.

So many reviews discuss this noise, and it seems like it is part of normal working operation: Many of the owners RMAed them, only to find the replacement had the same problem. I should have looked for the reviews before purchasing. I returned this PSU within a day or two and bought an enermax 630W.

4 out of 5 eggsGood PSU

This review is from: CORSAIR CXM series CX750M 750W ATX12V v2.3 SLI CrossFire 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Modular Active PFC Power Supply New 4th Gen CPU Certified Haswell Ready

Pros: Its works and run well.

Cons: cables are too short.

Other Thoughts: Had an issue with it at start up where it would not supply power to the system. Not sure what the cause or problem was that occurred but I reseated the cables, and she worked. Thus far no issues at all. Smooth even power supply.

1 out of 5 eggsDown right awful

This review is from: CORSAIR CXM series CX750M 750W ATX12V v2.3 SLI CrossFire 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Modular Active PFC Power Supply New 4th Gen CPU Certified Haswell Ready

Pros: it worked while it lasted.

Cons: within the first week of building my pc, i got a random shutdown. i didnt think much of it at the time, until 3 weeks after. it was shutdown after another. it would work for awhile then again turn off. Turns out this was just a cheaply made tier 3 psu. I'm replacing it with a Seasonic M12 II 850W.

1 out of 5 eggsDOA

This review is from: CORSAIR CXM series CX750M 750W ATX12V v2.3 SLI CrossFire 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Modular Active PFC Power Supply New 4th Gen CPU Certified Haswell Ready

Pros: None

Cons: It was DOA. I did an out of the case test and no lights came on, no fans spun, nothing happened.

Other Thoughts: I will never again buy another Corsair PSU.

1 out of 5 eggsDOA

This review is from: CORSAIR CXM series CX750M 750W ATX12V v2.3 SLI CrossFire 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Modular Active PFC Power Supply New 4th Gen CPU Certified Haswell Ready

Pros: I don't know.

Cons: Nothing to say but dead on arrival.

Other Thoughts: Newegg return policy helped and I got a full refund on this PSU. They said that it is very rare for a CORSAIR PSU to be DOA but when I read the reviews on this thing I saw a lot of DOA.

1 out of 5 eggsGarbage product, Garbage customer service. Don't buy from Corsair!

This review is from: CORSAIR CXM series CX750M 750W ATX12V v2.3 SLI CrossFire 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Modular Active PFC Power Supply New 4th Gen CPU Certified Haswell Ready

Pros: Powers up my system.

Cons: Before I begin, I want to let you readers know that I am partially deaf and that my system is inside a Fractal Define R4(non glass window) computer case. With that being said, the noise that came out from the first psu that I've received was awfully loud even for a partially deaf person with a sound proof case. The coil whine and the whirl sound was very VERY noticeable even while gaming and I could not tolerate it. It was very upsetting because I bought this psu solely after reading many reviews which I now convinced that most of them are probably from Corsair company. Anyways, so I called Corsair to tell them how upset I was and to get a replacement and they put me on hold for 15 minutes from the get go. Then they try to compensate for their awful customer service by giving me a pre paid label(like that's going to fix anything) to ship back their garbage that I bought from them to get a new and hopefully non whining product like how it is supposed to be. So anyways I just received my replacement a week ago and I didn't even touch it until tonight. I just recently got done hooking the replacement to my system and I am so freaking disappointed and sad to the max. I spent about an hour carefully doing cable management to make everything look nice, hoping that this would be it only later to know that Corsair has wasted my time once again with their garbage . The 'replacement' that they've sent me sounds exactly like the first psu that I've received, extremely loud and intolerable. I swear Cosair sent me the SAME thing back to me but this time they'ved wrapped it up in new wrapping. I believe the price that they put on this psu says a lot. It's cheap because the product is cheap. DO NOT buy this garbage product and I highly recommend you to not buy Corsair products. You will waste money and time and be very disappointed and sad like me. Thanks for reading my review, I hope you guys can find it helpful.

Other Thoughts: Should've known that the cheap price on this product meant something. I will be looking forward towards an EVGA psu. Hopefully they will not disappoint me like Corsair has.
